I am a cosmetologest and have been doing hair for 23 years. I have worked steered towards barbering the last couple of yrs and LOVE it so much more BUT have pretty much trained myself with fades as we dont learn them in cosmetology school and i always get stuck on bald fades. Some of the guys i have worked with try to explain but they tend to bounce all over the place and i have a hard time understanding. I finally decided to jump on youtube and i found you and i am SO SO GLAD i did!! You have explained things perfectly!! Thank you so much! I DEFINETY will keep following you to learn as much as i can

About 500 hrs into a 600 hr barber course. Shear work I’ve figured out with almost zero issues. (Most all clients I’ve been given gentlemen that don’t care for clippers.) I’m still struggling with clipper work. Especially with fades and tapers. Your videos are extremely helpful. Hopefully I’ll be able to get this down. 🤞🏼

I'm watching this because I'm self taught but just for my own beard. I'm trying to perfect a skin fade, but laterally from the sides (whole sideburn to jaw is 0). Got the stylecraft saber but only a cheap clipper with 0.8 mm shortest length. This already helped so much though, especially the tips on how to hold the clipper. Thanks a ton

I like this explanation of blending lines because I can see it emphasizes consistency. Doing the same blend every time, all the time. One thing that always makes me second guess myself is when the client has crazy contours, dips, or even folds in their scalp, which throws off the blend. But this way will help you treat it just the same as if you had a perfectly smooth canvas to work with. 👌 💯

Awesome content ❤ it and I personally think that wrist flipping should be done when they master the steps first and create that barber eye 😅.The flipping of the wrist will come naturally and why flip the wrist if you can’t understand why you are doing it 😮 or where to do it and what results you will get from doing it. If you are beginning the main thing is practicing these steps and if you’re struggling to get out the line then you are a beginner if you are not consistent enough you are beginning and the whole point is that if you follow the process enough and with practice and reps you will get the line out and Eddie speaks the truth and follow his steps and you’ll get it your developing your barber eyes because you can’t cut what you don’t see. Amazing content very well spoken advice and I am a barber who has learned long hair and that was my struggle at the time I started watching KZbin academy and Eddie is teaching very good steps and process and all you have to do is be open and action,practice practice and practice.BLESSINGS and good luck to everyone.

Extremely well put 💯 I myself don't have a detachable 00000 and don't like to dull out my trimmers so I like setting my original line with the clipper closed, go under it with the trimmer's corners and hit it with the shaver under that.
@richardpurk63062 жыл бұрын
Easy to follow. So. On open taper to 1 guard. Using the half guard you do not make another guideline right? Your just going over your open taper guideline right? Only your doing it with half guard on

Correct if I am wrong, You are using And is Maters here....Open all the way with no guard is more close to a 1 than other clipper manufacturers. which would be closer to 1/2 guard closed. I know we are talking small mm's here but that's where the fade is either a success or failure....
