I used to be a nanny of a 10yo boy who was obsessed with prime and Mr Beast and all that bs, and while I wasn't a huge fan of it at first, it quickly became the bane of my existence. he worshipped the ground MB spat on for crying out loud. but what's most alarming was how conscious he was about counting calories- no matter how much I, and the people around him, reassured him that he was healthy and athletic (honestly he was a bit underweight) he was hyper-focused on every calorie that entered his body, not understanding the importance of a well-balanced diet, especially for a kid like him who was constantly doing sports. the only thing he ever really fought with me over was eating during days home from school, if I didn't intervene he just wouldn't eat. having Logan, ksi and Mr.Beast in his ear, talking about calories like they're the worst thing in the world, I can't imagine the damage it could potentially do to him. I honestly believe these guys need to be scrutinized harder, this isn't just marketing crappy lunches to a gullible audience, they're looked up to as role models and have the potential of causing very lasting harm to our youth.

I hate the "less calories" thing for kids because they are growing and using so much energy! I know people think kids are getting lazy, but i work with like 40 kids in an after school program and they *run* and they chose to excert themselves. Just yesterday one of my kids hadnt had enough to eat and after playing and running around she was dizzy, lethargic, couldn't catch her breath, nauseous, everything! And when i asked her what she'd ate, it was the school lunch and a snack during out snack time, but she still used more than she put in and it made her feel really sick! And after she had another snack? She started to feel way better because she had fuel! Beware of empty calories ( chips, soda candy, cookies) but dont villainize it. Calories are just a way that energy stored presented in a way we can understand.

I have a friend who has a 10-year-old. I have been watching this 10 year old go through social media trends like crazy. She went through the Sephora drunk elephant, & other expensive skin care that she does not need. She needed it she said it was a must-have all her friends have it. Now she's over it. She knows to go to Daddy for anything she wants. A lot of times mom doesn't know, until she discovers it. (They live comfortably). My friend's daughter goes to a private school, where the parents have the means to get the children what they want. You don't want to be the child without. Which is sad. She has a few hundred dollars worth of skin products what day has been barely touched, collecting dust. Then she had to have the Stanley cup, with all the accessories, a different colors. I picked up her and her friend one day, & all the kids running out of the school yard had their Stanley cups. Now there's a cabinet full of Stanley cups, that you lost interest in. I realized, back in the day, yes there were fads, the kids begged their parents it was a must-have. They usually last at least a season. I have been noticing, fads don't even last a season anymore. Finance literally I would say 3 months, & is there until the next thing. Now, she must have her prime drink. I ran into the store to get one for her. I was like wait a minute let me make sure there's no caffeine in this one. There wasn't. I think I was most upset about the prime. Because it's putting my money in Jake Paul's pocket. Such slimy scam artist. In my opinion. Listen, it sounds like I'm talking bad about the parents. I am not. They are amazing parents. Their children are the most respectful polite kids you ever want to meet. Appearance or good hard-working people that earned everything they have. That's why I wanted to say so much do not buy prime. In my opinion you're putting money in a person's pocket who don't really deserve it. Who is just taking advantage of their young audience. Even if I mean well, I never see anything about any parents choices. I never want them to feel like they are raising their kids wrong or I know better. It's just so frustrating because I just can't stand Jake Paul. Lol

I mean both are valid reasons to not like ai. as an artist (music), I very much am opposed to the idea of both, but especially replacing artists. Art is one of the few things that differentiates us from other species, it is a gift that we give to the earth rather than something we take from the earth (like we usually do). Art is also a great teacher, informing us on new perspectives, new ideas, introspection of the mind and soul, and ai simply cannot replicate that. As you aforementioned, it can only take from what already exists. And sure, ai will probably advance to the point it CAN compose its own music, but it still cannot replace the human soul. And the same goes for all other art forms. I know that your point wasn't to argue this, but I just needed to rant. Take care!

@maem74623 ай бұрын
Exactly more electrolytes aren’t always good. It’s better if you’ve been running around and exercising in some way. Also even in the situation of exercise the better thing for your body is sodium instead of electrolytes. You would at least need the drink yo have some sodium in there or you would need some food that provides that. Electrolytes can help in moments of exercise but you don’t always need just that or need more of them. You did a balance just like you do with almost everything.

The main issue I think people had with Lunchly and the DanTDM situation was how KSI and Logan responded to his tweet. KSI basically responded making fun of Dan's past merch with a toy company, even though KSI was rightfully fact checked showing that he also worked with the same company to make merch. Logan decided to show that Lunchables were under suit for containing lead and, he, was also rightfully fact checked with the multiple suits Prime was issued about them containing lead. Mr. Beast's response was a little better taking a more "here are the health facts" route but it didn't really matter because that wasn't what Dan's tweet was about. However, KSI and Logan continue to harp and hate on ANYONE who say that Lunchly is a bad product, and KSI's tweet about Marques just continues to show that he's not over Dan's tweet even though it was rightful criticism.

It’s not really about wallpaper art commissions (although I have seen those), it’s the fact that ai is trained on hundreds of hours of work by artists across the internet without permission or financial compensation- you can literally generate art in the style of a specific artist and you’ll get a passable result. I don't disagree that Dan's comment is very on-the-nose; obviously they're trying to make money. But I think the underlying point there is that it should be a far bigger deal than it usually is to specifically target children with marketing practices because they are known to be vulnerable to all of them while also having absolutely no idea what is actually good for them or bad for them. I feel like it’s appropriate to address the fact that Dan is making that point because he has a child, and therefore feels more qualified. The big thing is that Mr. Beast, KSI, and Logan Paul (separately, and combined) have the money to do the research and collect the team to create a healthier alternative. They push out trash because it makes them money, but they could push out something worth while (and probably, in all honesty, make more money in the end)

With DanTDM's tweet, it seems to me to be less about how they're trying to make money and more about how they're taking advantage of their child fans who don't know any better, how to do their own research, etc. Making money makes sense in this world, but it gets immoral when you're exploiting the innocent to do it. Great video, though.

It’s like Watcher trying to sell their own KZbin videos to broke college students on a monthly subscription, but worse. I feel like the very emotional response to what is an otherwise standard bad business decision comes from the fact that the fundamental misunderstanding of his own audience being so transparent borders on insulting, which, like you said, is very sad to see.

This just seems like a tone deaf app in our current economy. There are some people who can afford to buy a wallpaper app for $60 a year that doesn’t even give you HD quality images of all the wallpapers in the library. Most people don’t have that much money to spend on something so frivolous. At least my streaming apps give me hours of quality time with my family. Do people even change their wallpapers that often? I don’t even pay much attention to mine.

To say most people don't have an extra $60 is INSANE. They certainly do (and if they don't they should be so busy working that they shouldn't even know about this app.) The same way you value hours of content from a streaming site is the same way someone else values a gallery of HD wallpapers. The thing is, generative ai in general is harmful to artists and the environment, as it takes a lot of energy to generate an image originally, except it’s not even original because it has to train itself on artists work, except the artist doesn’t give consent to this, MEANING. Ai is stealing the human artists work, even the largest social media websites started changing their terms of service so they can take said artists work and train their ai’s on it without the artists consent. Commission your local artists!! Even if it’s just for a wallpaper!!! Or just draw it yourself, we need more artists in the world!!!! EDIT: my comments are no longer showing up in this reply section, I’ll try to resolve this soon :) EDIT 2: KZbin shadow banned my reply’s most likely. This comment will disappear and I will no longer be replying to AI supporters, it’s not my job to educate you, look it up yourself if you have an issue with my opinions, thank you to everyone who genuinely had questions, other KZbinrs do wonderful jobs of explaining this issue.

Not it's not, because AI replicates drawings and not art. If your drawing is bland and boring then maybe you don't deserve being called an artist, just a painter. But when it comes to the job market then yes it's really unfair because many put time and effort into those skills.
@Rattersons3 ай бұрын
@@Dgi4zhotsxnofw “AI Art takes jobs from human artists, designers, illustrators, and uses their work without their consent or compensation to create what it calls “new work”. It also devalues the years of practice, unique vision, skill and experience that human artists work hard for.” Quote from the article “Ai Art & The Ethical Concerns of artist.” Also, art is defined as, “the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power.” (Noun). To simply say “No, it’s not” and not provide any evidence or information that proves your point and claim doesn’t fool anyone, your view is incorrect due to the ethical nature of the very large issue arising in generative AI. I am an artist, and from my experience, it takes time to learn art, it’s not something you’re born with, it’s something you improve on, I went through a long period of time where my art was “bland”, with time and effort, I enjoy drawing again, and from a creative perspective, to see a computer generate an image of an anime girl within five seconds, while an artist takes hours to complete it, it’s sickening. Not only is this harmful to animators and voice actors who are being laid off at an all time high, it takes so much energy to generate an image. Along with the fact that AI’s are inbreeding with each other because there is no longer any real artists on instagram, it just looks so emotionless and ugly. I could go on for eternity on why this even as a concept is terrible. Cite your sources.

@@Rattersons You give a lot of valid points, especially on the ethical subject. But, what makes AI art complicated to restrain, is that it is not really stealing art. With that I mean that an AI model that makes an image, is not that different from a human that makes a drawing (emotional connections aside). Both of them had access to art, and have in some way taken inspiration from it. The AI model can just take inspiration from a lot of art pieces and make art a lot quicker. It is thereby not weird that people go to AI instead of human artist, for more simple designs. Yes, artists will lose there job to an extent, but it's like the industrial revolution. Machines take over people's jobs, it's part of the human development. Also, artists are still highly valuable, as the thing that makes a piece actual art, is like you said the story and emotional connection behind it. People that appreciate art know that and will not replace it with AI.
@Rattersons3 ай бұрын
@@sumayaosman6489 This is exactly what I’m talking about though, to use generative ai for something as simpler as a wallpaper, your still taking work away from artists and proudly promoting the use of it, as humans we will never all agree to use this with limits, with generative ai out there and accessible to ANYONE, you bet they’re be some people using it not for its intended purposes. By promoting this harmful material you’re just as bad, it doesn’t take “inspiration” it flat out steals unique styles. It’s literally impossible for a computer to create an original concept, but if you’re going to defend generative ai till the grave, here’s some food for thought, why are we taking away the fun jobs? Make it do factory work or any highly straining physical labor, why does it have to take away creative work and freedom from us? Thousands of voice actors from Hollywood and Disney are being laid off because of this, along with their animators, the ethical issue of this expands so far beyond what I just said, as there’s even voice generative ai. Just because it’s done quicker, it doesn’t mean it’s more valuable than the scribbly drawing of me my little sister made.

The money spent might even be similar to what a year's subscription to that wallpaper app might be, HOWEVER, it's a fully customized one of a kind wallpaper catered exactly to your tastes and exactly what you want it to be, that no one else has unless you or the artist choose to post it somewhere. If it’s a super niche thing and if he knows for a fact they’d be about this he should’ve launched it a bit differently imo. Im not a member of this niche but am a huge mkbhd fan and with the way he announced it, I was expecting a super innovative app that his broader audience would be into. The fact that it is so niche is fine, but the COST calls for more of a low-key rollout. Like mentioning that he specifically released a wallpaper app as a side note in his other video, Instead of drawing a ton of attention to it by audience members who would never even consider downloading (much less paying for) a wallpaper app in the first place. Not only this but (as you called out) the way it contradicts many of his buying / reviewing guidelines. He said recently in response to the Apple intelligence announcement that you should never purchase something based on the promise of it alone. Then he’s talking about how there will be updates that will make the current price worth it down the line. Wym by that lmao

He has a child of his own, who he has kept a good distance away from the internet (good parenting), and has never been in a controversy as far as I am aware. 12:45 nah the best part about the whole DanTDM thing is made that one tweet like almost a month ago and KSI is still causing a fit and losing a battle that Dan isn’t even engaging in

Dan is good dont worry he's never been in any controversys (that i know of) Edit: also funfact Lunchables came out with a healthy version and it flopped

The only controversy that came to mind was him burning one of those hatchable toys, though it didn't truly affect him. iirc, he did bring that controversy up and pointed out about the warning he did give in that video.

The thing is what is the meaning of healthy in this context? Is it less fat and less sugar? Cause that's not healthy for kids. Kids burn that shii out fast af😭 also advertising IN YOUR VIDEO FOR KIDS by saying "less calories" already starts implying that calories are a bad thing. Which they rlly aren't. Nothing from the advertising to the actual product is good
