Usually either insurance incase the opponent actually has something or just combo practice, realistically however a lot of the time it'll just make you over extend an run straight into something

Why do you guys keep asking this question? If you played enough yugioh, you understand you make the best board you can do just in case your opponent survives by some unknown means, he can’t just make a comeback because you went for lethal the moment you had it on board. Once you get burned by enough hand traps and whatnot in that situation, you come to understand. Now if we’re referring to the dude in the video, I’m sure he just forgot his own effect cause he’s dumb.

Because we’ve all tried to be nice and swing for game and got absolutely dusted by something we didn’t expect. Sometimes it’s to get extra practice and see what you can build, deck testing. Sometimes they’re just toxic and don’t like what you’re using.

There is some funny stuff you can do with that, but since it relies on your opponent destroying your stuff it rarely comes up outside of battle destruction shenanigans. It can attach from deck OR Extra Deck too meaning you can do things like set up a Water Enchantress for Adventure Engine plays, protect from destruction with the Infinitrack Link-1, or float an N'Tss if you expect your wipe(s) to get negated.
