Can anyone help me out here…I was always confused as to why Kenjaku turned to attack Yuta, then Yuta was behind him…I thought it had something to do with the comedian dude’s technique😂😂 did it not? If not, then what even is there to discuss here? He very clearly was behind Kenjaku, Kenjaku turns to face/attack him, and by the time he’s facing Yuta, Yuta has already gotten behind him again. I think people really need to get a grip when it comes to power scaling. If you read the Yuki vs Kenjaku fight again, Kenjaku didn't have a lot of faith in his ability to beat her in open combat (before he even knew her CT). He only felt he had the upper hand because he sensed she didn't think she could beat him in a domain battle. Despite the fact that Tengen called him the 2nd best barrier user, he still didn't think it'd be an easy win. So WHY THE HELL would he want to 1v1 Yuta? Ever? Thats a huge risk especially if Yuta comes with someone like Maki. He said Yuta isn't Gojo, he never said Yuta couldn't kill him.

Yea Kenjaku clearly didn't want to face Yuta until he was done eliminating all the culling game players, that's why he was keeping track of his location. Plus he just said that Yuta wouldn't ever replace Gojo as being an unstoppable force against Kenjaku's plans, that doesn't mean he thinks he would be easy to beat or he's not threatened by him, it just means he thinks he is comparable to Yuta and might be able to beat him, this is not something he ever thought about Gojo.

In a way, you could say this is a parallel to volume 0 because near the end of the fight, yuta blitzes behind geto in a similar, nearly slicing off his head but his due to his lack of skill, ended up breaking the sword with too much CE. This time yuta did something similar but didn't make the same mistake as last time, showing his growth in a way.

I dont understand how waiting for right moment to strike makes Yuta a fraud in some fans eyes? Sukuna was camping behind Mahoraga majority of his fight with Gojo to wait till Mahoraga showed how to cut space. Toji was camping the whole time till Gojo was exhausted to actually get a W on him. Most of Kenjaku's plan pretty much had him waiting for the right moment(sealing Gojo, absorbing Mahito). And fans accept these feats make the said characters impressive. So how is Yuta waiting for right moment to behead Kenjaku any lesser? In fact Yuta not trying to do everything on his own shows he's been paying attention to Gojo sensei's classes. Whole point of Gojo raising an entire generation of powerful sorcerers was that they shouldn't have to shoulder everything alone.

Idk I think kenjaku has good chances of winning if he didn’t get sneak attacked. I mean the difference in their power hasn’t even been fully shown. We saw kenjaku beat yuki and choso, and he has an open domain, and likely multiple special grade cursed spirits among all the others at his disposal. One notably being tengen who like kenjaku has the greatest knowledge and use of barrier techniques. And whatever else from the 1000 years he has been around. So I wouldn’t give it to yuta as a definite win for him. Honestly I think kenjaku would take it.

It’s not a blitz. Takaba dulled Kenny senses, then when Kenny sensed Yuta, Yuta anticipated Kenny initial reaction causing Kenny to fall for his feint, allowing Yuta to get behind him and cut off his head. Kenny simply got outmaneuvered and people trying to use this as a huge speed are agenda pushing. Also, if Yuta really was fast enough to just blitz Kenjaku, do you know how many potential plot holes this creates? Yuta being THAT strong doesn’t even make sense narratively In a straight up 1v1, Kenny should win 9/10 times based on current feats.

Yuta finishing giving the Smoke to Kenjaku like he promised is a great moment, for real. If we go off of Gege's preferences for certain characters, Yuta does feel like the real MC given he hasn't had a Single L given to him since he reentered the story. Kenjaku knew, especially since he has access to Geto's body, that he realistically couldn't beat Yuta in a 1v1, especially with Rika being always nearby to him.

Just to add to the yuki vs kenjaku narrative. People keep assuming kenjaku would win because "open barrier domain > barrier domain", but that is only the case if the sure hits are equal. Because if open domains were always stronger, that would make kenny stronger than gojo. You have to stalemate the sure hits within the barrier before you think about attacking the barrier from the outside. So at the end of the day we can't simply assume kenjaku would have won, because if yuki's sure hit is stronger then she would have won the domain clash. I mean kenjaku himself even questions if he could win a domain battle against her and we know he kinda looks down on modern sorcerers so that says alot.

This is the biggest stretch I've ever thought about but what if he's speaking about Itadori in a sense? Kenjaku's end goal was to evolve humanity or something close to that. It's pretty well implied that Itadori ate the remaining Death Womb paintings, and has a soul swapping ct which could be considered an evolution of Kenjaku's own ability. Itadori is the prime example of this evolution Kenjaku sought to bring about, the magnum opus of his life of research, quite literally the masterpiece that binds the gallery together. Say Itadori kills Sukuna, what then? How would literally eating his own siblings, affect his mind and body?

The big problem of powerscaling with powerscaling a series like jjk is that the series doesnt really lend itself to formalist ways of analysis. Fights are so subjetivated that its really impossible to know wether or not characters that are close in power would win or lose, e.j. ryu vs sukuna. While ryu couldve deffo not won, he wouldve still put up a fight, similar to kashimo; yet he's taken out so easily due to the way he was approached by sukuna.

For real I've always wondered how the hell those people that claim kenjaku could low diff Yuta, think the fight would go. Kenjaku has not shown any feat that put him above Yuta. Not in speed, strength, durability, or fighting skill. Everyone just thinks cause Kenjaku has an open barrier domain, he would automatically win. That's weird as Gojo survived the full brunt of MS and could easily teleport out if he wanted to. There's no reason to think Kenjaku sure hit can one-shot Yuta who most likely has the best CE reinforcement outside sukuna and maybe Gojo.

I think this makes sense. He didn't allow kenjaku to be prepared or use his ct or domain which was his main advantage. His superior jujutsu. Blood lusted volume 0 yuta was already shown physically faster than geto near the tail end of their fight so Kenjaku having basically the same stats of geto with additional techniques, could very well be slower than a, blood lusted, more skilled Yuta so yuta owning him like he did while up close makes sense. I like your boogie woogie theory if only though. I also think kenjaku's consciousness could transfer or maybe like you said, his will transfers to tengen. Or this could be just villain yapping, Idk.

This hot take culture we live in has people drawing pretty crazy conclusions. A sneak attack can be the deciding factor for an inferior fighter beating a better fighter. We have many examples from many anime to show this. Thought experiment: Put Kenjaku in the same exact position as Yuta. Kenjaku ready for action. Yuta guard fully down. You would likely get the same result. All attempts to power scale based off this chapter is pure conjecture. This chapter only has merit if you can argue that straight up, Yuta beats Kenjaku in 4 panels.

I think when Kenjaku is surprised he didn’t see okatsu’s attack he genuinely felt like he didn’t want a distraction but then he looks at takaba like he thinks that’s part of his CT because it was established like two chapters earlier that takabas CT can even effect your mental/intentions. If takabas CT actually made kanjaku not a distraction or if he was enjoying himself is up to interpretation. I think kenjaku let his guard down in his own but that’s just me.

My reading on this is that kenjaku lost at his on game (for now, at least). They figured they could use Takaba as the decoy and that never passed throught Kenjaku's mind, he just saw it as a challenge from Takaba. It's sworta like if Gojo thought his oponent was Maho instead of Sukuna, but it's more a merit of planning than a fault of Kenny's. He was as surprised as us, reading it.

In thinking about it there are a lot of ways this could and one of them leaves Yuta in trouble danger. Also spoilers for the last chapter of course. Kenjaku currently seems dead and hints at other people taking up his ideology which would be far more dangerous and that is entirely possible However given the fact that Kenjakue is a brain with a mouth It's entirely possible that this method isn't going to kill him. It is unlikely but possible That Kenjaku is far from dead just yet and his brain might have to be destroyed in order to kill him for good. If he isn't dead for good then perhaps He's about to rise like some kind of horror movie monster which I think is entirely possible. If he does he could get back up and give Yuta a hell of a fight. If he wins that fight which is possible given the fact we know very little about the two of them he could kill Yuta and take Rika which would really make this story a lot more dramatic. Is that possible or going to happen I don't think there is any way of knowing This is JJK after all and don't try to bring up power scaling. I'm sure you love it and that is wonderful but I really couldn't care less

I think the best way to scale Yuta would be through Uro and Yorozu. In the Yorozu fight it was mentioned that Yorozu was comparable to the entire celestial squad in power and Uro was stated to be the leader of the celestial squad. Given this took place in the Heian era Uro should have been the strongest in the celestial squad, Yorozu was also stated to be comparable to the 5 void generals. If we assumeUro is equal to a single void general and the rest of her squad makes up the other 4 than she's 5x weaker than Uro. Yuta would then be about 4x stronger than her by soloing the colony that were stated to be comparable.
