@malpacamusic_10075 жыл бұрын
An excellent example of persistence when pursuing a goal. I've learned the hard way not to go for an amnesia based suggestion as my first one on a subject because it requires a very deep state of trance and rapport that for many, I've found, is not reached right away. It really depends on the subject, some go into deep somnambulism right away, but I've found that it is difficult for many to reach that level of control over their minds right away. I often go for a more catalepsy based suggestion as my opening move, such as perhaps their hand being stuck to their head. This, I've found, helps (although I dislike the word) convince the subject of their new level of power and this paves the way for all the other suggestions one might give, such as a name amnesia like the one you demonstrate here. Just a thing to think about that I've found in my time as a hypnotist, although you are of course free to use whatever methods you desire. I found very fascinating the different methods of framing the suggestion, appealing to the different ways your subject's mind might prefer to think about it in, and I will definitely experiment with them in my own sessions. I also love your mentality of "giving the subject the power" to make changes within themselves, and I also love have you never gave up and kept pushing and pushing until it worked. Overall, top-notch work as always.

Honestly, you are already hypnotized. Your brain is locked away in your cranium and it only understands the outside world based on nerve impulses from your skin, tongue, eyes, etc. It creates it's own world and beliefs based on those things. For instance, your eyes actually see upside down and your peripheral vision is in black and white with blind spots. But your brain creates this reality where it sees everything upright and in colour without the blind spots. It's not reality, but you've convinced yourself it is. Every person has their own beliefs whether it's religious, luck, a political view, that today will be good or bad, etc etc. It's all hypnosis. It's all creating beliefs and meanings out of things that don't necessarily have meanings. You are always in a state of some sort of hypnotic spell. The stuff he is doing looks rather dynamic and fun (and it is!) but hypnosis only works because it's a natural state.
@automemories30515 жыл бұрын
it doesn't work like that. Hypnotism works within proximity.
@SuperiorityQomplex5 жыл бұрын
@@automemories3051 Na, you can hypnotize over the phone, skype, youtube, movies, stories, whatevs. It's just about changing a belief in someone. There is a lot of flash for the in person stuff, but it's not necessary.

Having been hypnotised trying to play a trick on my son in law, I can tell you that I didn’t feel anything, happy nor angry. I just felt relaxed and everything the hypnotist said to me seemed be just normal The weird thing is that I can remember what I did but as I was doing it, it seemed the most natural thing to do I couldn’t remember the number 7, I was a translator for an alien who had landed on earth (one of the other people hypnotised) to the point that I told this alien to slow down they were talking while I was translating. I now think that in this ‘relaxed’ state of mind, we are capable of doing things because our cluttered mind is paralysed to what has been experienced. It could be anyone, even yourself that can influence what you do next. If you really are against something then you will not stay in this relaxed state of mind therefore you won’t do it.

How were you able to get yourself into this “relaxed” state where you can influence what you do next?

For everyone that says "shes playing along" that's kind of the entire point he was trying to make, you cant be hypnotized if you dont allow yourself to follow the hypnotist persuasion, essentially you're convincing yourself that it's okay to let go and not put up a wall..its all up to the person being hypnotized

If the girl was just playing along, then then the hypnosis phenomena simply did not happen, period. The point he was trying to make is what you should do when hypnosis don't work, and his hypnosis continued without working She played along quite well by pretending she forgot her own name, but If that guy tried to do some more complex phenomena like hallucinations, anesthesia, etc, she wouldn't be able to continue pretending it worked. That's the point
@wetlazer24434 жыл бұрын
Clark Hull from Yale University said "Anything that assumes trance, causes trance." Which means you can go after trance from either path. In other words you can bring about "Arm Lock" or "Eye Lock" or "Loss of Numbers" (AKA Hypnotic Phenomenon) through relaxation OR you can bring about relaxation (AKA Trance) through practicing eye lock ect. All paths lead to the same outcome, provided you have any level of confidence, skill and rapport with the client, subject or volunteer.

Actually everyone of us gets hypnotised every day. You are hypnotised when you're watching a movie and forget everything around you. You're getting hypnotised when you're listing to music or hear the news in the radio. It happens so often and we don't realise it. Maybe this helps you little bit. Hypnotising is no magic. Once you truly understand what Hypnosis actually is, it will become so much easier. Of course not every hypnotist works for you. The more often you do it, the easier it becomes. Don't try to force it. If you want it to much, than it won't work. Just focus, relax, listen and open up for the experience. You can learn it.
@xavierkreiss83943 жыл бұрын
You write: "not every hypnotist works for you. The more often you do it, the easier it becomes. Don't try to force it." (etc). THat's not what hypnotists say on KZbin. They just say "I'll hypnotise you". They don't say you have to work at it.

Ya some people are trying to fight others from controlling them. Whether it's pride, fear, or whatever else. You can always resist hypnosis if you want. Like McDonald's is trying to hypnotize you into eating BigMacs with every commercial. You can watch the commercials and ignore them or say to yourself you don't want that crap. But that said, we've also all had BigMacs in our lives too. In those weak moments where we hypnotized ourselves into justifying them for whatever reason. You can choose to accept a suggestion or you can refuse. But in this case, once he had better rapport with her, that is when she felt safe enough to allow it to happen.

If suggestions don't stick, it's not a fail. At a minimum, your goal is to make them feel safe, secure, and relaxed. If you accomplished all the above, then it was a complete success! Just because they aren't flailing their arms and doing wacky stuff or any other theatrics from your attempted suggestions; it doesn't mean the hypnosis was a failure. I've hypnotized people where no suggestions stuck, so I do a touch of hypnotherapy, and they come out of the hypnosis with a huge smile on their face. Simply telling them they will feel amazing and the happiest they've ever felt in a long time when they open their eyes is a subtle suggestion, but will have a profound impact on them, and people watching will see that and will believe it worked too. On another note, if they're been receptive, but tell you that they don't feel hypnotized...it's so much fun to give them suggestions, because they can't even believe what is happening to their mind. This usually happens when they are much more "consciously" aware of their own subconscious.

I just wish I could meet Mr Pincince: I can't be hyponotized. Some have tried to hypnotize me but with no result. I can't relax enough. I can't focus enough, pehaps. But that means it can'"t be done.

I feel like you can only actually know if hypnotism is real if you experience it for yourself

In my experience, some people say they want to be hypnotized but they're actually afraid of the unknown or they don't trust the hypnotist because they just met him or they try too hard instead of simply relaxing. He's very good at what he does but what you don't see are the 20 people in a row that claim they don't want anything to do with hypnosis, claiming it's witchcraft, voodoo or mind control. So he chooses young people because they're more open-minded. Personally, I ask them to imagine what it would be like to completely relax every muscle in their body and to allow their mind to just drift off into that gray area behind their eyelids as their imagination is activated and they drift off into their dream world, their fantasy world. And as for forgetting their name, I tell them to imagine what it would be like to have their name written on a whiteboard and then to pick up a cloth and to slowly erase the name in a small circular motion and they'll notice that as they erase the name, that the name will be completely erased from the memory, then as they slowly open their eyes that memory will be completely gone. The majority of hypnotists on the street, the beach and in parks use three techniques first called the magnetic fingers, second called the magnetic palms and the third is called the handshake induction which I call the magnetic hand to forehead. Each technique is the first step then the second step then the final step to slowly helping them enter hypnosis. Zach however, has a very fast way but only for very young people who are very open-minded. The other three techniques are for anyone older and more apprehensive. Keep an eye on his videos because he hardly works with anybody over 32. But he's still very very good and more entertaining than most hypnotists out there on KZbin.

very interesting, so far the books ive read, say to move on, when someone doesnt want to forget their names, they wont, to move on to a different suggestion, and that continueing to fail, will cause disbelief, and be incredilous as to your skills ... thats why i like this video so much, it explains how to go around the objections, i figure that when they finally forget their names, thats all the assurance they'll need to believe in your skill of hypnosis ( sugestion). how about making more videos like this one? what would you say when their eyes wont stay shut? or feet wont stick to the ground?

This is exactly what hypnotism is. Yes, people will quack like a duck and forget their name but only because they're allowing themselves to play along..exactly like he said. Why do you think "hypnotists" always choose people who are "open" to it? It's just a way of saying 'are you willing to play along?' This girl wanted it to be REAL, so she told the truth and spoke her name each time until he made it all about her "not letting herself" and ramped up the pressure to "prove to herself" she could forget her name. I find it all too weird (and a little sad) myself, like "heaven" and "magic" we WANT it to be real, and in some folks minds, that's enough to make it real.

Still won't work on me NO MATTER WHAT. I really want it to work for me to help with a painful disease I developed after a bad A.L.I.F. fusion back surgery I had two years ago. Sadly its not free, so continuing to try is getting pricey! This is super cool tho, and I won't loose hope that it might help me one day.

It would be funny to see you hypnotize someone to give you their phone password and make them give you their phone then make them have a crush on a random person you found a photo of on gooogle and make them say something stupid like 'OH CHICKENS!' when they see someoen they have a crush on (which should be the person you found a photo of on google)! I am subbed to you and have 'all notifications' on! Love the vids Zach! Keep up the good work!

Antti Kivivalli doing it with his mind?
@AnttiKivivalli4 жыл бұрын
@@randomhuman3525 Yes. We don't interact only physically (speech, gestures, touch, smells etc.) but directly on the mental level and hypnosis is about having an effect on the mind directly. Surely they also use the physical, including touch.

It’s interesting how you gave her permission to relax and gave her permission to control her own mind while you were tempted to suggest she lost her name really really interesting concept
