Having a row of fans directly under the GPU just makes a lot of sense. Having a solid panel right under the GPU just chokes it of air
@Oozaru854 ай бұрын
Thats why the basements in regular cases have ventilation holes in them, so you can mount fans on there and provide air for the GPU.
@What_In_This_World4 ай бұрын
@@Oozaru85 and in most basement compartments, those holes are partially blocked by a PSU and PSU cables…what would be sweet, is if a case manufacturer that also happens to be a PSU manufacturer, came out with a dual chamber case that came with a preinstalled, modular, 1000watt Flex ATX PSU, granted it would have to be xtra long and a custom design, but you could make a dual chamber case that’s capable of handling a Noctua. NH-D15, that’s under 10inches wide. The PSU would be shaped like a power strip however, but with proper placement of the modular connectors, CPU towards the top, followed by 24-pin, followed by your PCI-e and finally Sata connections, you could fancy yourself the best of both worlds…but someone would have to be brave and willing to take a chance…

My only beef with fishtanks is the loss if the front fans, but if you are liquid cooling then that doesnt really matter. Most dual chamber cases are not too wide. A lot of them are taller than they are wider, being around the height of a typical mid-tower, or perhaps slightly taller. If anything I’d like to see more ATX and E-ATX dual-chambered cases that are proportional in shape like the ones for smaller motherboards, which tend to be more symmetrical and cube-shape than their larger form factor counterparts. These dual-chamber case designs can be surprisingly practical. They help with airflow by moving components like the PSU to the side compartment and clear more space for additional intake fans, which isn’t always possible with a standard single-chamber tower design. Also for those who prefer vertically mounted GPUs or like using vertically mounted PCI fan bracket mounts, these dual-chambered cases often have recessed mainboard mounting trays, meaning that those fans aren't pressed right up against the side panel, and actually have room to draw air in from. In my personal case, I have two 120mm fans vertically mounted using a pci bracket mount, and I have almost 2 inches of space between them and the side panel. I’ve seen other peoples’ cases with vertically mounted fans right up against the panel, and those fans are struggling to do anything useful.

I personally think the Nzxt h6 flow solves the issue of that 2nd chamber looking like shit because of those angled fans, it makes the second chamber look a little bit more like it’s supposed to be there

The best design that fits my needs.

I'm thinking of getting a dual chamber just so I can flex on my new girl when she comes over. I love explaining each part with maximum confidence as it glows with RGB. Spent the last 6 years slowly upgrading my PC.

I like the wideness tbh. It makes me fell safe that it wont fall over and looks cleaner imo

He has a point on the whole too wide thing, but that other statement about them all looking the same, I also feel is kinda correct. Everywhere I see fish tank pc builds and it all feels the same, that's why I can't help but love weirdly different cases like small form factor case
