Seeing the giraffes come to feed moved me to tears. The Birds movie story. My mother took me and my siblings to see the movie at a drive-in when we were 6, 5 and 4. She thought it was a nature movie. It was the uncensored version. Well, I had nightmares afterwards. Monkeys seem to be our nuisance version of squirrels here in Georgia

Oh Ann! My mother took me and my friend Kim Jones (I’ve never forgotten her) to see Alfred Hitchcock’s Frenzy and Play Misty For Me with Clint Eastwood when I was in 6th grade. It was a double feature. My mother was horrified but we stayed for both and I had to sleep on the floor of my parent’s bedroom because I was so terrified. My mother felt so badly that she called Kim’s mother to apologize. But Kim’s mother said, oh not at all! Kim loved it so much we went and saw them both again with her younger brother! 💕😂💕

@@ArianeZurcher212 Ok. One more story. I went to see Play Misty for me on a date. I’m 8 years older than you. My date was a man who escaped from Bulgaria as a border guard under Soviet rule. When Jessica Walters attacks with a knife he didn’t flinch. He had absolutely no reaction. I was trying to hide under my seat. That convinced me I didn’t want to pursue a relationship with him.

OK of all the extraordinary videos you've done THIS is my favorite! How amazingly close you are to the animals - what a trip of a lifetime! Thank you for bringing us such an intimate view of the giraffes, rhinos, boars, monkeys....all different characters and all beautiful, and the unimaginable idea that these huge rhinos that are so powerful-looking, so majestic, are almost GONE from this earth because of human destruction of the species...can you imagine that our children will never even see one? This are truly beautiful videos of an amazingly intimate, personal journey that you are allowing us to take "by your side." Thank you!

Aw, thank you so much Barbara. I’m so glad you’re enjoying these videos of mine. It was an incredible trip on so many levels and for so many reasons, and always bittersweet seeing intimately how humans, the only mammals on earth, capable of such mass destruction and yet also capable of so much beauty. ❤️

So appreciate you sharing these amazing videos. Incredible..heartbreaking about the rhinos. How cruel and heartless. How amazing to be so close to the wildlife. Thank you again for sharing your trip with us.

Thx Carolyn. The rhinos horn is prized in some cultures and as a result people will pay tens of thousands of dollars for one. It’s very sad. ❤️💕❤️

So sad about the hippos. Shocking you could get that close. The monkey business was hilarious, especially your conversation with them! That boar was the scariest though, I know those things can be dangerous! Your adventures were amazing!

Great video!!! Thanks so much. I am a big fan of Gorillas, giraffes, hippos, etc. But I do not like monkeys. However, the way you were talking with them reminds me of how I use to talk with my dog and cat; calm, and just like they are a person and understand. Funny. BTW that beautiful flower you showed at the end is called a Durante, bush/climber. They sell them at the nursery here in California. Thanks again.

Another wonderful video. I'm so glad to experience it through your eyes Ariane. It's a dream of mine to visit. Those beautiful rhinos protecting their young, and the peaceful gentleness of the giraffes and zebras with their beautiful markings, even the warthog was fascinating to see in its own environment. You can keep the monkeys though LOL

Those monkeys were so funny. They were constantly trying to figure out how they could sneak inside to grab the sugar bowl. Too funny. And my scolding them didn’t make a difference 😳💕😂💕

@@ArianeZurcher212 I honestly think you were fearless. I find them creepy haha. And am slightly scared as there was a terrorizing one that jumped on everyone when they landed at Phi Phi island in Thailand. He stole everyone’s glasses. I gave him a wide berth.
@ArianeZurcher2123 жыл бұрын
@@christinacreatesau I can see why you felt that way. I was also frightened of the monkeys I met in Thailand. They were much more aggressive than these in Africa.

Fantastic. Give me zebras and giraffes (and tigers) any day as their markings fascinate me. Still hate to see animal print fabrics on people or furniture for some strange reason though!😯 So sad when wild animals need so much protection from poachers. Being so close to the animals in the wild what a privilege. 😊

It is unfortunate that the Rhinos are being piached to extention. So many species have been loss to the the greed of man. I had no idea only 8 Rhinos left..I sincerely hope that they are protected.
@ArianeZurcher2123 жыл бұрын
Yes, it really is awful. Hopefully more tourism to these places will make people see that it is in their best interests to keep these animals from going extinct.
