Pokemon White is basically my early childhood made tangible, it was my first video game I ever played and is still to this day one of my favourite games of all time. Say what you will about gen 5 but to me it truly is the peak of Pokémon and is exactly what Pokémon should be.

As someone who’s first game was Red way back in the day, it’s always cool to hear of people’s memories of their first Pokémon game and what it meant to them. Gen 5 got me re-hooked after I missed out on Gen 2 & 3 and 4 I got back in but was not super into it. Gen 5 reeled me back in just earlier this year actually!

B&W definitely has the best story of all Pokemon games. Don’t @ me, but I’m gonna say it’s been the apex of the entire franchise, with such an emotional story, well designed characters, remarkable quotes and events and a very, very deep and emotional ending. This theme is everything I just said. I legit cried when I first finished Pokemon White and heard this theme, almost 10 years ago... and I’m a bit sad today, thinking that we will most likely never get anything similar from Gamefreak, especially considering their recent works. It’s a shame. But let’s just appreciate what we’re given, and be happy that it happened.

Gen 5 is the only pokemon game I really regard as a JRPG because of it's deep and compelling storyline, round characters, a hard mode, all Unova unique pokemon, and the best music in all pokemon. The others are just known to me as pokemon games, but gen 5 is something truly special. I'll never forget seeing N's face at the end fade and this theme start playing. Left me speechless.

I don't think any other Pokemon game will have as good of a soundtrack that gen 5 had. There are usually some tracks that I dislike in other games, like the DP victory road theme, the gen 8 gym battle theme, or the original dragon's den from Crystal. But I legitimately like every single gen 5 theme! Thanks for uploading the track separate from N's farewell. I love that part, but it's not something I can put on in the car due to lack of visibility from the tears. But now I can jam out on my way to Popeyes!

I honestly loved how B/W had this ending because the song makes more sense when B2W2 ends. Hilbert/Hilda are the true first hero while the second hero Rosa/Nate are what N made to give their Reshiram/Zekrom freedom. N never wanted to be the second hero. I hope they make B3W3 instead of remaking bw or b2w2. To finally make the true dragon instead of retelling us a story we already did. I know they wouldn't do this but if they had a connector for the 3ds to the switch for it that would be the other option on how memories mechanic would work like b2w2

I started over the game a few days ago and just ended it... It was really the best Pokemon game ! The focus on the lore and not the basic goal (aka becoming the Champion). N, the best antagonist ever. The legendary Pokemon who FEELS like a legendary Pokemon ! You have to be worthy in order to stand by their side. Moreover, even after 8 years, the game is still a bit difficult. Not like the next generations... ... what happened to the next games. Black/White and Black2/White2 are incredible. What the hell happened to the lore afterwards ??? I really hope that Legends Arceus will bring back the goosebumps like gen 5 did.

It's already 2021 where I live and I decided a while ago to listen to this ending as my first 2021 song: I don't know, it just fits it perfectly, I lost many loved ones and separated from many. This theme makes me feel like even though this has been a tough year, with its ups and downs, it's not over yet, I still have many things to look forward to, still many stuff to discover and enjoy, yes there will be bad times, but they're all apart of my journey, they're all gonna help me become a stronger, shape my personality. God this is sooooo freaking epic, I love gen 5s music it's sooooo damn good. People will never truly understand just how amazing gen 5 truly was. Sure some of the Pokémon were goofy and weird looking but every gen has those. The music in gen 5 is still top tier and has remained in the top position for the last 11 to 12 years. People say it's a hand holdy game which I don't see. In terms of hand holdy games scarlet and violet keep you on the teets of the local miltanks for most of the game. Phone calls every 15 mins annoying cutscenes that are irrelevant for the most part. Like let's be real Pokémon now is falling short of what Pokémon was back than and I'm not the only who sees this trend.

This song has all my heart. This was a gorgeous piece and I even wanted to use it for the Year 12 final assembly when we planned it in year 11 for the year 12s before us. Unfortunately we didn't, because I had so many weird ideas in high school by that point, so c'est la vie. I want this remaster to play when I graduate uni, though. Or even when I go to Italy!
