One of the core things you have to remember about him is his narcissism He never approached a girl He wanted a girl to approach him His brother also wanted to help him but he decided to put his time in PUA lessons The Manifesto is inspired by his diary which got later leaked

Not to quibble too much, but (1) his brother was a little boy not yet interested in girls at the time Elliot Rodger committed murder, attempted murder, and then suicide. (2) He was NOT taking PUA lessons, but rather venting on a website that debunked and hated PUAs.

Zara, I think this might be your best video thus far! I had seen this case covered so many times that I wasn't sure if I wanted to sit through it again. I decided to go for it since I always watch your videos & I am glad that I did. You managed to take a case that has been covered extensively in the true crime community & main stream media and tell it in a way that I've never heard it told before. Most other true crime creators have said in their videos covering this case that they either didn't read the manifesto at all or couldn't make it very far into it. The fact that you read the entire thing & used it as a partial foundation for your video truly added so much to this case that I hadn't heard before. It also provided more background & context for his life, his family, & what shaped his warped perpsectives. None of it excuses his thoughts or actions, but it adds more substance to the case that I hadn't realized was missing from other videos until now. Thank you for putting in the extra time & effort that consistently make your videos stand out in the world of true crime media.

Also, yes, his father paying for his university was VERY generous. Especially at that school. In America a four year degree can cost anywhere in the mid to high six figure range. Especially at UC Santa Barbra. And the housing he was in was extremely costly, since he was too good to live in the dorms.

Spoiled kid, but neglected by his parents nonetheless. And he actually went to Santa Barbara City College, a junior college near the UC, but obviously much less costly and much less prestigious. The Community College system in California actually is a pretty good way to do the first 2 years of undergraduate study.

ER was the poster child for not understanding how social cues work. Not only that, one of the biggest issues with him, was that he just assumed that he was ENTITLED to EVERYTHING. He had delusions of grandeur. Him always wondering & saying, "Well how come a pretty girl won't be with me?" Blah, blah, blah.. while also never once putting in any effort to approach or speak to a single girl. He just assumed that he was "so good looking & that he was, in his eyes, "the supreme gentleman", that girls should AUTOMATICALLY be attracted to him, & approach him. That's not how the real world works. & he needed alot more help than whatever "help" he was recieving at that time. Editing in to say: another thing too that I believe ER was so stuck on at such a young age was supposedly these young boys saying that they're having sex. At like the ages of 13, & up. He was so not understanding of how young kids are & how they can "act", meaning...most of the kids that were saying they're having sex at that age, were more than likely lying, or making it up, just to sound cool. & he was believing them at their word. That is a huge sign of not understanding social cues. I'm sure most of those boys friends would call them out, & say things to them like, "Oh you're lying. You're not having sex." But ER just seeing these boys having girlfriends, he believed it & saying those things made him extremely angry. Not thinking for one second that there's a possibility that they could be lying. This runs so so deep.

Yes. No sympathy for this entitled, delusional, murderer. Even hearing "he could've had a career as a writer" had me gag. He had no thoughts in his head other than "what situation works for me? why isn't this situation working for me? I will end the situation."

I feel like there is A LOT more to the Morocco story than Elliot tells. Really his whole manifesto is like %1 of the story, he tells what he feels makes him look best and gains him the most sympathy. Clearly his Dads GF saw right through him and he most likely he had done a mountain of messed up shit to get her to the point that she wouldn’t even allow him in the home. Also I don’t believe he was actually bullied on the street, or nearly as harshly as he claims in general. Like I said, he tells the story in a way he believes will gain him the most sympathy.

Little sicko probably got caught watching them have sex or something. He did mention something like that in his manifesto, BUT he didn't say he enjoyed it He said it made him "feel sick" . Therapy can't change reality. If you want to have sex with beautiful women without paying them, you need to be athletic, tall, healthy, with a well-endowed body and big d**k. This works for the opposite sex also. Ever wonder why women who talk about sex and sexual techniques on KZbin usually have pretty or at least decent face, sexy well-endowed body and big chest?

We all know there is more to the story, but I especially believe there is more to what happened in Morocco. To the point that I would not be shocked if he had violent tendencies/outbursts that the stepmother noticed/feared. Until he turned 18, she had to tolerate it. Once he was 18, she could protect herself and the other kids in the household.

That said, forcing Elliot to go to Morocco, without his biological dad, with a stepmom he really never liked, was the STUPIDEST decision by his parents ever. What they SHOULD have forced Elliot to do was to go work a real teenage job and earn his own spending cash.

There is a case going on in Idaho USA right now with a guy named Bryan Kohberger, who "allegedly" murdered 4 college students in their on campus home. This guy studied criminology and was trying to be a police officer (got denied) and it is believed he would go on Redit boards under the alias "Papa Rodgers" (as kind of a tribute to this guy Elliott) He would go online and say things that police never released "suggesting" he knew the criminal mind so much that 'The killer would do this' or 'Why wouldn't the killer do that?' Police have confiscated over 52 terabytes of data from his computer and electronics and won't tell the public exactly what they are looking for. If you haven't heard the case you should really check it out. He is "scheduled" to go to court in October but his lawyer is trying to delay as much as possible.

Autism untreated can result in mental health conditions arising due to lack of treatment. I didn’t get my dx until my mid 20s. If I’d found out way sooner I don’t think I’d have such severe CPTSD, issues with substances (I’m a recovering m*th addict, was a result of trauma & self medicating ADHD along with autistic burnout). A lot of the situations that happened to cause my CPTSD, Dissociative issues & the other mental health issues were as a result of me not being able to understand social cues & being assaulted &/or abused in other ways. If I’d known earlier I feel like my life would have been A LOT different but my parents didn’t give me the attention I needed & they didn’t ‘believe in autism/ADHD or mental illness unfortunately & I had to find my own way which was ROUGHH. If he was autistic I can understand how he could become so obsessive because I have met others who are & experience fixations that aren’t healthy. It’s awful his was this.

I was thinking he could be neurodivergent for the severe "not understanding social cues" issue. This guy is basically living in delulu, like "oh I don't understand why no one wants to date me, but I'll still make no efforts whatsoever because my mere existence SHOULD make me entitled to be in a relationship because I'm wealthy" 😒 I'm sure if he wasn't so self centered, entitled, narcissistic and wasn't such a douchebag acting like he's the center of the universe, he could have gotten plenty of girlfriends because he was kinda handsome ... but that's basically his ENTIRE personality, and it's what drew girls away from him, not his looks Also it's very sad that a lot of people, especially younger people and teens just like him (no compassion for what he did because of it however, I'm not defending him) think that your value depends on whether you're dating or not, and that this way of thinking create incels who take their anger out on women, hate them, even hurt them, or worse like it did here in this case

@@corning1 I’m afraid your sadly mistaken. If your happiness and self worth is dependent on a woman then that is a miserable existence and a woman won’t make you any happier because you’ll be terrified of her leaving and you’ll choke away the relationship. Elliot would have drove a woman insane because of his deep emotional wounds a woman cannot fix that I know because I myself experienced the same emotions as he did and a similar childhood. The woman will also have absolute power over you and could mentally destroy you at any moment. Society has created this lie and it’s caused so many men to freaking go insane you don’t need a woman to be happy. A woman is only supposed to the cherry on top not the whole cake. If you continue to live like you’ll never be happy and you won’t be able to properly function in a relationship with a woman. @@JJJJ-he8bz I don’t think you’ve been paying attention to society for the last 15 years or you wouldn’t take the stance you are. I’m 36 and the womens movement started when I was still a lib in college. I started paying taxes and growing up and I saw what was going on. I agree with your overall premise. Another human being shouldn’t complete you. But I also think you are being closed minded if you think love and having a family is somehow overrated. You see where we are at now. I also grew up in the new atheist movement, and moved around my belief systems there. I have never, never seen so called atheists as shook up and nervous as they are now. They are sending their children to Christian schools, they are starting to see the need for religion and God. From my viewpoint. It’s incredible to behold. I’m not sure how old you are but there is a very clear aim here. And it’s very dark. Have you paid attention to Disney? That says it all right now. We are walking into the age of ai. You should be worried. I am. There is a reason they have demonized motherhood in our society, pushed the patriarchy. And it isn’t for equality lol. I’m a coward for not fighting back and I probably sound like some insane conspiracy theorist, but this… is a very dark scary road we are heading down. The start is a severe decline in birth rates, simple google search will show you gen z and how they identify with the alphabet people. The generation after them is fighting back, I’m just not sure we can win this war. The times of the 1950’s and good happy Christian families are gone. The nuclear family is nearly gone. You’ve seen what it is being replaced with, some monstrosity the left has created that is truly demonic. I have unplugged from nearly everything. I feel better. I feel so bad for these young men going forward. They don’t stand a chance.

A person who is all consumed with how things effect themselves...and only themselves....big problem. I dont think things (like videogames) are dangerous, how can they be? That's giving an object waaaayyy too much credit. It's the people that are dangerous. When they can't handle anything, anything can become a problem for those personality types. Okay, the police normally super sick and they could have at least put like a tail on him BUT when they did the welfare check they did everything they were allowed to do, they didn’t have a search warrant and since he answered the door they have zero right to enter unless he says it’s okay. They aren’t going to arrest him for a couple videos. But they could have at least watched him for a hot sec

I had the misfortune of living with someone just like that once. He was my friend's boyfriend and I lived with them in an apartment. He refused to get a job because he just didn't want to work. He would play video games for 12hrs, with the sound system blasting at 4am, knowing that we had to work in the morning. Never cleaned up after himself. He wouldn't even get up to go to the bathroom, he'd piss in bottles. Absolutely disgusting. And he would mooch off of her financially and treat her badly. I'm so glad that he's your ex now and you're no longer dealing with that. It must feel like such a weight off of your shoulders

Demonstrates the importance of a mans looks. Girls will tolerate a man acting like a subhuman and gaming 18 hours a day when he’s attractive (betting this ex looks like Magic Mike) but when the 5f9 breadwinner and homemaker husband puts too much milk in his coffee he gets beaten.

@HankWilliams-kp3io wow, projecting much? Naw, man, I guarantee you 1) no way these guys look like Magic Mike, esp w/that lifestyle 😄 2) I'm betting they were more in love w/the *potential* the guy had. Like, if they only applied themselves, which they probably did in the beginning. So false hope & not wanting to give up on them. It'll get you every time

I have posted my thoughts on this awhile back on another channel so I will repost it here: I come back to listening to this again, though when I listened to it the first time I had no comments yet as I was thinking about what I want to say. (I was listening to an Audiobook at the time it was on KZbin before it got taken down.) Sure you might not agree with what I am about to say. While listening to this (The KZbin Audio Book) I know there may have been some red flags. Firstly let's start with the Parents, I do think the Step-mum was doing the right thing in some ways putting him in place stepping up as a Parent while his Mum and dad were just giving in to his Tantrums etc, if they had seen what was going on with Elliot they should have got him more help, Not send him to Santa Barbara etc. They really should have been there for him and help him but guiding him through life rather than just giving in. (Again no need to agree on this if you don't agree it's fine). I might be wrong on this, But there was one point in the story when Elliot went over to his Dad's place to grab a drink, he went in without knocking, his step-mum was shocked to see him that she kicked him out, To be honest she had the right to do that as it was her house and no he did not knock first if he had of just done that instead of acting like an ass he would have been allowed to have a drink of water, he had INVITED Himself in without knocking. You don't go into your Parents house (If not living with them) and let yourself in UNLESS they say it's ok to do so or INVITED you over. Again that's just what I think you don't need to agree with this, I could be wrong in saying that. (Just my Opinion) His Friends- I don't blame his friends walking away from him, as they could see him change over time. Including James, it's not nice to lose a friend but I don't blame James for drifting away from Elliot, I hope James is doing well. Elliot's Social life/GF- He keeps claiming that he was rejected. Um no sorry how can you be REJECT when hadn't gone up to people and talk to them. There was times he could have fit in, or well try and approach people talk to them, not try to be cool try and copy people such as Skateboarding which of course could have been turned into a hobby. Playing games with his friends he could have kept doing, or maybe asked if he could have met up with James and his other 2 friends to play instead of some silly revenge. As for girls, there was times he could have gone up to a girl and talked to her, they weren't going to come up to him, he expected them to come up to him and he would lose his V-Card. Nope it don't work that way, You got to start with talking to them first which will build into a friendship and then a Relationship! NO GIRL REJECTED HIM because he never went up to them. It works Both ways. My Final thoughts: While listening to this, I couldn't help but think if Elliot ended up with a GF it still would have ended badly, because as he was jealous watching a girl talking to a guy, he would throw drinks at couples which I find silly, So if Elliot was to get a GF, he would have been jealous if his GF had male friends, he would have made her cut ties, he would have been controlling, if she was to leave he would have threaten them to hurt them or end his life. Lastly. RIP to those 6 victims that lost their lives. Thanks for reading

We say their names in every other circumstance why not this. It only shines more of a light on this scum of the earth. Hes the one who doesn't deserve his name uttered. Love you Zara just wanna let you know how i feel :)

His family put in his head that status means everything!! How else would he be so obsessed with it! And I hate his story! Please don’t tell people to read his writing because he doesn’t deserve the notoriety! That’s what he wanted! He was a loser who thought he deserved pussy for no reason other than everyone else was getting some. His family fail honestly, growing up and at such a young age thinking you had to have materials to be cool was his family’s doing. They taught him this! I hope no one reads his stuff and I hope no one watches this video even though I freaking love you and love your channel! But this guy gets on my nerves! I wish crime channels would stop talking about him!
