I had a tough time figuring out how to do this no matter how many videos I watched, so here's my video attempting to tell you what I wish I'd been told.

The Move Topological brush also helps in moving separate polygroups or areas where there are gaps in topology like lips without having to mask.

Can you tell me how I find the setting that makes a new IMM primitive into a different polygroup color automatically? I just cannot find it anywhere I look on the internet and the way you don't explain it seems like it's so straightforward
@CraigPerko Жыл бұрын
So, the polygroup colors are automatic. If you turn "polygroup view" on, it shows each polygroup as its own color. You probably don't have "view pologroups" toggled on. (It may also be called "show" or "visualize" polygroups.)

This was good. Really helped me get more control of isolating objects. Is it possible to delete objects or do you have to undo?
@CraigPerko3 жыл бұрын
You can absolutely delete objects. If you're doing it like the video, there is an option on the menu to "delete masked" or "delete unmasked", that'll do the trick.
@PrescottLawani3 жыл бұрын
@@CraigPerko Here's a silly question: which menu are we talking about?
@CraigPerko3 жыл бұрын
@@PrescottLawani Hm. There's "del hidden" under "geometry->modify topology". I remember other options, but I can't remember where they were.
@PrescottLawani3 жыл бұрын

how you check the proportions how you know that the proportions are right and accurate can you explain ?
@CraigPerko2 жыл бұрын
I can't tell you how to "check" proportions, because that's part of your character design. However, there are tools to overlay images, if you have character art you're using as a baseline.
@seanchoy2362 жыл бұрын
One thing that bugs me is some characters don't have a complete model sheet(front, side, back view) even then it's either in a pose or an angled view. How would I go about blocking out in these cases? I also have trouble marking the distances between each part, does it have to be exact or approximately there?
@CraigPerko2 жыл бұрын
I think you'll just have to approximate.
@agastyapatel91954 жыл бұрын
hey can you tell me how should i go for dynamesh after blocking? btw your i loved your video;)
@CraigPerko4 жыл бұрын
Well, basically you just turn it back on and, any time you want to trigger it, control-draw a little box in the background. You should be able to find tuts specifically about that if you search.
@agastyapatel91954 жыл бұрын
Thanx buddy:)

I am very beginner. Is there any documentation for beginners.
@CraigPerko2 жыл бұрын
There are a lot of ZBrush beginner tutorials, but as usual for industry standard tools, the documentation itself is crappy.
@svetlinx3 жыл бұрын
hello any reason why switching between masked objects when holding the ctrl+click does nothing? it only masks / unmasks the same object, while the other stays uneditable. HELP!
@CraigPerko3 жыл бұрын
To invert the mask, you need to control-click the background, where there's no objects.
@svetlinx3 жыл бұрын
@@CraigPerko still no luck, it only deselects the same object and i can't do anything to the other one, as if it is locked
@CraigPerko3 жыл бұрын
@@svetlinx Are they different subtools? It all has to be one subtool.
@svetlinx3 жыл бұрын
@@CraigPerko i think it is the same, but then i am a total beginner and only opening zbrush for the third time. it only just worked when i copied the initial sphere - but not when i make new spheres from scratch. thanks though!, very helpful tutorial!

how to that diff color on object?
@CraigPerko3 жыл бұрын
That's polygroups. Watch the video again, you'll see which buttons I click.

Thanks you for the reply, i did that but my mesh still using the matcap gray, and when i input brush a circle, that circle will be a different color. Sorry for my English.
@CraigPerko3 жыл бұрын
@@BarPBarPkoyanee A paint brush will change the object's actual color. Change your brush to "paint" to paint colors. The polygroup coloration is something for organizing parts, not for final painting.
