Question. When you use polypaint in this manner, can you then bake a texture map with this detailing and export it?

If the geo has UV, you can export color as texture map.

Okay, shutting down ZBrush and restarting it seems to have fixed it. It seems that one needs to understand that Z toggles spotlight while SHIFT+Z toggles PROJECTION in spotlight....those are two different things.

Even with high poly count, I never have the model paint looking like the photo. I'll stick to old school textures.
