Me too. So nice to hear intelligent, rational discourse that doesn’t stray into divisive, toxic politics like everything does these days. For the first time, I think I can honestly say that the level of divisiveness in politics has risen to a level that’s killing people and destroying lives, and it’s such a shame. All so that incumbent politicians can hold on to their power. I’d like to see every politician who screws around with facts & science for political reasons tried for treason or sedition. Then gaslighting anyone who calls them on their garbage on top of it is just insane. I’m not a “Trump supporter” nor am I a conservative, nor a Republican. I’m just a regular tax-paying American who abhors politics and researches the issues in-depth. The fact that nearly every institution from science to academia to government has betrayed & destroyed the faith & trust Americans have put in them is disgusting. Everything has turned political _during a pandemic_ because it’s an election year. It’s very obvious to anyone paying attention and not simply ingesting what the news is telling us. So glad to have people like this, making videos that discusses the “taboo” topics, and it’s sickening that any of this is taboo or controversial to begin with.

@@brittanypape314 The challenge is those in the nursing homes. Staff doesn't live in a bubble, they have to shop etc too. So if they get exposed they can unknowingly bring in the virus. Most staff is exhausted from the lockdown since March (no visitors means no family and family can help ALOT) so it's not like they are out partying either. But they also live with spouses, children etc. Even with masking guidelines sooner or later nearly every nursing home is going to have a case in either employee/resident or both. I work with 7 different Nursing home/assisted livings-only 2 assisted living have escaped any cases at all-so far. My nursing homes started getting cases in June. Only one really had it go through pretty bad (it's also my largest one, and has assisted living directly connected to long term care side). They have been testing but until VERY recently turn around times on test results was 5-7 days-pretty worthless if trying to prevent spread. Of course they did the security theater of health questions/temp checks (those are truly worthless). All have been wearing masks since March in the facility. I am at a loss as to what could have been done better-other than rapid testing available much much much sooner-that might have made a difference :) And even independent older vulnerable population are now getting so depressed and therefor frail and falling and leading to MORE hospitalization that they are now at risk too. Have had many admits for just this reason in past two weeks.

@@brittanypape314 My daughter, who lives with us, worked in a nursing home all during the peak period of the covid wave, and there were no precautions to speak of there for many weeks. No masks on staff, no temperature checks, no covid tests, nothing. She wasn't checked for covid-19 until mid-June, by which time covid here was all but over. My wife is a nurse on the covid floor of a hospital, so there was a direct path through our house to carry covid-19 into the nursing home, and therefore we made our daughter wear a N95 mask to work. But there was no state or local requirement to do so. Miraculously no one died of covid-19 at her nursing home, but that wasn't due to any public health preventive measures, just luck and personal responsibility.

It was refreshing to hear you discussing the nature of science. Today, we are scolded and vilified if we don't "listen to THE science." Science in its truest form is always questioning, skeptical of pat answers, and refining and correcting itself, treating every conclusion as the possible topic of further research, "THE science," by contrast, is smug, self-satisfied, and cynically rejects any idea that questions its "settled science" (read "foregone conclusions"). For example, at one point Dr. Bhattacharya at one point said, "My agenda was to find the number. I THINK we now know it."

I am a strong introvert, and AA was the only thing I had left really for any regular sociality--this is the worst thing that has happened to AA since the 40s, and I've no question that if this cult agenda tyranny doesn't stop soon, there is no future for any of us.

Alex Bateman And yes, treatments have dramatically improved since this began when we didn’t know what we were dealing with. Of course they would. We’ve made terrific progress in finding medications & treatment plans that work quite well, especially if caught early on. That is well-established with immense bodies of evidence from all over the world. I don’t know who you think the “target population” is, but the vast majority of people who died _strictly from_ COVID-19 (and not from something else merely with COVID-19 present) would have died within the year or two from a good strong cold or nearly any illness, and a large portion of those were past average life expectancy for their demographic already. These were medically fragile people who would have fared poorly from just about anything sent their way. You’ve got to keep things in perspective here. There are countless things far more dangerous than COVID-19 that we live with every day, that don’t cause people to flip out and lock themselves in their homes for months on end. Pandemics have always been with us as humans, to one degree or another. This is nothing new, and this one was fortunately much less dangerous than we thought. Be grateful, and let’s move on, protecting those who need it but otherwise keeping life moving.

Wanting to have as much knowledge about what I'm being injected with and wanting to not possibly experience adverse effects is a reasonable thing to me. However, this causes people to conclude I'm a right-wing conspiracy theorist nutcase. I am pro lockdowns... if done methodically, holistically, and addresses the adverse effects of lockdowns themselves with the end goal of minimizing the death rate from covid, lockdowns, and suffering. Every action we take has trade offs that need to be accounted for. Again, that makes me a right-wing conspiracy theorist nutcase.

This is something most clinicians knew in "their gut" all along. Now we have a study to prove it. Unfortunately for all nurses and doctors, the public trust in us has been completely eroded by political gamesmanship. There are nurses who have MBAs who understand the economics of healthcare - watch the bias of degreed superiority - really smart people are everywhere - not just the bay area and Stanford. Ain't nobody stupid - just blindsided by strategic marketing.

I've felt that society has acted that way since March, until late July when my wife was hospitalized 6 days for bike accident and saw how compassionate and caring the healthcare workers at the hospital treated her. Thank you for hosting this honest conversation. I've been disturbed by the lack of conversation in the media about the very real public health cost to lockdowns. Job losses, mental health issues, lack of socialization, diseases of despair are public health issues too. I left NYC a couple of months ago, and it was heartbreaking to see so many beloved small businesses in my community close. Meanwhile, Amazon profits have doubled. We are seeing an enormous transfer of wealth and power during this, which (surprise, surprise) the media doesn't focus on. Many corporations are doing quite well while small businesses close every day. That is going to have an impact even decades from now. More public health people need to think about these issues too.

I had surgery at Stanford in July. The media had me so freaked out my blood pressure was sky high and I never have high blood pressure. I’ve had this surgery 12 times prior so it wasn’t because I was having surgery. It was freaking out that I was going to a hospital in the middle of the pandemic. It was the unknown if am I going to catch it when I’m recovering from surgery. It was the fact I couldn’t have anyone come with me to the hospital. Not knowing what my husband was going to do for 2 hours while I was there, when everything was shut down. We had traveled 12 hours for the surgery, it’s not like he could come home. It was the unrest going on and worrying my husband might get caught up in it because he “took a wrong turn”. There was just A LOT going on in my head. I don’t generally have anxiety, I can’t imagine how people who deal with anxiety and depression daily are coping....

I am 74, retired, test positive for TB (my mother had it when I was an infant). I have never had the flu and never got the flu shot until they started coming into the office lobbies offering the shots and one of my coworkers went berserk when I said I I wasn't getting the flu shot. Had worked with people who dropped like flies all around me with the flu...never got it. To keep the hair straight on this woman's head, I went down and got the shot. My aunt is 91, in a nursing home, tested positive for Covid19, went into quarantine with another woman for 2 weeks, came out and went back to her normal routine. I took vitamins from childhood because my mother had TB and lost the use of one lung after spending 11 months in hospital and having 3 major surgeries to take her diseased lung down. She lived to be 86...had dementia in her last couple of years. I have lived with depression and anxiety since childhood. My mother was a very difficult woman to be around. I considered suicide in my early 20s but decided that was stupid thinking and moved on with life. Still had depression and anxiety. Always needed to rock, either back and forth when standing or walking in circles or taking a fast walk or jumping one leg up and down when sitting or, as a child, rocking back and forth in a chair or laying in bed rocking back and forth. Extremely difficult to stay still...although I'm extremely quiet naturally. Usually find a rocking chair and use it to work off stress. I consider myself to be a rational, calm human even under stressful situations. I usually fall apart much later after a crisis and always by myself. I've learned to live with it and don't think about it much. Covid19 lockdown took a toll on me. I don't like being told I can't do this or that or being "protected" because of my age...go peddle your papers and leave me the hell alone. Go! Be gone, twit." Been taking care of myself for decades, do not have dementia, alzheimers or any other disorder, am not sick and don't expect to be. Expect to meet my maker one of these days with all parts working...brain and body. 😇

thanks Patricia. anyone that is sane and has a stich of common sense left, would find it hard to even know where to begin with this ludicrous year of 2020. I have been through anxiety disorders myself, and being alcoholic of AA variety, AA was part of my healing for 30 years until eight months ago when in my town, they have closed meetings since and still are, because here they have all been in church buildings, where supposedly we can't have more than ten people at a time. it's the most tragic thing that has happened to AA since the 1940s when they had the war and other issues going on. it is a life and death program and this is something I never thought I would see. I only took a vaccine a number of times prior to 30 years ago, which was around when I had returned to AA, and met a number of people there that got me into holistic healing--I had gone through all that drug guinea pigging because of the mental/emotional problems. I have been through indescribable pain in sobriety and prior to it, and now I am facing what is clearly a form of fascism. heard of David Icke? he was banned from his You Tube channel back in March for supposedly spreading mis-information about 'covid'--no, it was because he knows more about the 'Bill Gates cult's' agenda than anyone on the outside of the 'Gov', and they got to afraid of him exposing their agenda. he has been trying to get through to people for 30 years that the world is run by a beyond psychotic and mega-rich cult that has no empathy for humans what-so-ever; it's how they have murdered countless people and think nothing of it. billions of people are presently obeying a handful of psychopaths by wearing masks they don't need, which are to dehumanise us further into their agenda--this is the same way the Nazi holocaust began. people need to stop being so bloody naïve. the people even in my town in N. Canada where we still have some of the cleanest air and water in the world, that are driving around still with windows up and masks on got to be under a spell and are. God bless.

I enjoyed and appreciated this interview right up until the comments on "anti-vaxxers." With all the discussion of bias, inaccurate information foisted off on the public, censorship, refusal to engage in reasonable dialogue, etc. -- I want to know ZDogg's sources for his statements that when COVID-19 arose, there wasn't a peep from anti-vaxxers; anti-vaxxers were terrified of COVID-19; and when a COVID-19 vaccine becomes available, anti-vaxxers will be first in line to get it. I'm on two Facebook groups that I'm sure ZDogg would consider "anti-vaxxer groups", one with 900 members and one with over 10,000 -- and I have seen *none* of these things that ZDogg claims. What I did see was immediate concern that the pandemic would be exploited to rush COVID-19 vaccines through inadequate testing and then to mandate them, and immediate concern that a mandate for COVID-19 vaccination for adults would be leveraged to push for adult mandates for a wide variety of vaccines. As soon as the virus was identified as a SARS-type virus, people shared information on the disastrous results of challenge testing in animals of the SARS CoV-1 vaccines. People shared their research on both mainstream and alternative medicine prophylaxis and treatment for COVID-19. There was lots of concern, but nobody was terrified. And *nobody* said "Well, this is one vaccine my family will go ahead and have." Instead, many people declared "There's no way I'll get this vaccine myself or allow it to be given to my children." So, ZDogg, let's hear your evidence for the statements you made about anti-vaxxers re: COVID-19 vaccines.

In fact, the opposite is true. Most anti-vaxxers are also educated, well-read and have an understanding of the V-a-x cocktails and the ingredients. People who are fearful lack the knowledge, usually, are indoctrinated psychologically, or have something to gain (pharm-perks, monies, etc.)

@Melissa Justice He may not be a paid shill, or he may be someone who is wholly invested in the time and effort that he put into getting his medical degree. Many doctors are invested in telling the mainstream narrative. It is a question of conscience, morals, and ethics. Some people can only stand behind what they can benefit from. I personally believe that there is more to life than the Earth-experience. I would not want to exit this life experience unless I gave my best to others, honestly, truthfully, and with integrity. The Hippocratic oath means nothing to most, it seems. The world is presently underscored by deceit. It is a separation of energy. Truth and dishonesty are opposite poles. "Everyone has an agenda." Dr. Jay is definitely more intelligent than Zubin ... but even he is working on false premises. GIGO. Garbage in, garbage out. SARS Cov2 has yet to satisfy the Koch Postulates. So whatever is testing positive cannot be traced to any one source ... whether that source is SARS Cov2 lab-engineered, the flu virus, the flu shot using attenuated flu virus from last year's flu season, goat swabs, papaya fruit swabs, the common cold coronavirus, etc. A positive test using a generic test cannot identify a specific virus, which then cannot establish a Covid-19 infection case. So what does 0.2% case fatality rate really mean? Neither of these two doctors, the expert (Jay) and the expletive (Zubin) ... are being scientific. The case fatality rate is being fully attributed to SARS Cov2. But there's a strong reason to suspect that most positive so-called Covid tests ... are the result of an influenza strain, after all, the Northern Hemisphere was transiting through flu season at the height of the testing. Which then has the potential to take the actual case fatality rate below 0.2% ... all the way down to even as low as 0% (statistically rounding off). In the end, both Jay and Zubin are engaging in a pseudoscientific discussion that sounds plausible, but cannot possibly be scientific in the absence of the Koch Postulates ... and the concomitant absence of a specificty test for Covid-19. I would love to hear some scientific, objective discussion about Dr M’s research and subsequent oppression professionally and personally as she described. Those are two very different, huge subjects that should be undertaken by people qualified and with resources AND effective protection possibly from some extremely powerful (even evil) groups. From a science and health care perspective there are few if any absolutes. For example, some surgeries performed in the 70s (radical mastectomy and neck/jaw/larynx dissections come to mind) were standard of care then yet would be malpractice today. Functional sinus surgery vs mucosal stripping to get rid of infection is another, later turn about. I have been humbled time and again learning some of my bold and heart felt, assertions were incorrect, misunderstood, misinformed or resulted from my oversimplification of cause and effect. Confidence is an attribute when tempered with an eagerness to learn from mistakes and new discoveries. That’s the “science” part that these gentlemen distilled into a digestible, incredibly informative context from a perspective of their training and expertise. The oppression of Dr M’s work and subsequent stated travesties of freedom and justice adds a dangerous level of factors that should be evaluated and verified in parallel to conversations where there’s so much evidence to suggest nefarious, hidden agendas of enormous magnitude. Conversations including this subject of covid. Irrational, or at least drastic, actions as we have seen in this case should raise questions. There are too many factors that are substantiated by declassified documents, historical discrepancies/misinformation and the immense destruction wrought by power and greed to be casually dismissed as “conspiracy theory” thus eliminating V and V. Science cannot in and of itself conquer censorship and suppression when human susceptibility to the machinations of power, greed and evil are likely in play. Ignoring or dismissing such factors in discussions where extreme measures, misinformation and confusion result in undeniable damage, loss of freedom and economic disaster is likely a major mistake. Its basically ignoring dense smoke without looking for a fire. The subject of censorship applies here as much as it does in this the Doctors’ discussion. That should be signal enough to mount a full on investigation. It must be ruled out conclusively. Freedom and justice are at stake.

I haven't read all the comments, so I apologize if I'm repeating someone else's comment. At about 27:30, the discussion turned to health care workers working at multiple elder care facilities. In my jurisdiction (British Columbia), we have made this illegal and are working on raising the wages of these workers (who work at several locations because the work is part-time and precarious), both in private and public settings.

At 1:06:00 LOL all libertarians. "We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force." ~ Ayn Rand

So refreshing to hear someone speaking rationally and with purpose. The discussion surrounding schools and the impact of closures hits home. Our daughter in Grade 10 moved to a new school this year and went in person at first, but with limited interaction allowed, masks covering up facial expressions, and the distancing measures lead her to want to do online. Now in a much tougher class online our normally honors student is struggling and not accepting help. Basically giving up on improving herself and is even more socially distant than before.

1:00:01 spot on. & it makes a joke to the vx's, doesnt matter how perfect thr are. & either way: no one reasonable - at that time - could have argued that was the right move. it still doesnt square. nor does the annual shots and variant bs. you think we lock down every yr for each popular var? ill bet thr is an annual flu shot, but we dont treat any of the rest like we do now. jump fwd a yr: it continues. the further in you go, the dirtier the data gets (likely uncleanable. and...str8 into the hx books as facts). and india today is impossible to interpret. & a fragile system hit w panic im not sure would look that different.

As I was dropping my 4 year old off at Preschool this morning he said to me "mommy, I don't want to get too close to you because I don't want you to get the virus and die" my heart broke! My 4 year old should not be afraid to hug his mommy! I am outraged at how our children are being told flat out lies!

Glad I had a chance to hear this today. The hysterical condemnation of nuanced views isn't new. Some thought this would stop at the soft sciences on campuses. Some have seen this coming for hard sciences a mile away. Still shocked at the scope and scale and willingness of society at large to not only go along but vilify rational thought. I dont think I'm being hyperbolic saying there seems to be a war on rational thought itself.

Yes, it’s as if the media & experts are gaslighting the entire populace. All we were told originally has been debunked or changed, and we are supposed to go along with every insane request, no matter how it goes against our common sense. Also, we are pitted against one another. Imagine a few years ago being shamed for wanting to breathe fresh air as if we were “killing grandma”.

I have finally gotten time to listen to the end of this video while on my way home from work (I listened to the beginning on my way to work this morning). The comments near the one hour mark... give or take a bit... about a photo of two (Hispanic?) children sitting outside the 7-11 or some such place using the WiFi reminded me of this article from last spring. It’s not just poor families that struggle with internet access, rural families, regardless of income, struggle with access as well. But if you mention that to big city team-apocalypse people, they come back with silly answers along the lines of “well, maybe they should just move”. As if that’s practical during a pandemic and while people were laid off of work. Give me a flipping break. www.startribune.com/covid-19-pandemic-highlights-broadband-divide-in-rural-minnesota/569541472/

In Ky my 6 year old grandchild is sooo sad and actually they got to go for 2 days.... she was extremely happy even though they were placed in what she called a “clear jail” to eat lunch and in class. They didn’t get recess but she said “we got to have mask break a few times and walk around the school outside” but they were social distanced and only a few kids at a time. No play time !!! It’s just unbelievable and so disheartening!!! The powers to be that are continuing this extreme fear mongering for whatever reasons.... be it political gain, monetary gain with immunizations and all other conspiracy theories out there that I used to think was crazy, should be extremely ashamed of themselves and know karma will get them !!
