Since I am watching this in the future, I felt I should send this message back to the past and warn you that the first villager is going to die in the water elevator, and then when the babies finally get out they swim to the middle of the lake to find their mummy. I hope you can manage to fix it before the video is released.

The babies are trying to get to the village and they'll want to stay there when they grow up. You could try putting some doors on the shore, then they might get out of the water to play with them. Also, I like your parasols, but you could also try the design using beds.

Here's the cause of the baby squid party in the middle of the lake: villagers will search for a village center within 64 blocks of their position. If they find one they try to path into the village. Since the village is 32 blocks under the center of the lake, the village itself includes the center of the surface of the lake. Any villagers on or near the lake are within 64 blocks of the center, so they think, "I'm not in a village. I'm a lovely villager. I need a village. Wait! There's a village! Run to it!" and they do their best to get inside the village, which means they swim to the center of the lake. Baby villagers have no attachment to their parents, so that has nothing to do with it. Probably your best solution is going to be to place doors around the lake with resident villagers to expand the village to cover the entire lake honk area.

The villagers are trying to get into the doors of the village. Move the breeder to be under the beach and they should gather there.

For the umbrellas, you could use colored beds placed around some sort of post in a 3x3 square (any other block in the center). They'll float if you first place them on blocks, then break the blocks.

Amazing video as always! This is a really awesome series! Congrats on 50 episodes! So excited to hear you will be visiting Tango again! The livestreams you did last time are some of my favorites and I go back and watch them everytime I need a laugh. I think those villagers will just keep swimming in the lake, because they can detect a village. So the secret in the middle of the lake may have to move down a few blocks. The Lighter-upper-er is a better love story than Twilight. Put a block between the comparator and the dropper and then you can run the clock signal to the dropper from the side.

With the carrot dropper system, you can have a block between the dropper and comparator, making it possible to easily send the comparators' signal into a bock next to the dropper.

Because there's a village in the middle of the lake, they will naturally want to go back there when they realise they've left the village. If you can make the village bigger somehow so that it can reach the land at the edge (more doors?) then that could make them less likely to go to the middle, though you may also just get lots of swimming villagers.

To do a carousel, you could have the pole being fences and then carpets on top but the carpets which are over air have string underneath them.

If I recall correctly, the reason your babies are going to the middle of the lake is because they're still in the sphere of the village (6 doors) you have down below. If you move it far enough down, the lake level *may* be high enough that it's out of range and the breeder isn't. You'd have to ask someone far better versed in village mechanics than I to get the exact measurements, though...don't suppose you know anyone who's known for doing high precision work with villages, do you? Tango. I'm talking about Tango.

I know this was a couple months back, but here are some ideas as I watch: If you put ice under the gaps between water streams, and possibly also one block before, then the babies should usually slide along to the next stream. Or you could, rather than making the stream cross a gap at all, make the stream go down one on the 8th block, so there's no gap and they keep going along. Looks like the latter is what you did. If the upward water tube is too long and they're taking drowning damage, you could split that and have them go over a block once or twice, catching a breath each time. Also, when the aquatic update comes, you might be able to use bubble columns to get around that issue entirely. I'm not sure about that because I'm not sure exactly how/where/when bubbles will work, though. Some zombies trapped in air bubbles under the water in the middle of the lake, where they can't be easily seen from the shore, could motivate the babies to go toward the shore. I'm not sure whether or not there needs to be line of sight between zombies and babies. Could be worth at least experimenting with. Putting at least one house (wooden door + roof block) on the shore should also cause any villagers in range to go to the house at night.

You can drop your villager water line down by one block every 8 blocks and get an unbroken flow and nobody will get stuck or have to wait for the next one to push them along.

Villagers tend to run towards the village centre, you need to make it so that the babies surface at a more distant location

In case there spawn mobs, you could build houses/buildings with doors for the villagers. So they can stay safe at night and not being slaughtered :). E.g. the area behind the rubber ring is quite dark...

i'm not 100% sure, but i think the babies are seeing all the parents as a village, and are trying to get to them. (or they see the village that enables the breeding)

A great way to make a partial is using beds to put them in a fashion that the white part touches the stock or stem what ever its callws

Awesome intro! Villagers aren't smart, but even babies can sense where the center of the village is and are obsessed with staying close to it... related to why they all try to cram into one house at night in a village. Congrats on not visiting Phoenix in the dog days of summer--maybe you can suggest a destination visit next time where you and Tango meet somewhere in the U.S. that is more interesting and go to restaurants that aren't giant chains. I'm not saying that Phoenix is the lamest American city but it's not not the lamest American city. ;)

About the clock for item dispensing: kick the clock back a block from the dispenser. Then place a block between dispenser and comparator (the comparator can read the dispenser through the block) and then you have enough space for a piece of redstone next to that block that can face into another block next to the dispenser. Just try it, you'll see what I mean. An idea for your sun umbrellas (I have no idea how it's called or what word you used for it :-D): use beds for it. I saw false use it once and it looked quite nice. Especially since we know have different bed colors. Also: why March? ;-( I didn't have a holiday for literally years and guess when my first holiday in years is... two weeks in March. I am probably missing most of it. :-/ Well, at least something I can look forward to when I come home :-) I expect to see all the livestream replays! :-P

Well, it's exactly 24 per baby, but it doesn't guarantee a baby every 24 as there is randomness in what villagers get the carrots.

You can sign, water, sign in your design because if the baby sits in the air block at the bottom then grows up it'll float up and if it gets stuck up the wall it won't drown because it won't be able to get up there in the first place.
