What the ending of Link Between Worlds tells me is that there are legit no restrictions for what you can wish for from the Triforce, like you can just wish for a second one. Or a thousand.
@Nicolas-lz6pg9 ай бұрын
Inthink the limitation is that the triforce cannot create another triforce out of nowhere. They wished tonrestore the Lorule Triforce not to give them one out of nothing
@percher48249 ай бұрын
I think the Triforce is more lenient with those aligned to its power- those with great Courage, Wisdom, or Power. It would explain why Ganon gets so much out of the damn thing despite clearly being evil.
@tylerlaunius73969 ай бұрын
@@Nicolas-lz6pg Yeah, this. It was moreso wishing for their Triforce to come back (be restored), rather than just creating an entirely new one out of thin air. I imagine there must still be some restrictions to its use.

The thing i dont like with the ending is, Hilda almost got corrupted by the Light Worlds TriForce and the people in Ancient Times got corrupted so they had to destroy it. Now they have one again so whos to say the same wont happen again.
@samuraibeluga37499 ай бұрын
not necessarily. wishing for another triforce on a world where there isnt one anymore might be possible but for two triforces to exist at once in one world might not be.
@Limomon9 ай бұрын
I love how Hyrule and Lorule are the antithesis of each other, not only by one being with and the other without a Triforce, but even Hilda and Ravio are the opposite of Zelda and Link. Zelda is the holder of Wisdom, while Hilda trusting Yuga was foolish to say the least. Link is the holder of Courage, yet Ravio fled Lorule because he believed he couldn't save it, in other words, he lacked the courage to fight for it. The only thing that stayed the same between all of them is their desire to do good, even if Hilda summoned Yuga-Ganon, in the end she only had the best intentions for her land.
@BrettKolb-o9n9 ай бұрын
The main reason I like these characters are because they feel like they are all missing the trait that the Triforce related them to them. Without the Triforce of Courage, Ravio was cowardly, depending on the Hero of Hyrule in order to stop Hilda and Yuga, only joining in when he sees his more brave counterpart. Without the Triforce of Wisdom, Hilda got blinded by ambition, couldn’t see that what she was doing was why the Triforce was destroyed in the first place and thinking she had control of Yuga. And without the Triforce of Power Yuga was a weaker man, relying on magic to win his battles, which only changed to more physically able to fight, after combining with Ganon and the Triforce of Power.
@Blunder-Blue9 ай бұрын
I honestly love the headcanon that it's not so much that these counterparts are really missing their aspects of the Triforce, but the 'chosen three' of Lorule just embody DIFFERENT aspects than their Hyrulean counterparts. Hilda's shortsighted plan left her with lust for POWER, believing she could use it to save her people. Ravio couldn't bring himself to stand up to Hilda and Yuga, but had the WISDOM to formulate a plan to save the day. Yuga is a bit more farfetched, but he's very obviously weaker than Ganon--his signature move only technically incapacitates instead of kills--but he goes on a journey throughout an unknown land (Hyrule) to gather the sages to 'aid' his princess. Sounds like something that would take COURAGE (and mirror the journey of quite a few Links).
@clockworkkirlia74759 ай бұрын
@@Blunder-Blue I like this, as compelling as the "missing Triforce" idea is. You can also flip it the other way! Yuga doesn't have much power himself, but he's the only Zelda villain (certainly up until that point, idk the newer games as well) that *ever* managed to hold the wisdom in spellcraft to take Ganon's power and _keep_ it without being hijacked himself. Hilda, on the other hand, might lack something of Zelda's wisdom, but she has the courage to sacrifice anything and everything for her kingdom, no matter how far she has to go to do it... And Ravio? That little bar in your bottom left corner is *his* power, from his bracelet. He starts this game with every item and the thing that powers them; he might not have extradimensional Maiamai upgrades or the courage to seek out the Master Ore, but he has *more* than enough firepower to take down every boss in the game from day one.
@Sir_Danks-A-Lot9 ай бұрын
I only simply see it in that without the triforce itself, they can't embody the three aspects it's meant to represent. It's basically, for lack of better words, the Hyrule trio without plot armor. A Link if he couldnt muster the courage due to a triangle, a Zelda who remained shortsighted rather than wise, a Ganon who resorted to trickery, incapacitating, and siphoning of others' power. I do see *some* merit in the idea that they embody other pieces of the triforce, but it feels like forced semantics to me. You could spin any of them as having any piece by simply looking at it a different way. But what's most likely the message they're going for is that with Lorule's triforce destroyed, these three fated figures were born missing that latent trait they could've had, that they're PROVEN to have in another world containing a triforce.
@chaoticdetectivepeach9 ай бұрын
@@BrettKolb-o9nTbh that's very compelling, but I like to think the Triforce seeks those who display these qualities automatically and it just enhances them instead, so while they do kinda display the inverse. I don't think that's a lack of Triforce having, since Zelda in BoTW and ToTK has the full Triforce, yet that's one of the most courageous Link's in the series. It's stated that he's constantly scared and overwhelmed by everything around him, and yet he still grits his teeth and jumps in front of the danger to protect everyone. Even when it seems impossible. Apparently he parried that guardian laser the first time without even knowing if he could. He just moved to protect his friends, because he knew they couldn't.

I love that Stalblind doesn't let you hit him the same way 3 times. He actually adapts to you by throwing away the shield. It's a nice touch when they actually change their strategy during the fight. Makes it feel like it's an actual being you're fightning
@Bogeynator9 ай бұрын
Yuga does the same thing at the end. Each time he merges into the wall, he responds differently to the bow of light's arrows. The first time, he holds the arrows Link shoots in place, but this takes so long that Link can go out of the wall, walk behind him, and shoot again. The second time, he charges at Link. It's a much quicker response since the last one left him so open. This time, Link goes out and back into the wall much faster to get a quick shot on him while he's still facing away. The third time, he doesn't take any chances. He just smacks the arrow away instantly, leaving no room for the counter- or followup attacks that got him the last times. So this time, Link has to shoot an arrow all the way around the wall in the other direction. There's nothing at all he can do about this; even if he turned around to block it, he would leave himself open from the side facing Link. And in case anyone's wondering, you can't shoot the arrow around the room like that in the first or second wall phase. It just disappears offscreen. It's very refreshing to see bosses change up their strategy mid-fight though in response to how Link's hitting them, though.

Well the second playthrough/hard mode lets you find a journal that you can't access on a "first" playthrough. ALBW is so good! Almost everything about this game is 10/10. A really nice detail that this game that very few Nintendo games have is that after you "solve a problem," you can talk to the victims of said problem and tell them good news. Link isn't as much of a silent protagonist here. Obviously if you do a side quest, like most games, they'll thank you and that's really it. However, you can talk to the NPC's that personally knew a sage before their kidnapping, they'll have some extra thing to say after Link informs them of their rescue. For example, you can tell each of Gulley's parents he's safe once you rescue him, or the Witch after you save Irene. My personal favorite is the Zoras. Once you save their queen, if you go back to Zora's Domain and tell them you rescued her, their actually completely shocked because they had no idea she was even missing!

I'm not really a huge fan of zelda games but ALBW has been one of my favorite games since i first played it, it was so much fun and made with so much love. glad to see you enjoying the experience too. this actually inspired me to break out my old cartridge and finish 100%ing my file fun fact, you can actually have the full defense buff of both tunics while keeping the blue appearance. the appearance will be based on which tunic you pick up last, so if you skip the blue tunic in the water temple and come back to it after getting the red tunic from lorule castle, you'll have full protection and still be blue. plus, it makes the lorule dungeons harder cause you wont have the blue mail defense buff. it actually properly displays the blue armor in the ending cutscenes too
@hylianro9 ай бұрын
I don't know where you got this information from but that's wrong since I went armorless and upgradeless in my hero mode run (very hard). I went to see if I can get the red tunic before the blue and it turns out it's an upgrade progression system so the red mail chest will just give you the blue mail instead.

A few things I’d love to say This was the first Zelda game I ever played, and one of the first games I played when I branched out from Lego and Animal Crossing type games when I was young. It will always hold a very special place among the Zelda games for me, not just because of it being my first but also because it stands out among all the games I’ve played so far with a unique mechanic. I have yet to 100% this game, mostly because I’m stuck trying to find the final Master Ore before going through the tower challenge. During the Lorule Castle dungeon, the music starts slow and quiet, and as you go up more instruments will join and the music gets louder until it’s almost frantic at the final floor. It’s a great way to build up tension to the final boss. In case Linkus didn’t actually find this out, you can go back to the office in Hyrule before the final boss, the same place you first entered the Dark World. It has a few fairies and that’s it. Just a fun extra thing.

The game feels like a perfect sendoff and perfection to 2D Zelda preceding the BOTW era(many initially compared BOTW's open ended dungeon order to how ALBW did it for Lorule!). This is a childhood classic for me, its SO underrated. Its not that hard unless you skip master sword upgrades, but it feels just right for what it is, to me. My first go at the final boss was actually pretty tough, Yuga has a LOT of health and damage if you have few upgrades! I also feel the story is perfectly interesting while staying just as simple as it needs to be. The way the first half diagetically takes after A Link to the Past's, but once you get to Lorule things deviate with the arbitrary dungeon order, and also it being an actual mirror copy kingdom rather than a "corrupted" version. I really like how Lorule is literally alt-history of Hyrule, the divergence point being the conclusion of the Triforce Wars. As Ganon's dark world counterpart (or moreso aghanim's), Yuga is actually the only genuinely classic evil character with really cool powers to match, but Hilda was just desperate. I do wish we actually FOUGHT Hilda a short time before Yuganon is summoned, but otherwise the ending is very tight! Even as a kid I expected a shockingly bittersweet ending where Lorule simply was forgotten and crumbled away, and definitely was caught off guard when Link and Zelda realized they had the power to reassemble the Lorulian Triforce for a permanent resolution. A wonderfully tight LTTP styled story that manages to stand out with its new characters and constant but believeable twists at the end. I love Ravio being your bumbling counterpart, yet still plays a critical role both in gearing you up and cutting in at the end. This was MY zelda game, the one that really sticks with me, the only one I've delved into anywhere near as long is BOTW. Also, the streetpass battle feature slaps, a shame you cant try it out on emulator, theres actually a secret that could be counted as part of 100%'ing the game.

You can get the gold bee in overworld but it's rare. I only got it like twice.

Such a good Zelda Game! My favorite handheld Zelda hands down, still have my copy for my 3DS to this day. If you thought the base game was too easy for you, I’d recommend playing on Hero Mode if you ever replay it. There’s no changes to the structure of the dungeons, but all enemy damage is either doubled or tripled, I can’t remember which. Thats a far more challenging experience.

God I love this game. Can't wait for the randomizer

56 minutes ago. This was your first time playing but to me this was my first time watching any gameplay of this game, so it was my first experience and I loved it, I can imagine how playing was fun! It’s a really impressive 3D game and seeing it does make it one of my favourites. I hope to see the randomizer in the future because I think that would be a cool and funny video 😊! I had watched the first video on this a day I was sick, now I’m happy to watch feeling much better!

I've other bothered to 100% a few Zelda games over the years, despite it being my favorite series. This was one of them. A very pleasant surprise, this game was.

This was insane, I had forgotten how goated a link between worlds was, gonna dust of my 3ds to play it before the randomizer video releases

you should play a link between worlds randomizer

so, fun fact, the link and zelda from ALTTP are a couple. this game has a secret keeper that mentions that zelda keeps gawking at a painting of the two of them holding one another.

As someone who played this when it came out, it is genuinely difficult if you don’t go out of your way to upgrade your armor and sword. I remember having a lot of trouble beating the final boss without the tunic upgrades (granted this was like 10+ years ago)

This game and TMC are both my favorite 2D Zelda games!

Hilda is Zelda without the Wisdom to know how to help her subjects. Yuga is Ganon without the Power to take over on his own. Ravio is Link without the Courage to stand up for what's right.

It's been quite some time since I played A Link between worlds. Honestly I think my experience was similar, I went in with no intentions to 100% it but after clearing most of the story It was just so fun exploring and finding all the stuff that I unintentionally completed it to 100%.
