I LOVE how much you incorporate mental health with your weight loss because it is SO important. Healing ourselves from literally the inside out. ♥️ For me I’m very much a stress eater and working on my stress is helping me overall. But for me, it’s important to see those uncomfortable feelings when I’m experiencing them and acknowledging them. When I get a wave of sadness for whatever reason, I stop and think “This feeling sucks but I see you and I love you.” I’m teaching myself to love myself all over again, even the parts I don’t like as much. 🍽️🍽️🍽️

Walked my 6 miles today, still not hungry, day 3. Stomach was growling, but I still just don’t feel like eating, probably because my water consumption is through the roof. I do Intermittent Fasting 16/8, I’ve been doing that for a long time. I track my food daily on Lose It. I love fruit, even when we go on cruises, I choose fruit over cake. Knowing the difference is really hard. I've lost over 60 pounds and am at my goal weight. I am now trying to adjust from staying in a calorie deficit to eating to maintain and not gain. 🍽️ Head hunger vs. real hunger has been the battle of my life, like so many, I’m sure. That food noise is REAL, and I realized more recently that I’ve always had it, even as a child. I have distinct memories of me thinking about food, often dessert/baked items, and counting the moments until I got to eat some. Understanding when I am truly hungry was tricky cause my body would give me what I felt were legit cues even after I ate my meals. Headaches being the main culprit. I have no doubt that I’ve been GLP deficient my whole life. So, I’ve decided that I will continue to keep track of my food and calories indefinitely to help keep me aware of what and how much I’m eating. Thankfully my hunger cues are really easy to navigate with the meds right now. I hope it can stay that way but trying not to worry if it doesn’t. As always, one day at a time! I was able to take advantage of the sale on those Amazon shirts and got two of them. SUPER cute and felt great trying on! Going through my clothes is actually kind of fun instead of it being a depressing task looking at stuff that doesn’t fit me.

I actually loved tracking when I used to do it. Was a big eye opener how much sodium in things that added up fast or all the in between meal food and how that added up. Or 4 nectarines and I am type 2 diabetic. I think I used fitbit app and they had a huge data base or could enter a specific meal I made more than once. This was a huge surprise to me and was glad to have that information. I haven’t been tracking since Mounjaro because I don’t have a problem yet with too much food. But once I am in maintenance, I probably will go back to it. Especially the sodium content and carbs. One extra tortilla or this and that all made a big difference at the end of the day.

🍽🍽🍽 Another day down! Dr. appointment early in the morning and their scale is always different from my Renpho but I am excited to share with her how much I have lost. I am on cloud 9 let me tell you! I completely understand about head hunger. I grew up pretty much the same way and it is difficult for my mind to accept that I am not in that situation any longer. I used to be a big carb eater, bread mainly but now when my head hunger messes with me it is for something sweet. Little Debbie Nutty Buddy bars. We absolutely can not, CAN NOT have them in the house. Tonight I am battling the urge but like you said, it will pass. I'm drinking my zero calorie electrolyte sport drink, just had supper and I keep telling my brain that I am good. Time to rest and let it go. Thank you for opening the dialog, and you are correct. A lifetime of snacking in the evenings when watching TV is a hard habit to break, also now? I’ve been on nightshift for six years, and try not to “eat” at night because when I’m off I don’t want to crave food at night when I’m sleeping.
