Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

I read this in a review a bit ago: "the packing foam having cut outs for the vents to use to plug the windows and vent outside is really smart!" Different applications may require different solutions, so your mileage may vary. Most vehicles, houses, etc don't have the exact same shape or width of window, after all.

$ 1500 is kind of pricey. I bought a Black and Decker portable AC that I used in my travel trailer for about $ 325. Although larger, I think it could be adapted to push air through the small window in the rear window of a truck into the covered cab area. The exhaust hose could be fitted to exhaust out the rear passenger window and the condensate could be caught in a 5 gallon bucket and emptied in the morning. My B & D easily ran off my generator on ECO mode for quiet operation.

I’m confused why every picture or portion of the video was outside. I’m curious how well it works in an enclosed area outside, like a tent or camper. If you’re outside and it’s 90°, I doubt that thing is useful at all. At that point, but a couple rotating fans and keep everyone cool. Anyone know if they are useful in campers when off-grid?

Amazon shows 240 watts power consumption and 2300 BTU of cooling power. Applications can vary, but there's likely going to be power conversion inefficiencies, and for those you can probably add anywhere from 20 to 50 extra watts. And yeah, this review was very poorly done. I had a few comments of my own to add on to the video, but figured I'd answer your question while I was here.

Ignore the technical statements - bottom line - if you went the hot air outside the space it will cool - but it use all of the known ingredients to cool. and its 25% of a regular window unit, so if your old unit can't cool your bedroom - neither can this. BUT its taking the edge off the heat on my sailboat and I vented it thorugh the porthole when tied up.

@4:04 This video's attempt to show this device off has some serious flaws. You can't just set this device on a night stand and expect it to do some magic cooling. You have a heat exhaust dumping heat from the back of the device into the room the way this video has depicted this.

@thisoldrv
@thisoldrv 3 жыл бұрын
The ZBM2 will not cool the way he suggests. In bed, with a blanket, with the outlet next to you, you'll never feel a thing. The only way this AC works is if it is blowing directly on one person. The ZBM2 is designed to cool people, not places. It's a good AC, and is incredibly well engineered, but don't expect it to cool down a room, or a tent. It needs to blow the cool air directly at you.

@@jacobryanh88 that will depend on the square foot of your car... Is it insulated well.. Do you have tinted windows... Will you use a sunshade for the windshield . These units will cool a small tent.. They will cool a small compact size car.... The main reason people have performance problems comes inn the method they use to vent the exhaust... It needs to be vented outside of the cabin area that is being cooled.... It more only should be ducted but also insulated to not heartsick the area being cooled.. The ducting exhausting the air should be the shortest possible.. These units work but they are overpriced.. you are better off getting a 12v over the cab unit many trucks and tractor drivers use... Is what I will be doing

@@thisoldrv If that's the case people are better off buying icybreeze, a cooler ac. It cost much less and it blows colder air. The catch is you have to keep buying ice but $300 vs over $1,000 icybreeze is a better deal.

@@timjones9128 those ice cube coolers and the water-based coolers are swamp coolers. They increase the humidity inside your camper dramatically. I would not be interested in something like that. In the end it'll end up causing mold and doing damage.

Most Window Units are 5 to 8 thousand BTU. I looked through the comments, and saw some stuff about cooling a vehicle. You aren't cooling a vehicle down with only 2300 BTU of cooling power going up against the Sun & Green House effect. Edit: You might get better use out of it if you're trying to cool the vehicle down through a night of sleep in the vehicle, assuming you use the hoses properly (mounted in a window or something)

Very Cool Concept, but does not work. This is a very over priced poor fan at best, do your homework before purchasing! Purchased a unit do to advertisement, only cooled a 6X5 foot camper 3-4 degrees in the evening in two hours. Crack a window and use a $30.00 fan in the evening and it will cool way better!

Borderline scam company, very disappointed 👎 I bought my zero breeze, and it stopped working. Asked customer service how to get it fixed under warranty, they said ship it over. I asked if they wanted me to ship everything with the battery, or just the unit that didn't work? They said everything. After waiting months and months, I followed up with emails, no response. Finally after sending emails every 2 weeks, they did respond, they said I was now out of warranty, and if I wanted another unit I would just pay $200, then I asked about the battery, they said I would need to buy battery separately. I'll never think about zero breeze again, they are a joke. I have a really long email chain if new management wants to see it some day and try to make it right. Worst experience of my life. 👎
