The scary part of listening to an insider who recounts their tactical approach to changing how the conversation occurred is that to some degree they lose sight of their ideology. It becomes corrupted by the desire to be heard or win or control the dialogue rather than vetting the idea for its merits or flaws and accepting the American public’s conclusion. There becomes a point where winning at all costs becomes the only end game. The conservative tactics were very effective and perhaps there was a true sense of returning America back to the average American, but the results were far from that. The reforms they think are benefitting society are just as harmful to the middle class and poor and the status quo they aimed to replace. Too bad that the game is more important than the debate and scouring of the good and bad ideas.

Are you serious! Look at the economy and social disorder going on under Biden. BAMN, is a leftist organization, BLM, Antifa is the paramilitary of the democrat party, and now the trans movement which is extremely violent with a movement coined, "Trantifa." You can say all you want about J6. But J6 doesn't come anywhere near what blm and Antifa did all across this nation. Serration is back, universities are allowing blacks to have segregated commencement ceremonies. Let's talk about the Russia hoax? Anyone? Russia hoax divided families, long time friends and the country. People like Adam Schiff were saying Russia hoax was real and he had proof. Never happened, The democrats control ALL the intel agencies, the vast majority of pseudo news media outlets, and many, many more institutions that are falling apart and people no longer trust.

Alex never believed the Russia hoax. Did you? Because if you did, honestly? If you did, then Alex Marlow is more correct than you. I have followed Marlow and BB for years. Alex, from what I can tell is fair, honest and a good and decent family. He's not confrontational and a VERY clear thinking individual. He's not perfect. Another question, do you really believe there are 32 genders? Because I can guarantee you Alex does not. After you answer my questions, if you don't mind, exactly which points that Alex stated, what exactly did Alex say that you believe to be false, and he believes is "True" in his head?

"Barack Obama was the original made-for-TV president" = Utter nonsense. Every president since JFK has had his image and message carefully crafted for television. Richard Nixon was probably the ultimate made-for-TV president. He had lost in 1960 because he came across so badly on TV. He completely flopped in the TV debate with JFK - it wasn't just that JFK won those debates, but that Nixon blew it so badly. 1968 came, and everything was different. Nixon's staff crafted an excellent TV campaign that put the candidate across to conservatives as a tough, law-&-order guy, to moderates as a sensible, competent centrist and a statesman, and to Southern bigots as sympathetic to their interests. The guy who ran Nixon's TV campaign was none other than Roger Ailes, the eventual founder of Fox News. Ailes worked in the Nixon WH as the president's media advisor. He wrote a famous memo in 1971, proposing the creation of a news outlet that would be run directly by the Republican party, in the party's interest. Nixon's was force to resign before Ailes' plan could be acted on, but it became the blueprint for Fox News.

It’s commendable on one hand that Frontline created this series, but it’s also pathetic and telling that educated PBS/Frontline viewers are so utterly uninterested in learning about opinions not their own that PBS has to make a special show about what the conservative media has to say. As if half of America can’t just turning on the radio to learn about the “mysterious, exotic and distant” world of conservative American thought that actually shapes national politics. But I guess this is the only way to actually get the Frontline audience to take interest in differing opinions, albeit briefly. I say this by the way as an “educated liberal native New Yorker” and longtime PBS supporter who would never dream of voting for Trump. Way to go Frontline for holding up the mirror to our own ignorance and lack the of interest in differing opinions. Too bad this point will be lost on most viewers as they shudder to hear what conservatives actually have to say. Talk about zero tolerance.

Towards the end of the interview, Marlowe effectively laid out the illegal immigration crisis with the exception of one crucial omission....anchor babies. Some find this terminology offensive, so be it. But no one seems to speak to the numbers (if known) of a parallel illegal immigration industry that creates millions more on top of the millions who’ve crossed the border illegally. Now that illegals have yet another “anchor” via birthright citizenship, they are safe in the surety (coupled with the ACLU and immigration attys industry), their permanent residency in the USA.

Dear PBS: I've watched several of these interviews but I haven't watched the final 'documentary'. You----PBS----aren't fooling anybody. The final product will no doubt be as skewed, condescending, and elitist as most of your programming. In effect the 'documentary' will be a light version of Democracy Now, but it will not be an honest, bias-free summation of all these interviews. There is a reason why so many people call for a government defunding of PBS. Great interview. As reprehensible a person as he is, I will be voting for Trump in 2020 on the illegal immigration issue alone. Zero Tolerance! Citizens and legal immigrants first and only.

just a fact about the "unelected bureaucrats in brussels": we have an european parliament which we elect. we just did so in may of this year. and many of the decisions are made by the elected heads of states of the individual countries.

The unelected clique that runs the elected officials, you know damn well what that meant. By the way, they are replacing ethnic Europeans with blacks and browns at an expeditious rate. I wouldn’t take so much pride in that “fact”.

I listen to Alex in the mornings on Breibart, very intelligent and well spoken guy. He explains republican positions much better than most republican politicians can ever do. We need more folks like Alex and Ben Shapiro who have the intelligence and discipline to argue our points to the masses. Great job guys.

I was willing to listen to this guy despite the fact he was Breitbart. But as soon as he started spinning the Trayvon Martin story into a far right account I realized why I despise " news" outlets like Breitbart." George Zimmerman was a white hispanic, whatever that means" is one racist comment. What do you mean. Marlow? Because Zimmerman is hispanic, he can't be white? The further south you travel into Mexico and Central/ South America, the more people look like me. Blonde hair, blue eyes and fair skin. To me it sounds like you are spewing Breibart stories that hispanics are are " murderers, rapists and some are fine people ". Or perhaps you are saying that it wasn't the white Zimmerman that killed Trayvon, it was the hispanic Zimmerman. I applaud Frontline for their attempts to give equal voice to all sides. Unfortunately this particular interview didn't enlighten anyone or change the outlook about Breitbart. The only cutting edge, a description this tool used often, is edge Breitbart use to separate and divide.

At this point there are 299 comments. I'll address this first. I didn't vote for Trump. His personality.....is not to my liking. There are some very good points that are made. Globalization.....why wages are so low. That both parties want immigration in my opinion on point. "They hate this country." Could not agree more. Where I live most of the population is from some place other then the US. They gladly fly the flags of the countries they fled. As if to say _ _ _ _ _ _ _ America! If where they were born is so great why did they leave? When engaged in conversation they say things such as "in my country." They are not referring to the US.

Although this fellow and his allies have enjoyed significant success in the short term in their efforts to vilify and repress immigration, and regardless that some of their reasons are somewhat grounded (financial anxiety), I agree with those who suggest that eventually our country will reject their fear based policies and warmly embrace immigrants, much like what has happened here in California in the years after props 187, 209 & 227. Time after time we’ve looked to blame others for our problems, and for a while those angry fires will engulf and entrance us, but sooner or later, usually later, we again become aware that we are one human family.

Lord Azarkhan - Ok, so I’ll grant you that we have dark historical examples of what may occur when nations fail to secure their borders, like the misfortune visited upon the Native peoples who once inhabited these lands - they were overrun, their culture destroyed, the few surviving families willfully separated, and so maybe you simply want to avoid a similar nightmare ...
