This video is so true and is exactly what happened to me. My B1/B2 was approved at the London Embassy. The visa officer said very little to me other than ask me questions. He hardly looked at me and was typing away at his computer. I got the impression that there was a HUGE amount of information about me on his computer that he was reviewing that he made his decision on after getting a feel for what I was like as a person. I was smartly dressed and showed respect and humility for the occasion. I answered all questions truthfully and honestly. I practised the way I would deliver my answers multiple times before the interview to my family. The whole thing was over and finished inside four minutes. I think these officers are extremely expert and trained in people and getting to the core of a person very quickly.

@@parthptl1801 Thanks. Without going into too much detail, he asked why I was applying for a VISA when I could have gone the ESTA route. Also, where I had been in the US before (I have been many times). I had the impression he knew all these answers and was testing me. He was very curt and unfriendly and hardly looked at me. i just had my US B2 visa interview last tuesday, 19th Nov. it was a very fast interview, more like verification only from my application form. took only about 2 minutes. i was not even allowed to ask any questions. luckily, the officer "approved" my visa. and yes, she kept typing something to her computer all way through. 😅 to applicants, i suggests to pay attention to what u put in your DS-160. take screenshots if u can, so u will remember everything u answered by the time your appointment comes (as for me, i had to wait 6 weeks for my interview), consistency is the key !!! plus of course, for B1/B2 visa, need to prove strong ties to home country, making sure you'll come back and not be another US migrant, esp with Trump as president 😅.... so bring supporting docs, such as employment proof, bank sttmts, residence card, etc. (but just show when asked).

Thank you so much for this detailed video. This was what happen to me when l was interview August this year. The F1 visa was denied and the officer did not look at me at all when she asked questions, she was just typing for a long time and when she asked she did not allow me to answer before asking the next one, it was very disappointing after preparing so much for months and not given an opportunity to answer!. I have not travelled internationally before, could that be the reason why the visa was denied? It was a fully funded scholarship. And l have a letter from my company sending me for the school but she did not even want it, how will she know if it authentic or not if she did not allow one to talk? Sorry for the long message. My concern now is what you said about the officer comment in my history. Will that affect my next interview?
