This is such an important tip for all to enjoy using any cast iron or Carbon steel. The last time that I did is watching your video with that piece of fat and some chinese chives my wok came out incredible brilliant. Yours looks well primed!! and taken care + seasoning the wok will last a lifetime.

So true, I went through countless Teflon-type skillets in the last few decades until I learned from Sifu last year. The wok I have now will last a lifetime and it's so good for Cantonese cuisine.

When brand new, most manufacturer would recommend using lots of detergent to clean off the factory protective wax before doing to the seasoning process highlighted by our sifu Sing Sing . Cooking pork & veggies as a cleaning method sounds like the classic method.
