Thanks! Perhaps you'll do a more in depth look at setting this gadget up. I got one, and I'm hesitant about how to get it talking to phone and to the remote control offered. The step by step of how to make sure the stabilizer has the most up to date version of programs and linking stabilizer with phone and remote, would be nice. Forward, ever.

if you want a better quality selfie mode then push the mode button three times. it will turn it around 180 degrees

In your recommendation which on is the great device Zhiyun Smooth Q, Zhiyun Smooth 3 or DJI Osmo Mobile? For the recording which one is the best and saving the money. DJI Osmo +, GoPro Hero 5, Xiaomi Yii 4K or Xiaomi Mijia? Thanks for your kindness assistance....

+Hidayat Nugraha The best smartphone gimbal is the dji osmo mobile and use an iPhone or galaxy s7 or above for the recording.

Does Smooth Q is considerable due to the price? 😁 How about action camera, have you ever review betwen GoPro Hero 5/6 Vs. Xiaomi Yii 4K Vs. Xiaomi Mijia? Which one is considerably due to the price for sure and the features? 😅😁😅

Was hoping that you would cover how to export photos or videos taken while using the Smooth Q App... My App offers some "Asian" social network links but nothing that I see resembling Dropbox, Dropshots, or to the phones storage.... I must be missing something. Help!

Which phone are you using? Usually you go into the play screen of the smooth q app, where you can see your images and videos, then save a local copy, unless it's android where you can just use the My Files app to go to the smooth q folder and see the files there.

Gadget John first, thanks for the reply. I've got a Google pixel 2. I was originally the Z play app vs the Z assistant...so now I've got it going my way...almost. problem now is getting those smooth q shots to render correctly in hit film express.... despite me setting the smooth q settings to sync with my vids...their preview remains choppy in hit film.

As I said in this review, the apps for Zhiyun aren't great, however, I would try and just play back the video using the My Files and your default media player. Editing on the phone is always going to be dependant upon video quality and length vs phone spec and space. I'd edit on the computer, then pop the finished edit back on my phone if I wanted to share socially.

IF you look in your app store for ZY Play or Zhiyun, the assistant app is for remote controlling your gimbal if you want to do that too, but the Play app is for taking pictures and recording video from the phone in the gimbal.

It uses micro usb so you can use a usb plug like you get with a phone etc.

That’s right, use any usb plug you’ve got that you use for charging phones etc.

I've had mine 2yrs and used it little yet its rear axis motor gets very hot and then the unit will go into sleep mode. It struggles with a Samsung galaxy A30 and that's a cheap light smartphone. Pretty crappy in my opinion and I wouldn't buy another gimbal from Zyhiun.
