I just got this gimbal and it's nice ! Except for the keyframe motion control function on the app, it is way better on the DJI app. What monopode did you use to emulate a crane ?
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
@@meriredetripsandclicks3153 Yeah I wish I had a little more time to jump into the software but I didnt get a chance. As for the monopod, I used an older one (but quality one) I have, very similar to this one: amzn.to/2smL2MN

I got this one in April last yea, still in box, SHAME on me! Approach / avoidance conflict, you have given me the nudge 🍷 Have the DJI Pocket 2 GoPro Hero 10 Lumix S5, all with great IBIS etc, not to mention Software solutions like Resolve Studio 18, Mercali 6 But still, some moves need a gimbal to plan and execute. How do you think it will go with the S5 + SIRUI S35 Anamorphic lens? CHEERS, LIKED👍

@@SergeGolikov I think it’ll work great with that combo!

Thanks for shooting a phenomenal video on the Weebill S. Your use of a skateboard, monopod, and comments at the end were objective and very helpful. I believe that for many years to come we will still need gimbals-the technology for stabilizing cameras just is not there yet. I hate more equipment but so far there is no camera on the market that can create truly smooth footage that could not be improved with a gimbal. Thanks, again!!!

I just bought one for my G85 today. It took me hours to figure out how to put it together and get it balanced. The instructions were garbage. If it wasn't for several videos on KZbin I wouldn't of partially figured it out. Had to take a break from it because I was getting a little angry. It seems to great though from everyone's review?? I wish the instructions were better for the modes. Ehh.. guess I'll keep playing with it. Great footage with yours !!

Dope review man! I found it needed a bit of tweaking to get it smooth as i noticed the panning wasn't as smooth from default either.
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
yeah I couldn't be bothered with tweaking it. The Ronin out of the box is much smoother. But its still a little beast!

Nice vid and review man. I use the smoove mobile phone gimbal myself. Does the job for what I need really, but I think a camera and gimbal upgrade might be on the cards in the future.
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
Yeah nice man. I love how you do it like that. Keeps it compact. You can always add some quality in the future with a better setup

Hey Ben, I've been thinking about buying this gimbal lately. The only thing that’s a problem for me, are these jerky movements while doing a parallax shot. Do you know if this is a thing you can fix by changing the settings? My ronin s does these moves perfect, but it’s too heavy for shooting with it all day long. Nice video btw. 🤙🏽
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
Yep sure can. It's in the deadband settings. I would highly recommend it as an alternative to the Ronin S for lighter setups.

After travelling with my Ronin S I'm definitely interested in something that can lock up the motors. With that feature do you feel secure to travel with this gimbal without a special case for it?

nice presentation. for a z6ii+z24-70 2.8 150g would you recommend weebil-s or dji rsc2 ?

why isn't there good stabilization software available for aspc and full frame cameras ??

It's getting better, but they haven't added any real good software stabilisation yet.

Can the Weebill - S also be used when shooting with phone and or action Camera - I would like to have one gimble where I can use all cameras
@benmack3 жыл бұрын
I'd say you could, but you may need to add weight to it to stabilise

The jerks are from the deadband settings
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
Nice! Thanks! I didn't really have much time (or patience) to fiddle with it, I knew I could have been adjusted, but I literally had a few days with it and wanted to see how it performed pretty much out of the box. Appreciate it!

Ben Mack took me some time to figure out on my Ronin S too, will be upgrading to this soon
@garrysj28874 жыл бұрын
can you share your deadband settings?
@Michael-dx8qz4 жыл бұрын
Garry SJ I have always set it to zero, but make sure your speed is not too high otherwise every little movement will show. Setting it to zero does mean you get slight wobble if you are not that stable, but I rather have slight wobbles than sudden jerks.

Do you know if Weebill S supports electronic optical focus (without external motor) on Sony with lens like 18-105 zoom?
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
Like a follow focus? Yes, it's that big circular know on the handle. You'd need the additional motor for it also though.
@stephenahearn29194 жыл бұрын
@@benmack No I meant being able to directly use zoom via the gimble without the add on (flaky) motor. Ronin Sc will do with certain Sony power zoom lenses but it appears that Zhiyun does not have good integration with Sony cameras
@benmack4 жыл бұрын
Oh I get you, so you mean more for zooming without touching the lens? like for a smooth dolly zoom? I'm not actually sure. I doubt it though
@tuxilla14 жыл бұрын
@@benmack I suspect that this may work at some point if they can get better integration with Sony. As I mentioned this works great on Ronin SC. Too bad the Ronin cant handle heavier loads :-)
