ARGHH!!! This video is too full of misinformation! 1. The 白帝 (Baidi / White Emperor) plane is from AVIC's long running 南天门计划 (South Heaven Gate Project) sci-fi universe. It does not represent anything in the real world, planned or otherwise. It's a thing AVIC developed to interest kids in aviation and is heavily influenced by the Ace Combat videogame series and the old Japanese anime Sentou Yousei Yukikaze. 2. The plane being displayed in Zhuhai is not the JL-9 but its light strike fighter variant FTC-2000G. It's got a modernized cockpit based on the JF-17. It is not a transonic trainer but a fully supersonic light fighter. 3. The FTC-2000G's engine is not a turbofan. It's the same WP-14 turbojet engine used by the J-8III interceptor.

I want to emphasize that the South Gate plan is just a design concept of what future jets could be, and none of the designs are official. The South Gate plan is not a plan that is currently backed by any of China's aerospace research institutions, it is a design made by a private company. they don't take such advance weapons out for public, just like B-21. Alot more weapons have not been shown because US will panic. There is a H-20 and JH-26. There are many more drones, from subsonic to hypersonic drones. Just look at the land drone wolfpack. China does have airdrop version which they can drop in many areas and then the wolfpack can go on their own hunting, capable of doing major public massacre. There is also another mother drone ship on display, that is a scary one. It can release 100 small drones which can take out a whole batallion

Very Briefed And Summarized Ideas: I think if our Chinese friends focusing on expanding the JL-10 combat capabilities as modern light combat aircraft LCA, it could be modern alternatives to the obsolete design of JL-9 although the latter is utilizing single engine which is usually cheaper to run than the twin engine JL-10, beside generally the JL-9 as heavily modernized variant of mig-21/j-7, are easier and simpler to operate and maintain compared to the 21century platform JL-10 but with employing modern technology like the fuel regulator this would help cutting the fuel consumption cost by maybe 90% during the missions profile... the JL-9 could be suitable for many air forces around the world with moderate security needs and limited strategic requirements and tight defensive budget with primitive or low level of military Infrastructure especially the air force in terms of facilities and workforce... I think our Chinese friends need to develop modern turboprop combat aircraft with advanced capabilities or as an heavily armored highly maneuver and very agile, ground attacks/ anti helicopters and anti drones fighter aircraft, although in the modern combat environment the ground attacks aircrafts roles had slowly but steadily receding, or losing its importance, because in symmetrical combat environment which is saturated with various types of manpads systems and highly mobile SHORAD systems ,the missions of close air support aircraft, with their flying characteristics and missions profile from low flying and the requirement of long hovering over the operation zone at relatively slow speeds, those missions become fraught with challenges and risks, but this is huge market and not all threats are from the same nature and thus it will not require the same response, for example equipping fast and highly dynamic fighter aircraft like the J10 or J11 broader family with advanced reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting pod capable at the appropriate altitudes of providing the same close air support provided by the specialized ground attack platforms like the su-25/su-39 and the a10 at much lower altitudes, beside in peace time capable conducting wide range of missions including long range air patrol, but all those capabilities comes at higher operation cost compared to the smaller snd more specialized platforms, the solution not only by expanding the attack drones roles but also by expanding the capabilities and the versatility of the specialized platforms like the ground attack fighter aircrafts... LONG LIVE CHINA LONG LIVE PLA...

This is not a real fighter but just a mock up made of fiberglass and wood most likely. There are barely any lifting surfaces to allow it to fly let alone dogfight.

3:09 looks more like someone trying to troll than a real project. It looks like a manga revision of the mythical Foxtrot Clint Eastwood stole to the Soviets. It’s also not very stealthy due to the simple fact you can clearly see the jet turbines down the air intakes. That’s another big no-no.

Their would be no point in giveing the back pilot a head up display they only do that so the pilot can fly the plane and read the display but the wepons officer in the back doesn't need to fly the plane he just locked the wepons and uses the electronic warfair snd stuff like that

@ivanborgia3384 that's what they mostly are he's not gonna be looking forward out of the plane they are their to target the wepons pods and ew systems they would only fly the plane in a emergency so puting in a system that just takes up weight and space whitch is not gonna ever get used is stupid they can put in things that they will use
