The worn look is noticeable. But remember manpower is down, and US vessels patrol the far oceans of the world. Chinese naval deployments rarely breach the South China Sea. The Red fleet could gain anchorage in Mariel, Cuba or Bluefields, Nicaragua soon. So, they'll be around.

It is benefit that during Nancy pelosi visited Taiwan, America sent out a F18 superhornet jammer to jam the chinese warships, apparently it was the a type 0055 destroyers. But the F18 flied over and attacked a few times, it did nothing to the type 055 super destroyers radars and electronics sensors, the type 055 was open their lunchers doors, the F18 pilots were in shocked and left quickly and the America general got sacked for sent the F18 jammer out. china's sensors and radars are advanced AESA series are so powerful , its actually nearly melted the F18 eletronic system. we don't know it true or not but pla and Americans troops are talkng about it.

This did happen, but a little differently. Firstly, Pelosi's visit was months before the F18 incident. During the visit F18's jammed Chinese AWACs aircraft, but the PLA analyzed this interaction and developed a method to render F18 jamming ineffective. Months later an American naval officer (not a general, in the US Generals are not in the navy) ordered an F18 to jam a Type 055. Not only was it a Type 055, it was this exact ship that the video is about. However the jamming attempt failed as the F18 received a lock warning meaning that the Type 055's radar was still functional. The F18 continued to get closer (probably in an attempt to successfully jam the warship) but continued to fail, then the Nanchang opened it's weapon bay doors and the F18 turned around and went home. The Nanchang did not "nearly melt" the F18's electronics, but the officer in charge on the US side was fired and the US is now looking to quickly replace their F18 jamming systems as a result.

You can understand them as the two sides of the American Civil War. The mainland side is similar to the victorious northern regime, which now represents the China internationally, and the Taiwan side is similar to the defeated south, but it retreated to the island of Taiwan.

As an ex RCN member, I think I can say with all honesty, the majority of the crew of the Nanchang would quickly get sick and tired of all the rah rah bs and ship song......that's how most sailors are, no matter which navy they are in......that kind of motativational gash will probably only work on very Jr. officer who are still wet behind their ears.

Almost certainly removed when the ship is in use. The ship is entirely devoid of crew and personal equipment so I'd guess it was due for a refit or something and they decided have it used as a PR piece while it's in port.

That is because the Z20 is based on the American Blackhawk Helicopter. In the 1980’s when US and China was on friendly terms, US sold Blackhawk Helicopters to China, but after the 1989 Tiananmen Square incident, the sale was stopped. Chinese maintained and serviced these helicopters and also reversed engineered these and made it their own, hence why they look very similar.

@@myfamilyvideos84 Their WZ-10 turboshaft engines on these Harbin Z20s are a lot more powerful than the General Electric T700-GE-401C turboshaft engines on the Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawks. The improvement of aeronautical performance over the original Sikorsky design is substantial.

The term simply doesn't existed in PLAN classification system. Principle combat ship either focus on local-level threat (Frigate), or focus on theater-level threat (Destroyer).
