I remember showering in fels-naptha after hiking in summer camp. I still use it after a hick in the woods. I used it on my kids when they were growing up if they were in the woods. You can soak contaminated cloths in a f-n soap solution.

Very informative with what you can do with this soap. TIP: If you bring a peeler or just your knife, you can make shavings with the soap so you don't make the whole bar get west and nasty.

Great for washing clay, dirt and grass from baseball/softball pants. Wet the pants, rub the soap into the stain, brush in with a nail or toothbrush then add to the laundry with your regular detergent.

Love it for poison oak, and ivy, also melt it down in a 5 gallon bucket of water no borax, or washing soda makes excellent laundry soap.

Basic homemade old fashion lard soap made with pork lard and sodium hydroxide will do the same. Also dirt cheap and super easy to make. If you wanna get real down with it it can be made from animal fat and fire ash for some real end if time or shtf skills!

@ZimCoSurvival5 жыл бұрын
It should although I've never used it for that :) if it doesn't use dawn ultra and soak the items for an hour before washing them. That should work to remove it. Normal laundry detergent doesn't work.
@ZimCoSurvival5 жыл бұрын
If you do use dawn use alot. About 1 cup per 2 gallons of water. Do it in a bathtub not in a washing machine!

Should gloves be worn while applying this soap for stain removal? Also, If it’s grated and used as laundry soap, does it still remove stains without having rubbed it onto the stained spot?!

If you start it three days into poison ivy is it still effective? How often do you apply it if it's not healed right away and how many days do you continue to apply?
@ZimCoSurvival5 жыл бұрын
3 days in the oil is no longer the problem. I'm not a doctor so I can't say for sure what to do, but after 3 days the rash isnt coming from oil anymore so i doubt it will still work but you can try :)
@cmndrkool3215 жыл бұрын
I get poison ivy every year because I am very allergic to it, and can answer that. Rinse the rash in water first before applying the soap. The best method is to put the rash under the hottest water you can withstand and then put it in the coldest water you have present. After soaking it, apply the soap. I have shrunk some of the worst rashes covering my entire leg or arm in a day. There are a lot of other remedies I tried in the past, but this one always worked the quickest and most effective.
@VladFredK4 жыл бұрын
so I did try this and this soap just like any other Poison ivy soap will just delude and smear/spread the urushiol on your skin, it will not remove it so if you'r not as sensitive to urushiol, it might feel like you washed it off your skin but that is not the case.
@ZimCoSurvival4 жыл бұрын
Hmm interesting, I wonder if they've changed the formula causing it to be less effective

Nice video sir. Can you say if this is a really concentrated product? Is it eco-friendly? Do you also use it for laundry?
@ZimCoSurvival6 жыл бұрын
It is concentrated, I shave off small amounts and melt it into small amounts of water for stains when I use it for laundry. Unfortunately it isnt eco-friendly, I use seventh generation and campsuds as my every day soaps :)
