Phenolic is what they make carburetor spacers out of. It’s basically a strong plastic that can handle high heat. It looks really good when polished. Almost like glass. Thanks for the video, it was a treat to see the prototype.

It is what they make carb spacers out of . The old series land rovers use them for carb spacers .

What a fantastic piece of Fender history Mr. Z! I had the honor of having the chance to play a 1952 Tele many years ago. It had been with the owner since 52' when it was brand new. It was played and worn in all the right spots, I have to say that it was like nothing is ever had my hands on before. It was an almost magical experience to play It.

You know the first thing you do when playing a Strat, is going into some of those Hendrix chords. Especially, with the neck position selected.

Yeah, no doubt. It looks to me like the trem cavity was regular size, and they added wood to it. It's not even cut straight on the block cavity. Then he changed the subject real quick when Zimm was asking about those plugged up holes. This is not what he says it is. I would love for him to take it to a Fender expert, at Fender, and have it examined thoroughly, and I'll bet they'll find out what it really is. A Partscaster.

Oldest I played was a 1970 too be brutally honest . It was junk the Quality wasn’t great and the playability wasn’t great either . I own a couple of 80’s ones and they’re far better .I’ve owned Squiers that played and sounded better and with better QC than that 70 fender .

I'm pretty sure the 'original owner' he points out in the photo is actually Bill Carson, a country guitarist and friend of Leo Fender? Maybe it's the bloke on the right on the opposite page?
