Today, I fix the TOP 3 PPROBLEMS on my Seicane headunit
1. Zlink won't connect to my iphone/phone
2. Wifi automatically shuts off
3. Headunit won't shut off after the ignition key is taken out

If your zlink screen is stuck on “waiting” after connecting your phone’s wifi and Bluetooth to your car stereo; 1. Disconnect your phone’s Bluetooth. 2. Reconnect your phone’s Bluetooth to your car stereo. The Zlink should automatically connect to your phone. Lastly; make sure your Siri is enabled.

@@bluecollarBlaze did you buy the wireless CarPlay feature on your headunit? I have had people tell me their zlink wireless feature doesn’t work when they never bought the feature. If you have, make sure your Siri is enabled and keep me updated.

Literally putting my car in auxiliary mode fixed it for me. If you didn’t show the first few seconds, I’d have been struggling for hours. You’re awesome man!

@@MortalSlayer16 not every car has auxiliary mode, but fortunately for me mine does. all this means is i turned the key one notch to the left, not enough to turn the whole car off but enough to keep all the electronics on. and that ended up fixing it for me

​@@quality_contentmydude6965 It's called "accessory mode" and all cars with an ignition switch by key have it. Not "auxiliary" which is the term for the alternate sound output of the car stereo. But whatever, your comment makes no sense all the same. The accessory mode only provides 12VDC to the head unit when on, it is the exact same thing as when the engine is turned on. When completely off, the ACC power is turned off. By letting the ACC mode ON all the time you just prevent the head unit from going to sleep or powering off completely. Nobody should let his key on the firs notch of the ignition switch as is at the risk of draining the battery in a few hours, if not having the car stolen.

Hey, I'm trying to get zlink to connect to android auto but doesn't seem to be working, it is just stuck on "waiting". I'm connected to my display via Bluetooth. Now I am trying to connect the WiFi but just a little confused. Do I need a SD card(for data), so I can hotspot and connect my phone to it?

What kinda brand is your headunit? Some of the headunits does not support Android auto. You might need to purchase an android auto USB dongle for your zlink to work.

Hey, so you also had the problem when the head unit didn't let you connect to iphone's hotspot? My head unit sees the iphone's hotspot but only saves it, doesn't let it connect for some reason. Any thoughts on that?

Yes I have! In that situation, you need to turn the headunit’s hotspot off, turn on the wifi and your phone should connect to your stereo. The reason why your your unit isn’t letting you connect to your phone hotspot is because the headunits hotspot blocks that connection when its left on. So always make sure your headunit hotspot is off when trying to connect your phone hotspot to your car stereo.

You have to use a thin object like an ear ring or a pen to press the reset button

You are right. You need to connect to the headunit’s hotspot in order for the zlink to work. When you can’t find the hotspot, restart the headunit.

No, my iphone is updated as well and zlink still works for me. Forget all the connections on your iphone and try to reconnect it.

Hey, got an issue where my CarPlay will randomly disconnect after like 20 mins of driving and most of the time it won’t reconnect automatically, when I check the hotspot has disconnected. As well as this it take around 2-5 mins for the carplay to connect when I turn the car on. Any ideas of how to get it to stop cutting out and to get it to connect first time?

The best way to fix this issue is to use a usb cable to connect instead of wirelessly connecting. The Seicane software is outdated so it doesn’t usually connect right away. If you don’t have a usb cable; another option is to turn off your phone’s Bluetooth, turn it back on and connect to the headunit.

Issue still not being resolved, the Carplay randomly cuts out and sometimes does not automatically reconnect. When I check it shows that the hotspot on the screen has turned off. Is there a way to stop it from disconnecting?

Check the hotspot timer. Sometimes it has precisely a 20 minutos auto-off.

You can connect one phone at a time. If two phones are connected at the same time. You would have to disconnect one phone in order to successfully connect to zlink.

Great comment. You can fix this by disconnecting your phone Bluetooth from the headunit. Then reconnect. The zlink should automatically connect.

I also found that if my IPhone comes out of Focus mode in the driving do not disturb setting it will also disconnect so might be a good idea to check that aswell.

I have a problem with ZLink when i try to connect for the second time. Scenario: 1st connection is always working. Then, when i leave my car (so the BT connection will drop) and get back to it after a while it will never connect back. I have to always restart my radio to connect with CarPlay again. I have a different issue with wireless CarPlay and ZLink. It connects fine but when I play music via Apple Music often it skips a second or two at songs. It's very annoying. Like the connection is lagging or something. Do you know the solution? I checked the version of ZLink and it says it's the latest and I have the latest update on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.
