Hi Zonya, I have your first Lickety-Split Meals book signed by you possible in 1998. I still used some of the recipes today. Health changes with age have renewed my interest in your tips. Eating habits have always been part of a life style for me and not a diet. What worked at 30 or 40 does not work at 70. I continue to tweet my eating selections for this new body. The video was great and I will continue to listen to more. Thanks for your teaching the joy of eating and not how to diet. I continue to make better choices for my body of today. Thanks.

I have just ran across your channel and boy are you a breath of fresh air for me. I have been doing IF for years now. I have over the past year started doing long fast even up to a 70 hour fast because I am following someone that teaches these longer fast are beneficial for your body, balancing hormones, etc....she always has scientific studies to prove her case. I am 52, I am menopausal, I have hypothyroidism and I pretty much eat what I want BUT it is mostly healthy foods. Yes, I eat fast food about once a week and I have a sweet bite every day (it is something that I have baked). My weight has stood still at 117 - 119 lbs for months. I do want my weight to go a bit lower but what concerns me is my LDL cholesterol is higher than it has ever been (173). My HDL is 107 which I see is good but then I see if it is over 100, that could be bad.....I am so confused on all this cholesterol stuff and what to eat, when to eat... My relationship to food is horrible right now....I have prayed to find an answer and I ran across this so I am hopeful. I don't even know what questions to ask, I just feel like i need a reboot but I honestly don't know how to start. Actually today I am doing a 22 hour fast. Is this good, bad, do you have any knowledge of these longer fast (advantages, disadvantages)? I know they fasted back in our ancestral days as well as Bible times so I believe we can benefit from fasting...Any videos or knowledge or insight on any of this would be appreciated?

I had cancer in 2019 and THAT was a SHOCKER. I am a professional athlete & stunt woman. I lost a LOT of weight & want to keep it down now. I am clear, PRAISE & GLORY to GOD & my team of doctors. I read & listen to soOoOoO MANY “gurus” in the FUNCTIONAL OPTIMAL HOLISTIC NATURAL health industry & I have to weed thru the BS (there is NO shortage of) AND cross reference ALL THE TIME & decipher ALL the ENDLESS CONTRADICTING intel out there. It can be like a J. O. B. trying to sift thru it all & it is VERY OVERWHELMING, but I’m on a mission. my GO 2 anti cancer fighter friends HIGHLY recommend intermittent fasting AND KETO for fighting cancer. Now, because I had rectal cancer & a temporary Ileostomy bag then a resection after chemo & radiation ….. I now deal with LARS (Low Anterior Resection Syndrome) it’s not a party BUT I am grateful to be alive and I simply face the challenges. It limits me to certain foods & I have to be VERY conscious & intentional of EXACTLY what I choose to put in my body. THAT to can contradict the HEALTHY anti cancer food choices to be made. It can get tiring trying to figure it all out. AND for the FIRST time in my life I have HIGH cholesterol & I refuse to go on MEDS. I want to get this sorted out NATURALLY. so I to stumbled onto this channel. I am searching. I wish you WELL and I hope we find our answers. 🙏🙏🙏GOD bless 🤗

Hi Zonya… I recently stumbled upon your channel and guess what…I Love It! Thank you so much for the common sense approach to diet!!!😊 Watched the video twice! Minor correction- you were talking about the Cons of the Mediterranean diet, you left out the word “Less” on point number 2.

Hi…in the past I have eaten vegan for 6 months and spent lots of time on the toilet and I became iron deficient and had a low B12 plus my hypothyroidism became worse…so I went Keto and added fats and beef back in and my labs became normal again! It’s 2 years later and eating the standard American diet and feeling bad with high insulin and almost a diabetic! I can’t do the carbs because I can’t curb my carbs! If I eat rice or pasta …potatoes…bread etc. it sends me into a spiral of wanting more! I can leave the sweets alone but forget the carbs! I do feel so content with meats and vegetables and I do not have to think about food when I stick to it. How can I implement your way without carbs🥹 thanks for your channel.

Hello, this May I will have been eating a low added sugar, low fat, whole food plant based vegan diet for 6 years. I eat lots of potatoes & whole grains. Yet, my weight is optimal. I eat a huge leafy green salad everyday. This keeps my iron levels up. I also make sure to take B12 and zinc supplements. I get a complete physical every year to make sure everything is okay. My health is excellent.

But won't plant based bring up your blood sugar and tryiglyceride levels?

What are your thoughts on Weight Watchers?
@Zonyafoco9 ай бұрын
I personally don't follow Weight Watchers, but I do have participants in my courses that have been through WW. One said she learned more in my DIET FREE livestream program than 2 years of WW. I also have WW facilitator taking my courses.

I do agree that you do lose weight with a combination of fasting and low carbohydrates keto, but if you continue with it, the body goes into starvation mode. I lost 18 pounds in 21 days of low carbohydrates keto, but I stopped after that. No weight loss to brag about after that 🤷♀️
