Not a pure reptiles house per say But the old Curiosity Caverns at Busch Gardens were my favorite, due to the cave theming Followed by Philadelphia Zoo’s Reptile House, St.Augustine Alligator Farms Komodo House, and Knoxville’s Old Reptile House, Sacramento and the Central Florida Zoo are after this

My favorite Reptile Centers are a tie between Scaly Slimy Spectacular at Zoo Atlanta & MOLA at the Fort Worth Zoo. Great tour as always Zach. Can't wait to see what's next.
@samuelb6610 күн бұрын
Not exactly a reptile house, but MOLA at the Fort Worth Zoo is easily my favorite. Great species variety, excellent modern design, has 2 amazing outdoor Crocodilian habitats (especially since they're able to breed Gharials) and also some nice interactive boards and areas for children. A close second to MOLA is The LAIR at LA Zoo. That one is fantastic as well.

MOLA is absolutely a reptile house!

I totally agree about the MOLA. I'm semi-local, and I've been to the Fort Worth Zoo a few times. I was there in October and got a great shot of their Saltwater Crocodile.

@TheBKLD Aw that's awesome! Salty is never in a great position for me to get photos. I've gotten some decent Gharial shots though! Glad to see another Fort Worth Zoo and Mola fan in the community.

Greetings from Germany, my favourite reptile exhibit is the Berlin Zoo Aquarium with has it's entite second floor dedicated to reptiles. They also show some pretty rare species like gharials, tuataras or croc monitors, and on the other two floors house a big variety of fish, amphibians and invertebrates.

I've only been to a few zoos, but I adore feathers and scales/birds and reptiles at the Brookfield Zoo in Illinois. Putting birds (which are reptiles) with the rest of the reptiles just shows a great respect for phylogeny, and I love when zoos do that.

Another awesome episode Zach! Definitely wants me to make a visit to Toledo soon and see what they have to offer. As for my favorite Reptile house probably Knoxville because of how well down everything is with the design and species list. Overall have a great day and can’t wait for the next one!

I always love your videos! I’ll definitely add the Toledo Zoo to my bucket list. My favorite Reptile house is the Saint Louis Zoo’s Herpetarium. I love how historic it looks, I love how you can see certain terrariums from multiple floors, and it has a good collection of species.

While far from being overwhelming, I like my Cincinnati hometown zoo’s reptile house. Dating back to the 19th century, it has the honor of being the oldest zoo building in the country still in use.

My favorite was the Miami Serpentarium. I’m not sure if it still exists, but it was my go-to spot every birthday. I still have pictures of them milking venomous snakes, including a 14 foot king cobra.

Great video! My favorite reptile house is the one at the National Zoo. Such a lovely variety and features uncommon species like the Cuban Crocodile. This one at the Toledo Zoo also looks really nice. I especially dig the statues of extinct reptiles!

my favourite reptile house would be the one at Zoo Antwerp, in Beligium. Despite it being a historic building of the zoo, it has a renovated interior with big and beautiful terrariums for the zoo's impressive reptile and amphibian collection. To top it all, it ends with two bangers: a Komodo dragon enclosure and a walkthrough with iguanas and tortoises

Seeing the tuatara at Toledo was a very memorable experience for me, as it is the animal that surprised me the most to see in real life. I always thought of tuataras more as rock iguana sized animals, so to see something akin to a bearded dragon is size was really unexpected!

I haven't been to a ton of zoos, and less that have a dedicated reptile house. As a New Englander (see why I haven't been to that many zoos yet?) I thought San Diego's Reptile Gardens having a bunch of fully outdoor exhibits and even having the indoor areas be open air was a novelty, but my pick would actually be Zoo Atlanta. It may be unsurprising given how new it is, but their reptile exhibit is really awesome.

My favorite reptile house that I have been to is defininetly either Knoxvilles or Atlantas. Knoxvilles has a lot of rarities and is very well drawn out. Atlantas is also very drawn out and has rarities but I think it takes the cake out of the two just because of the size and amazing interior work.

So not strictly a reptile house but Henry Doorly's Kingdoms of the Night focuses largely on reptile species and if it counts then that's my favorite. If it needs to specific to reptiles then I guess I'll go with San Diego. And Saint Louis also has a super cool reptile house because the collection is good and the architecture comes from the old World's Fair so it looks like an ancient Greek relic.

My favourite reptile house would have to be the Secret Life of Reptiles and Amphibians at Jersey zoo which has very naturalistic vivariums with some of them housing more than one species of herptile such as housing an emerald tree boa with golden poison dart frogs and strawberry poison dart frogs. They also house some species of herptile that aren't usually seen in captivity such as lesser Antillean iguanas, mountain chicken frogs, ploughshare tortoises and Telfair's skinks.

Also, here are 5 zoo trivia questions for you & your girlfriend.... 1) How many years ago did the Honolulu Zoo originally house American Alligators? 2) Do you wish for the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium to house giant anteaters in their Lied Jungle attraction? 3) Which zoos in America are known to house European Rabbits? 4) How many new elephants do you want the Oakland Zoo to welcome in the future? 5) What year did the old California Academy Of Sciences' Steinhart Aquarium once exhibited a Port Jackson Shark? I've seen the Tuatara at the Dallas Zoo, which is my local zoo. The reptile house there leaves much to be desired, in my opinion. The species list is decent (at least it was when I was last there), but it just feels dated and not even in a good way. It's not a high priority stop in the same way that, say, the MOLA at the Fort Worth Zoo is.
