Judy's parents say she has 275 brothers and sisters when they're trying to convince Judy to be a carrot farmer at the beginning.
@OpticalSorcerer2 күн бұрын
Given that bunnies still procreate like that, I assume violence against them is still pretty high, and it's quite possible that their population isn't that big (in terms of families that is, maybe 50-100. If they're all like Judy's family, that's less than 30,000 rabbits). Plus it's possible the Earth is a lot bigger in this world.

super good theory You are very smart
@brianachim26702 күн бұрын
There’s no way their world is bigger than ours but yeah those bunnies need to stop multiplying.😂
@JasperMuncy2 күн бұрын
Yeah but that would mean that a lot of the stuff shown in this movie would not be possible simply based off the fact that it would get pulled down by gravity by an increased size in the world
@JasperMuncy2 күн бұрын
It would make a little more sense for it just to be at there's more land mass and it's about like a 50 50 between oceans and the land and that overall the world is just a lot more productive and resources
@OpticalSorcerer2 күн бұрын
@JasperMuncy I doubt most people would consider gravitational pull in terms of a larger planet (as long as it isn't brought up, at least), though I do agree about the second part.

Honestly, how does the economy work here? Like the quality and quantity as well as the import and exports. Do little mammals pay the same rate as the bigger ones, and whats the pay like?
@OpticalSorcerer2 күн бұрын
@@zahwon6351 I'm pretty sure bigger ones have to pay more, but given that that's not something they can control, perhaps it's not outrageously different from smaller animals, or alternative products have been made to cater to them that don't use up the same amount of resources.
@firmansyahputra26372 күн бұрын
I think it's likely that the bigger your animal, the less you pay in taxes

Am I misremembering? Or isn't there a scene in which Judy's parents mention her 270+ siblings? Also I assume it wouldn't just be rabbit populations going crazy. Most small rodents (eg. Mice and Rats) reproduce just as fast or faster.

The movie was well received when it came out and yes over the years for some odd reason it got not a bad reputation, but a weird reputation. I don't even know exactly why, I liked it pretty good. Was it perfect? No, but it was good. Fresh ideas in it for that time. Maybe the viewpoint on it changed b/c society changed. IDK, but end of the day at bare minimum this was a good movie.

@@OpticalSorcerer I respect all opinions. I do not hold it in that high of a regard, but when I saw it I felt it was very good now I see it was just good for sure. Look if someone asked me if they should seee it I would not hesitate at all to give them a strong 👍🏻 .
@OpticalSorcerer2 күн бұрын
@@DominickSpano Totally fair! While I'm biased towards Disney's musicals (well, when they're good; "Wish" and "Moana 2" were not), they emotions and messages for Zootopia really felt impactful and complex, especially with Judu's implicit bias and Nick being the stereotypical jaded male lead actually had origins within the theme of the film.
@DominickSpano2 күн бұрын
@OpticalSorcerer I agree the messages were complex and I left the moviehouse semi wowed by it. I guess part of the reason I don't rate it as high was the third act and twist villian were sort of mid and it dragged a little bit between the second and third act. I think the strength of the movie was the topics and characters (I am a big Jason Bateman fan). End of the day it was a good movie. Insert all of your feelings for the movie as how I feel with Frozen probably due to the age and where I was in my life when I saw it. Someone can argue as I am saying here Frozen was just good and they wouldn't really be 'wrong' (I put wrong in air quotes b/c these are all subjective opinions). The bottom line is Zootopia for sure 👍🏻. I would really love to see a sequel that blows me away and that Zootopia Disney+ series was fun, especially the waitress segment. P.S.: I know it is a cartoon, but Nick was magically exonerated for years of tax evasion at the end and was able to be a cop. WTF. That always just made me laugh, but again, it is a cartoon so don't take it overly seriously.

Being reminded of overfishing is always depressing. Like, objectively I am aware that thanks to conservation efforts and fish farming that many populations are recovering, but it's still upsetting to think about.

No, reptiles are being introduced to the world of Zootopia. But it worries me that if they eventually give sapience to all classes of animals, then what are they going to eat?!

@lasseehrenreich5502 Sure, but that's reserved for the herbivorous mammals and reptiles. I'm just saying if they make more animals sapient, like Birds and Amphibians, it would be eliminating more potential food sources.
