I get what your saying but think about it, if the emotions are in Riley’s head, then the portions would be really small, so technically it would just be a bunch of little portions of one energy drink (which is still a lot for anxiety)

the theory i looked at on how riley brain could be contacted by her dad 's brain that Riley found out about her dad's dream at some point after the incident; either from casual conversation with her parents or overhearing them discussing it. Regardless, he was probably disappointed that his amazing dream was so suddenly cut short, and so that would cause Riley to subconsciously feel guilty about it. Jean claiming that "the other studios were angry" was just Dream Production's hyperbolically Hollywood-based way of saying "Mom and Dad are angry

My theory, there is an Empathy emotion, or department, somewhere, and it is specifically Empathy that contacts other minds and relays info based on what they got. The more empathetic someone is, the more Empathy is contacting the minds around them, and the bigger the crew is that Empathy may have.

My headcanon is that the little "mind workers" are more like Cells and the food that we see is the nutrients that was obtained by the food we consume. It could also explain Xeni and how they're related to the boss as a cell can divide. It isnt a one to one and cant explain everything but it its what ive got.

When the show has the lil blobs in Riley's head knowing what her dad dreamed of, I felt like either enough time had passed, Riley was told by her father what he was dreaming about if he asked her what she was dreaming about and wanted to share s well (off camera stuff - tbh I don't remember exactly when after the incident the lady dropped the info on her dad's dream), OR that part was referencing how people can "connect", "swap" or "share" brain cells, thus making it possible for information to be shared between close individuals "telepathically".

so i know for me, when it comes to the little neurons' ages and families, i headcanon that they show up in the mind very similarly to the emotions. they pop into existence and have an awareness of their mental age, what it is they're meant to do in the mind, and also who they're related to and in what way. but anyway, absolutely love dream productions and the inside out franchise; i'd love another spin-off exploring how pixar sees the brain society c:

I hope we get another spin off series that’s similar to the Baymax one. Every episode falls the emotions and such inside the minds of a different person from a different walk of life. They could introduce new kinds of emotions or concepts that manifest through these other life experiences, even taking a step closer into mental health like the first movie did

I also really like brave , monsters University ,finding dory ,cars 3 , coco incredibles 2 and toy story 4 🎉🎉🎉🎉and dream productions is the best pixar spin-off series ❤️ 💙 💖 😀 and I do think that sense Reily's parents are the ones gave her birth that it would make sense that some of her body parts or parts of her mind in this case can communicate to each other ❤❤❤and I did also thought that it was very interesting that her cells aka mind workers can have families which does makes sense given how we have alot of cells 🤔🥰

I've been thinking about what you've said and I have a bit of a theory I could be half right I could be completely right or I could be not right at all, but I have two theories I don't know if any of them are right or not but we know that within the world of Pixar, for those of us who subscribed to the Pixar theory we know that different films take place inside of one universe, so here's what I think could be happening based on that either my first theory is that these little beings inside of Riley's head are doing what's known as lucid dreaming you know when you dream but you can control your dream and you know how people say that on top of lucid dreaming that sometimes they're able to go into other people's dreams and have a shared dream where you're able to have a dream that involves other people Well what if what's happening with the mind here in the world of inside out and if you subscribe to the Pixar theory the greater world within this universe, it could be that in that world it's not just that you share dreams with people working into peoples dreams it's that your consciousnesses can connect to one another when you're dreaming or maybe even not when you're dreaming maybe it's daydreaming and sleeping because if you remember in Seoul which I think is a great Connection from the Pixar franchise that really helped with the Pixar theory like it's a great inclusion in terms of a movie I know not everybody likes it but I think it's really good and I think it explains a lot of plot holes for movies like this as well as other movies within the Pixar universe so for soul There is a part of that movie and this is my second theory there is a part of that movie where people can slip into this lucid dreams state where they can see their soul and each person on earth has their own soul but a lot of people speculated that in the fourth toy story film Woody finally got a soul when he left Bonnie and went on his own because he just seems more alive than the other toys and he seems like he has a greater purpose and he seems like he's more Aware of things that the other toys just aren't by the time we get to the end of the fourth film, the super Collin Brothers actually made theory on that as well, but what I'm saying is that for soul I think because you can essentially lucid dream and kind of be in this river world I think that soul is proof that different souls can lucid dream because there was that one guy who was awake the whole time and was aware of the soul universe where other people would just go to that universe while they were essentially daydreaming so I think when you dream you go into that soul world and connect with other souls and by doing that you're somehow able to connect to other people and have this weird kind of connected dream but your dreaming your own dreams at the same time and yes I know what I'm saying gets really complicated or it might seem complicated but what I'm just trying to say is that I think both of my two theories both that Riley is able to connect to her parents through essentially like a joint dream lucid dreams situation as well as like how this connects to soul and like everything was shown in that film explaining why this whole connection thing as possible, because when it comes to other things like you said the characters having children and all of that I'm not really sure how to explain that it might just be things that happen in the mind you know ideas come together and that creates a child like the point of Pixar is that it takes things that are happening in our head and makes them fun and a little bit silly and explains them for children essentially in a way that children can understand and that their parents can explain things to them so I mean I'm not a psychologist I don't really know whatlittle bean people having kids means in terms of your brain and what it's doing but my guess would be something along the lines of the different experiences that Riley's having from watching movies and just living her life she's slowly learning things and so the people inside her head are as well and they're able to connect to her parents and learn things from her parents through her like soul visiting them in that soul world and maybe what happens inside a person's head within the Pixar theory is similar to what happens with people's souls where they have like this kind of community inside their head as well as in the sole universe, maybe when Riley grows up she'll want to be a director or maybe these are just things that she's interested in and that's why a lot of them just keep creating different things, I don't know but all of that stuff aside just purely based on what I said earlier about how Riley's consciousness can connect to her parents consciousness and chat to them I think that is explained through the movie soul and that either one thing or two things are happening, either she's able to kind of lucid dream and that allows her to kind of control things inside her mind like her subconscious is creating all these people I should say like they're born from her subconscious just like everything else in her head to help it run and then on the other side those people can connect to other people or other people's brains cause their souls are all connected, maybe if they make a soul too they'll be able to explain more of this, but anyway that's just my interpretation of it or my guess as to what's happening here, I don't know about all the other stuff but just purely based on the consciousness is being able to communicate with each other and being able to dream in a way where you're kind of awake or being able to sleep walk or that kind of stuff I think could all be explained by what happens in soul. Also sorry for any spelling mistakes or missed out words, I use speech to text because I'm visually impaired and I learn words through hearing them not through spelling them so when I speak into my phone and it changes what I say into words sometimes it doesn't quite understand the words I'm saying and so we'll just make a rough guess and just write down what it thinks it hears, but hopefully my comment makes sense and you understand what I'm trying to say.

I think contact between brains has something to do with genes. Since we are a mix of both parents genes so it feels like after splitting they still have contact with each other but only among blood family so no brain connections between brains BUT parents brains can't connect bc they are a mix of genes from their parents not each other. That would explain frustration when couples fight and can't connect hints bc their brains can't can't call each other for info. It only goes to their kids and parents but not between parents.
