Hi. Unfortunately I've noticed that the CC is out of time. Unfortunately I can't now sort it as I've scrubbed the video and can't get it back in editing. The CC is early so hope it make sense. Sorry.
So removing the carburettor. Removing the Dynojet main jet and replacing them with kiehin 160 jets in the middle and 157.5 on the outers making the top richer.
Removing the needle and adjusting the clip up one so leaner in the middle.
Then reinstalling the carb.

Why do you like the standard spring over the one's that come in the kit?

Dave at the dyno where I take, told me the springs are to weak and causing fluttering at midrange. If you put in a dyno jet spring and push the vacuum up and then do a standard one the standard spring is stronger.

Hiya I am the person who has got the J1 zx6r that wouldn't start. When I tried to start it previously it spluttered and back fired fired for a few seconds then staled .. now theres nothing. So I got a service kit. New oil oil filter spark plugs and so,, i have got as far as getting the tank off and air box the trouble I am having is trying to get the ccaarbs off. I know I have got to undo the 4 jubilee clips of but the Philips screw wont budge... do i need the proper screwdriver screwdriver for Japanese bikkes instead of a normal Philips screwdriver i am worried that it will mess the freds up

Hi. On both my J1 and A1P those screws have a 3mm Allen head. I purchased a long reach one to make it alot easier. Now if yours are Philips heads they may have been changed ie not original as all the ones I've come across are Allen heads. Yes you may need a JIS set of screwdrivers but something that fits well in the head so you don't bur the head. Take your time and don't rush. Thanks Tim.

If you explained why you removed the 130's and 132's like the Dyno jet kit said to install back to the 157's I guess I missed?

Hi. No problem and thanks for question. I kinda go over it at the beginning. Because I only wanna take to dyno once I'm taking the information learnt fro the A1P I have which has all the same mods and had a dyno jet kit installed. On the A1P dyno jet provide 136 main jets. After being on the dyno it showed these main jets are too learn ( went to 160 klein) on top end and the clip middle position throttle to rich, so moved clip 1.5 up from middle. So taking that info across to the J2 and kinda guessing where to go I changed main jets and adjusted clips. After running on the dyno I had gone to far on mains so brought down and had not gone enough on middle clip so moved up one more. Hooe that helps.

Hi. Thanks for the questions. I'd try Fowlersparts for all original stuff. I'm on the forums, 98-02 Kawasaki zx6r only on Facebook. When you say problem with the diaphragm, is it split, mis-shaped, faulty. You can get used ones on ebay and on the forum there is a guy who runs a breakers called MY Motorcycle. Brilliant guy and super helpful for parts you can't purchase anymore. Thanks Tim.

For some reason those are labeled and called ZZR around here, but then again Kawasaki didn't make it clear, or so it seems.

Yeah in UK these are ZX6R. Plus we have the ZZR600 which I believe is the same frame, engine and main stuff with totally different bodywork. Its strange what the manufacturers do in different continent's.

What stage jet kit was that

Stage 1 kit. If memory is correct it's 132,134,134,132 Dyno jets fitted. You have to remember all jet manufacturers measure and profile their jets different so don't assume because the genuine ones are 155,157.5,157.5,155 that the dynojets are flowing with much less fuel. These produced the best result on the dyno and just had to adjust the clip as running rich in the middle. Thanks for the question Tim.

@@kawasakizx6r813 engine in mine is out of 2001 zx6r the carbs are from 2008 zzr600 I have the other carbs but 3 of the carbs are cracked do to unscrewing that long screw down center carbs to take the throttle cables out screws it back in cracked old ones

I'm probably going clean carbs soon once I start it with choke it idles at about 1k rpm sounds like it's going to die out once it's up to warmer temp it idles up once I'm riding its good but there's times I come up to light it idles down 1k then I set there for min it pick back up to 1,500 rpm
