Hey my man… Excellent video! My car would not start and I did not have any money to get it fixed! It turned out that I was using a copy of the original key which was preventing the alarm system from turning off. I never would’ve figured that out if I hadn’t watched your video. Thank you so much!!

To reinstall just make sure to slide the hoses from the bottom and then attach the top part first. It will keep everything in place while you instal the bottom

How can I change power steering hose ? Is leaking
@probonomechanic29 күн бұрын
Hi! Do you know which specific hose is leaking? From experience they have a tendency to leak around one of the two support brackets that hold the hoses (supply hose and the return hose) to the cross under the engine. To remove the hoses, you will need to remove both bottom skidplates under the engine. Usually hold in place by eight 13mm bolts (mine was a mix of 12mm, 13mm, and a 14mm bolts that was installed by the previous owner) After that you need to put a container to catch the fluid since you will remove the clip holding return hose to the reservoir. Vicegrip or a good pair of plyers will do the work. But you may need a good flat screwdriver to find the tip of the hose connected at the reservoir and twist the screwdriver while using the vicegrip on the clip. Work it both at the same time while doing a downward pressure. After a while it will disconect itself. For the pump hose, just beside the one for the reservoir. A 15mm wrench should fit. It will be a tricky situation and you may need some penetrating oil to make it move. Soak it as much as possible. It may happen that a part of the nut turns but the hose will try to turn with it. If after a lot of time and soaking the whole hose wants to turn with it, you may have no choice but to cut the hose close to the nut and just remove it all. WARNING after you remove the nut with the cut hose you may find out that you remove the connector nut of the pump. So you will need yo use a 1" 1/8 wrench to hold the connector nut and at the same time use a 15mm wrench to hold the hose nut. Then try to unscrew them to the side. On it is done check the o-ring of the connector nut of the pump to make sure it is in good shape. Then we will move to under the engine. There is 2 brackets holding the hoses in places on the cross under the engine. Both are located on each side the cross (from the left side of the engine and right side of the engine) and they are hold in place by a 10mm bolt. You will need to soak both of them with penetrating oil. And use a small 1/4" ratchet to be able to access them. It will be really tight to reach. Once both bolts are removed. You got one last 10mm bolt to remove. If you follow that cross under the engine and move in line with the batteries you will see over the cross at an angle both hoses connecting to the streering column. That 10mm will be the hardest to reach if you don't have an extension for your 1/4" ratchet. You will have about 3" of space to turn it. Once it is remove, it release the plate holding the hoses in place. You will need to find a way to use a screwdriver and an hammer to turn the plate to release one of the hose clip in place. Once it is done, change the hose, make sure to install new o-ring and reinstall. By doing the whole process backward. If you give me about an hour from right now, I can make a quick video on the channel to show you.
