Gute Besserung. Viel Schlaf hilft zur Erholung!

Sorry to hear about the migraine. My daughter gets the exact same, so I recognised it when you were describing what happened. Have you had an eye test lately? Maybe some eye strain caused the migraine?

I have also migraines with aura after after big sessions. It's really a pain in the ass but with a medicine called "Triptans" you can avoid the horrible headache if you take it just at the end of the aura phase.

a few loose thoughts (just my 2cts): 1. it depends on the conditions 2. your comparison is a bit flawed because of your different levels of practice: from what I see your a beginning intemediate freeride wingfoiler and an expert slalom windsurfer... so of course you're gonna miss what you're best at 3. windsurfing can be fairly compact: 1freestyle (or wave-board) and 3 sails 2 mast and a boom wil get you a long way too. 4. if you're really into winging you won't just take one wing to a spot with varying wind conditions... Cheers!

A Magic Beanie that transports you to a warmer and sunnier place! You can charge 1,000 euros each. Can it also make me a better windsurfer? Glad to hear at the end that your eye migraine was ok and not something more serious. Another great video!

Yeah, I have had those types of migraines. You see light fragments like triangular shapes in a prism like multicoloured band. The band stays for awhile and then eventually dissipates. Go and get a full blood work test. Unlike a normal migraine all you feel is a tight band across the top of the head. I suggest reducing your screen time and generally improve your sit down time with regular breaks and walks. Most athletes are not sit down types and we then do bouts of high intensity to compensate for the sedentary life we lead in the office. A stand up desk will also help. I never sit down anymore. It’s the combination of the office and sports. Neon lights, office screens etc. in short, you might want to consider a more active lifestyle that does not use the screen as much.

Ophthalmic migraines are scary because of the temporary loss of focus in your eye sight. The triggers are not easy to point out but it could include excessive stress, anxiety or excitement but also sudden changes in luminosity (like during a summer day when the sun pokes through on and off a sea of small puffy clouds or when driving along a row of trees when the sun filters through and creates this flashing effect). Symptoms can range from mild headache to severe migraine, and can include hypersensitivity to light, sound and odors, and can go as far as the temporary loss speech or incoherent speech. Sever cases like that require a visit to a medical professional. I had this kind of migraine since I was 18 but with time (I’m now 60!), the frequency and severity has gone down significantly. Good luck to you.

I get those types of migraines since I was a teenager, they happen once every 3 months more or less, and is horrible. In my case I usually loose my sight for about an hour, but even knowing how it is, it’s always scary when you loose your sight. I hope it won’t become recurrent for you. Love your videos

Check with your osteopath or physiotherapist if you have any tension in your neck. This could be one of the causes of your migraines.

Occular migraine I’ve had them out of the blue , Some people see funny zig zigs flashing patterns in their peripheral vision . I had this. You can also get severe headaches after but not always. Oh I see others said the same. I had mine on a stressful day of work, but it was no necessarily worse than others. Weird.

Sounds like the same type of migraine I get every now and then, especially after big weather changes or cold weather conditions. What works best for me is feed in hot water to get the blood flow going (not scientifically backed but works for me) and an over the counter medicine called Dolomin Extra. While I live in Australia my parents send me a pack of Dolomin once a year from Germany. Main cause, as far as I understand is a reduced blood flow to your brain through your neck. Alles Gute!

Wasser statt Kaffee!

Hey Mario, i had the exact same thing after session wingfoiling. Did the same things and the doctor also said it was eye migraine. But i can give you a tip. Try to go to a physiotherapist. Its possible you have a muscle or nerve that is blocked. My solution was dry needling. Good luck and keep up the good work 🤙🏻🇧🇪🚀

The first time I had an ocular migraine i was driving and cars in front of me disappeared. Thought i was going blind. Sight came back and the headache came. The next time it happened i was with students and there heads disappeared. I figured out my sight in the middle disappears first then slowly moves to the periphery. Their heads came back and their bodies disappeared! Crazy seeing heads floating around the room! Haven't had one in a long time.

Optical migraine episode, sometimes with headache, sometimes not. I get it sometimes, and when I do it can come back over a few days like waves, up to 24 hours apart. I get episodes a few times a year. Usually happens in spring or fall for some reason for me. Windsurf on!

If you are starting to get eye migrane, go to a dark room and lie down and rest for 30-60 minutes and it usually goes away . I can get this if i get into big temperature diffrences.. like doing sauna for a long time. Sounds like a typical migrane with aura. Also have some give your neckmuscles a massage
