The sensation is on a regular fin much better. Foiling looks very stiff and boring.

Did you try foiling?

Porto Pollo is one of my favorite windsurfing spots in the Med. I stayed at hotel La Vecchia Fonte in Palau. Really nice hotel and town. I can recommend.

mit den alten shapes musste man auf jeden fall noch surfen können, heute kann das jeder (wenn man sich so nen teuren shit leisten kann)

Nice, but you should have compared wingsurf vs windsurf (i.e. without the foil) to see how that compares. Hope to see you do inflatable wingsurf review since that makes traveling so much easier, probably the easy most compact way to get on the water.

Great video, Mario. I am looking for a cheap and simple GPS waterspeed watch. The one You show in the video looks perfect for me. What is the name of it; price and where to get it?.

Great Video Mario! Very analytic. Helped me a lot in improving my jibes. When it comes to the aspect of "vision forward" I think learning to juggle with 3 or 4 balls helps us improve the ability to separate vision from hands.

in the end its about fun on the water. In light winds I now go wingfoiling, and in high winds windsurfing on a fin ;-)

Not so long ago the great Robby Naish said that he found foiling boring because it elevated him above the surface of the water where he got no sensation of the waves and chop.through his feet. I agree. I liked your video though, Thank You. Aloha from Hawaii.

what a shit of skies. Geoengineering everywhere. Full of videos of sailing all around world and sailors not observing whats happening over their heads.... Too much concentrated on tecnologies and their passions and very few awareness about it

"x is the ultimate in y", for example "gliding is the ultimate in windsurfing" is how you could put the königsdisziplin thing ("the king's discipline" would be more like "die Disziplin des Königs"). thank you so much for explaining. hoping for good wind for all of us to keep giving this a try until it works out for everyone 😀

Good race and placing. I have Point 7 variable QR harness lines. I think they are very good. The only thing I have trouble remembering is how to attach them to the boom when I have to change them over. I also really like the safety feature where you just pull the yellow part towards you to get free if you go under the sail and can't release from the harness lines. I really like your racing footage!

Really great to be able to follow you through races -- great commenting. To me as a beginner, you have been mainly a teacher, but I enjoy to see this side too. The commercial information is actually great info too. Good stuff all of it 😉🙏💪

To me it wouldn't really matter if the flat board goes a little faster than the foil, because with the foil it's so much smoother and more comfortable.
@JPN-k6c3 күн бұрын
yep, foil wins 100% of the time and all the old folks need to accept this and move forward. it's only natural that a sport like windsurfing is always making progress when it comes to gear. why hold on to the past and only accept the standard from 20 years ago as the best? why not go even further and still use some woodplank as the surfboard and leaves as the sail like some ancient tribe used to do hundreds of years ago? I mean, it was good for them, why shouldn't it be good for us now? just accept that foils are the next logical step in the advancement of all kinds of surf gear, be it windsurfing, kitesurfing or normal surfing. foils excel at just about everything. and foils might not even be the end all be all, always be open to improvements in technology.
