Hannover war einmal schön, unter dem neuen OB verkommt es immer mehr. Läden schließen und die Parkplätze werden immer weniger. Nachts ist Hannover zu einer gefährlichen Stadt geworden , Note 5 -

Video tries to convince how Europe looks like comparing to US. You lived in two countries which are not that representative for whole europe. It’s like saying I know how US works after visiting WY and IL. It doesnt work like that. Visit more EU countries and you will see it’s different than in ES or DE. You need to understand EU first to compare it. You can eventually compare State you know to country you visited, not whole EU.
@MYTravelBF6 күн бұрын
Yes, obviously there are vast differences between areas in the US, just as there are in the EU. Just speaking based on our experiences. Thanks for watching!

Religion is always optional in school. When i was studying long time ago you could always choose between Religion or Ethics. Most important part of the people were chosing the second, as Religion is Spain has been declininng for decades. Most of the population are atheist or Agnostic. I checked what they learn in the US during secondary school, and i found many differences. I can not understand that in the US they dont teach things like matrices, second-degree equations or differential calculus with integrals. They only learn that in university, which i think is scant. In history they only learn recent northamerican history, and they ignore almost everything about the rest of the world, the same with geography. They dont teach phylosophy and so. I found that the education in the US is too much based in works, with no exams. Works are ok, but memorizing is also important as base of knowledge. I think thats why in general the cultural level is not high because after the secondary school they have learnt only the basics to live, but not a complete good packed education.

Actually cars have to stop at a Zebrastreifen, if a pedestrian wants to cross. It costs at least 80 Euros And a point in Flensburg. But you are right, a lot off drivers don't stop
@MYTravelBF8 күн бұрын
We know they are supposed to stop, but oftentimes they don't. It's a lot better than in the US though where they almost never stop and pedestrians are an afterthought.

The reason for early closing is they want to have the employees the have their evenings off
@MYTravelBF8 күн бұрын
That makes sense. Is it the businesses wanting to close early for the employees to have time off or the government saying they have to? It was more annoying when we first moved here, but we got used to it after a while.

I don't get your first point. You are complaining about the german "system" you don't understand. Well, surprise, that's the thing about moving abroad: each country has its own, more or less intricate system to make things and life work. Chances that this one is different from the system in your country you're from tend to be, let's say, very high. Moreover, the Germans have a "system" that makes things particularly efficient but you don't get it immediately and don't see how it works? Nobody deigns to explain it to you. and you have to discover it on your own ? Now that's truly an offense, how dare they ?
@MYTravelBF8 күн бұрын
Haha it's not offensive to us. It's more the lack of digitalization in the German systems that make it inefficient. They work, but take far longer than what would be expected in 2025.

They used to have different mugs every year, I got quite the collection, but not so much the last 5 years. I shall continue to bug my mother about it to bring that tradition back. Mostly the market stays the same every year, only with slight changes. Maybe it’s a good thing, I would be depressed if I didn’t get a chance for my yearly Knobi Brot.
