I've been rewatching this series yet again and I just want to repeat just how stunningly beautiful your videos are. The shots of things launching are gorgeous, and the scenes of satellites simply hanging in the black of space or screaming into orbit have a feeling of pure awe. Everything is simply incredible. The music choice is excellent too, and only brings out that awe and wonder even more.

16:13 The FBW (Flight by wire) is a system where the astronaut (in this case, because it is also used in planes) sends a movement input to a computer, the computer processes the input and executes the order. Since the information is processed by a computer can be avoided dangerous maneuvers and also help the astronaut driving the spaceship. PD: English isn't my maternal language, sorry if I wrote something wrong.

Freaking RGB plumes. Also, I really love the energy of the Trinity VI segment. It's like Apollo 13 on crack. Not only is failure not an option, it's not even in the vocabulary. Edit: "Well, well, well, if it isn't the consequences of my own actions."

In aviation, caging the attitude indicator stops the gyro from moving. I don't know how the Mercury autopilot worked, but perhaps the indicator was the brains of the whole operation. So when you caged it, the RCS continued getting the last commands you were giving it before caging. I think that's why you were spinning out.

I honestly hoped that the devs would add the Soviet missions to the sim. Although I do remember reading that the Soviet spacecraft were more automated than the American ones. When Yuri took humankind's first spaceflight, he didn't really have much to do in terms of actually flying the vehicle. Scientists didn't know how the mind would be affected by the rigors of spaceflight, and there was some concern that Yuri might go completely bonkers. He had a code to be able to get control of the Vostok, but he didn't need to use it.
@N9GamingOfficialАй бұрын
That's fascinating! The developer has been working on Vostok actually :)

And now, the United States Space Force will instead be founded in the early 70s and the Final Frontier will become a new front of international competition. I am aware about Beardy's comment about there not being a Space War in the series, but I could definitely see both sides in this alternate Cold War forming militarized space programs to run in parallel to their civilian programs and that being a detail in the back ground going forward.

Have you had trouble with trying to "requesting a plane change burn"? When doing "Missions" - "Project Gemini" - "Scenarios" - "Agena Docking", this starts from launch then circulize orbit, then after my orbit is circular, I try to request a plane change burn of 28.91 degrees but I get no response at all. I get catch up burn info & rendezvous info but no plane change response. Have you had this problem with this? Thank you very much!

10/10 episode in my books. They're all so good it's hard to say whether it's the best overall, but it's definitely had the best editing of the series so far. The episode before it is a close second!
