I can't get into any non-Fromsoft soulslikes. They're all so clunky and lack soul. This game is no exception sadly.

There's something really funny about how these guides are all written with the same tone, no matter who the author is, or what site they were posted on.

I find ds3 boring. Its missing some sort of magic that the first 2 had. I dont find it interesting to spend hours on bosses trying to perfect dodge timing. ds1 and ds2 despite their flaws had interesting worlds to explore and were not so oppressively drab and difficult.

6 bullet points for NG+... to be fair there is a lot less setup for NG+ than NG. You already have the weapons, hunters tools, upgrade mats, if you used cummm chalice you're basically max level. That guide has you cheesing half the bosses so its not like you need updated strats for the higher leveled bosses.

To be fair to Gamefaqs guide guy, He said to kill all the npcs "If" you weren't going to do their quests. Which makes sense the NPCs all do have okay drops if you don't care about keeping them for later. But I think they author assumed most people would be trying to do the quests their first playthrough
