I actually feel that Caroline Bliss is really underrated as Moneypenny, and further wish she had had a more prominent role in the films in which she appeared. Not that I had any intentions of checking out her Barry Manilow collection, of course.

Love how she tries to maintain the "Daphne" with that contrived "Eton by way of Cape Cod" accent, but that underscores the Anglophile in all the Bond women.

The Walther always mildly annoyed me. A British agent should pack British iron (or at least an ally. A Belgian FN maybe? A US Browning?) The German piece just never sat well.

1:650 kill Ratio Yikes that’s very impressive. Even thought it could probably go on forever if there are new James Bond movies because the main character James Bond isn’t supposed to die. : /

An often overlooked little gem from these scenes is that the actor who tries to cut in when Silvia Trench is playing cards is the same actor in Goldeneye who nods his approval at 25:58 to Bond, brilliant little cameo.

Aside from the blatantly overlooked Vargas death, some of these seem rather dubious not just on the grounds that they could be at most serious injury rather than confirmed kills but the fact there was nothing necessarily lethal in what was done to them. The fat black dude he kicks into the canister in _Live and Let Die_ or the SPECTRE divers who have their hoses cut aren’t really killed. That’s more of a disarming/dispatching than a straight up kill since the dude is just stuck in a tube and the grunts are just forced to surface. By the logic of some of these entries, the 2 goons in _A View to a Kill_ that catch Bond and Tibbett in the chip room would count for the way they were taken out as well. Now, shouldn’t Boris’ death count by proxy since the tanks blew because of all Bond did to the cradle facility both with his exploding pen and jamming the positioning gears?

The problem with Judi Dench is she has never had her entire office, desk, furnishings, wall paintings--and all of Moneypenny's as well--moved to the cargo area of a C-130 or a good third of the usable crew space on a submarine just to give a 30 second mission briefing.

Kill count 73 could have survived as he was on fire but put himself out. Just because we never see him again doesn’t mean he died.
@ChaseMC2156 күн бұрын
Oh no, he's definitely dead. The fire burned him, but that's not what killed him
@matthewsalazar35756 күн бұрын
@@ChaseMC215 So what did then?
@ChaseMC2153 күн бұрын
@@matthewsalazar3575 This is where the irony comes into play. It's actually the water that did him in. That's right, with 3rd degree burns, your cartilage will melt due to the extreme heat and your joints will fuse. Jumping into the cold water will NOT help at all as your body will go into shock, causing you to be confused, and as such you won't be able to save yourself and you will essentially drown from your injuries.
