One problem with so-called Traditional Karate is they make Kata the test for black belt and other ranks. The only reason I'm not a black belt, hell the only reason I'm not at least 4th Dan is because I kept failing the Kata portion of the black belt test. I was already fighting at 4th Dan fighting standards and could beat two second dans in a 1vs2 handicap match. I think Grand Master Choki Motobu would be disgusted at the way Kata is prioritized over fighting ability in traditional martial arts. It's why very few "Karate" fighters excel in MMA.
For this step ...🤔 Not now. Bonne journée ! Excellence Bertrand JAILI.

Bon,.

Hello Jaillet Sensei! I appreciate learning and watching how you present some technical aspects of Tekki Shodan. I was just wondering about the counting of the kata. It is different on how I have learned it. It is your own personal counts or is it coming from a JKA instructor from Headquarters? Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
