Interesting to hear about the protein break down. At 68 I've raised my intake of good protein to help maintain muscles and my digestion is not functioning well. I do use HLC and bile with protein meals though, which helps. Hmmm.

TMI. Again, all this actually is disconnected from my actual life. Dudes! Simplify this. It’s not a competition how much you know. Connect our cells to the everyday life I am living. . I really enjoyed this interview. If I understood Mike correctly, he mentioned a 2 to one 1 between carbs and protein. I could never get there based on my current macros (60 to 70% carb, 15 to 20% fat, 15 to 20% protein). I eat between 300-350 g of carbs per day. So with a two to one ratio between carbs and protein, means I would need to have 150 to 175 g of protein per day. Never gone that high. Maybe I need to go higher on the fat, no less than 20% per day.

@@TheMindfulMovementinMotion pretty well. I used to be vegan high carb lowfat, but that was too restrictive. I have upped fat and still eat mostly Whole Foods plant based but now with more fat and some animal protein (eggs, cheese, fish, bison). I do like nuts, but I don’t do the Pufa oils.

I would love to ask Dr Perry- I know what the anatomy books say but do you really think the lymph with all the garbage/waste it carries really dumps into the clean blood where the body works 24/7 to keep it clean and to maintain the proper pH balanced ? Thank you

I’m curious about my tongue position? I have always held my tongue along the roof of my mouth. As a child, the dentist called it “tongue thrusting” and, that it was undesirable! I wonder if people who already hold their tongue on the roof, have a better lymph flow?

Since doing the big six, I have a bowel movement at least 3 times a day. I have IBS. I think this really is helping me. Who knew? I know that jumping on my trampoline each day and having a green smoothie has been very helpful to keep the attacks down. Trampolines help the lymphatic yet no doctor told me that clearing the lymph nodes would help my stomach pain. Thank you for your passion.

The science seems sound but being on this 8 months has just led to more stress in compliance. I started this for more variety in my diet and eating more freely but now find myself even more restricted in my food choices.
