Above the 200kg WET would be painfully heavy for me, too bad because from the spy shots, it looks like a very nice motorcycle.

Hello, what do you think of the lightweight Kove 800X pro ?
@martyn_g8 сағат бұрын
I’d have this over a 450MT. It’s waaaaayyy lighter, more travel. And the 450MT revs its tits off at 100kph anyway. So the DRZ having only 5 gears is irrelevant in the comparison.

This poor guy is the perfect example why you should never get married. Imagine when his wife changes and starts giving him sh1t. But his moto is "happy wife happy life" just pathetic.

I have GT650 and Hunter 350. I like smaller bikes. Tried both 411 models, that engine was just no go. My 350 J engine in the Hunter is a thing of beauty. A 350 Himalayan could have been sweet. Updated chassis and dashboard, try to keep it as light as possible. Probably would be a commercial flop, how can you go down in displacement........Anyways, I ended up with the MT450.

What's so special about spoked wheels? I've seen that a point in a few videos by different people

Tks for the review. I'm on my way to buy one of the tigers, the rally pro probably but there seems to by one big disadvanture. Is it true that when changing from tarmac to gravel, road- to offroad mode, one has to stop the bike? Very inkonvinent inconvenient

Have you seen the new CCM Project X? That looks pretty cool 😎

An observation made on one of the forums is the engine has an additional row of cooling fins - so an increase in stroke? If so it's probably bigger than a 650. I think it's going to be a successful model but, in my opinion, RE needs to at least offer tubeless rims as an option.

I chose RP, just a more pleasant ride due to suspension, and no back pain even if used mostly tarmac. In other words: GT will make your back hurt because the default position is more forward. GT suspension is much harder over bumps, and I travel in Europe (last trip 12k km, 67 days, 16 countries, no motorways, but also not seeking off-road, except then sometimes routed through it for a bit by navigation which is set to avoid highways), so I need suspension to protect my butt from all those shitty roads. No matter which mode of suspension you select, RP is better. It makes sense for GT to be firmer for good road use. The only RP issue it's taller.

On looking closely rear shock looks differently placed, wondering the ease of adjustability. The needed spoked tubeless rims, if provided as accessory, will surely cost a bomb. Nevertheless was waiting for this bike since ages..

I'd stay away from Benelli, the build quality and reliability are very low...

i mean, it isnt hard to guess it will be a 650, and not a 750 these are most certainly a bike that appeals to both RE and R license holders, while the 750 would exclude the RE holders also, there is how many 650's in the royal enfield line up, loads, how many 750's none they use the engine over many line ups, and tend not to have a single engine/single line up

First time I see it. Love the retro look. I've had a 411 for 2 years and I'm still in love, but this one could be my next RE. I don't know if you mentioned it, but it looks like the windshield is adjustable. Thanks for the video!

@ROYALENFIELD Redesign the fairing #HYMALAYAN650. The appearance is poorly resolved, it looks neither retro nor modern... #redesign

With a close observation at the chassis at 11:01, the engine in the Himalayan 750/650 isn't going to be suspended inside a double cradle frame. There is a high chance that RE may go ahead with a trellis frame sort of a chassis design where the engine would be a part of the frame (similar to the Him-450). The advantage would be again less weight as compared to the existing 650s with a double cradle frame.
