Probably not much, sadly. Are you sure it's under bedrock? sometimes the game seems to say so, even if it's way way away. We see that on PC, where it says it's somewhere on the map and indicator, but it's not there.

I guess anything is possible. I didn't see that before myself, but with maps being made in one version, and later used on a server it's entirely possible the game decides to use a "new" spawn point based on updated map rendering. :)

Not working for me. After 4 hours of trying I give up. Keep getting missing method exception error on loading screen of creating a game. Went back to Vanilla and that loads but everytime I try DF same thing.

Try doing a fresh wipe of vanilla. No extra mods. Then copy the whole game folder and put DF on it. If there's a mod called 0_TFP_Harmony in there, leave it, as some overhauls require it :)

Is this for Windows 11? The file doesn't say .exe in my PC but when I launch it, the start screen is the old screen and the top half has lots of lines of text that all say expansion packs "did not apply"

It doesnt say EXE because often settings in windows hides the file type (which is so dumb, but that's windows for you :)

@@Vedui42 Thanks for the advice. I actually got it to load by going to the Discord for Khaine and downloading his version 6 file. That worked. I had been trying to use the latest file from Nexus, which is version 5.

for mining I use the Mining Helmet + Gloves and the Assasine Outfit + Boots. Also use NO Helmet Light Mod or other stuff, that makes light. Why ? Because of screamer. Pros&Cons to full mining set pro - If you are at bedbrock and you crouch while mining, you will not attract screamer, which want to dig down to you. Your visibility while mining iron will not go above 40, if the perk "From the Shadows" is at 5. Cons - You always will need both coffees, otherwise you will run out of stamina fast even with miner 69 at 5. Your tools will decrease a little faster. But to be able to mine as long as you want without attracting screamer is just beautiful (as long you are at bedrock, which is at least 15 blocks deep) Testet this myself and i dig out a hole which was a square with about 50 blocks and 4 blocks high on gamestage 300+ without attracting 1 screamer. also at the top of my cave i found 0 holes from zombies digging down to me.

If you're deep enough, any zombies up high on surface can not detect and thus won't dig yeah :) Convenient!

I don't know, how the performance is on PC, but on Console you see the blocks glitch around (not disapear when fully destroyed, making holes to out of bonds but not accessable) when the screamer start digging. only screamer do this. and when the block didn't disappear you can go in the block and look up, like in debug mode, than you see a screamer digging down. longest hole a screamer dug was about 38 blocks, on a mountain. so yeah, she still recognize me.

T6 Mining Outfit -30% stamina reduction. I can swing non-stop without losing stamina. But I also have some points into the mining skills. I don't have the exact formula of what skill levels are needed to achieve this.

Yeah :) It can help, it depends a bit on skills, tool and what armour is being used. I find I generally reach a level where without it, I do not run out of stamina anyhow so never bother with the full set and just use helmet/gloves :)

I'm suddenly finding that the occasional nose-down when pulling the nose up on takeoff - which used to only happen if it hit a passing snail or something - now happens on pretty much EVERY takeoff, and it's really annoying but NOT as annoying as no longer being able to use your nightvision. A thousand hours in beta, then boom. Sorry, you can turn you headlight on or off but you can't press the 'night vision' button ?!#$%

They pretty much nerfed ALL other actions while in a vehicle. I believe it's got something to do with the fact when you're on a vehicle, you're no longer YOUR entity... you're the vehicle entity. So it caused issues with actions. If you were playing earlier, you used to be able to eat/drink but it wouldn't give the benefit but it would consume the item. Instead of fixing, they removed it all :D

One thing which is amusing, is they made vehicles very fragile while hitting zombies. But you can crash a gyro into the ground and lose 5-10 durability at most. Or drive a car off a mountain cliff and lose a couple of points. But hitting a bunch of zombies or driving into a lamp post and your vehicle wrecks real fast ;)

I too was confused about the mining boots...why not at least protect against cave-ins to fit the theme?

I agree. Even though cave-ins are way too low damage. having 200 hp and losing 20 to a cavein isn't really serious normally. Maybe boots should be less tool degradation, and then the "full set" be chance of extra ores or diamonds or gold/silve while mining or something.

Yeah... That's the issue I have with the heavy armours - 3 of 4 sets' boots just deal with fall damage. A lot of the armor bonuses are boring and don't fit the theme of the armor.

We can hope for some rebalancing in the future. I'd like to see the full armor set bonuses reviewed, as well as individual parts to make them actually useful. And for the love of the game, make light/med/heavy based on the armor look. Ie, a t-shirt is NOT a heavy armor (miner) ... a cap with propeller (nerd hat) is NOT heavy.
