Great Review and Thanks For sharing... I'm curious as to what the differences are between Gen 2 and the 1st Version are? I've been researching and leaning towards this camera option for a while now... I want to use it for Live streaming and recording...and NOW I have a concern since you mentioned the Audio/Video sync issues while editing in Davinci Resolve??? How concerning are the sync issues while editing? Or should I maybe buy the 1st Gen and hope for the best? I really want 1080p footage at least..since it doesn't offer 4K... Your feedback is appreciated in advance.. (I'll be coming from using the Roland Aerocaster VRC 100? I believe? )

This is video is 3 years old now. I'm wondering how it has held up in the past three years. I had used two-sided tape for mine about two years ago, and it worked until we had a heat wave here in Southern California this summer. Multiple days of almost-100 heat caused the adhesive on the tape melted and my mats slipped off. So I'm looking for an alternative. I'm thinking of just screwing the mats down to the stairs. But perhaps I will give this a try first.

Great review focusing on the real features which we need, which is rare enough on KZbin these days to be mentioned as it should. Since you seem to know more than average ppl about sound, let me ask one question plz: Can the transmitter inputs also handle line levels, or just microphone levels? I'm asking because that would be great to have the extra option of recording internally (plus transmitted to the receiver) what is already amplified by a mixer system from a dedicated microphone (scenarios which happen during events such as wedding ceremonies, public talks, etc...)... Thanks for the info!

@@sparkestudio Thank you so much for your quick reply, and especially taking time for it if you’re busy. Also good to know about the firmware update addons! When mentioning the audio input, i actually meant the one at the transmitter side, which can be used for plugging a Lavalier mic. So i was wondering if instead of a Lavalier, it could be possible to connect a line audio source at this particular input (which could be relevant when the audio source to capture is already amplified by another system in the room). Why asking so, well because if the input preamp is set for microphone level only, then trying to use it as a line input may overload the input, thus providing audio distortion. I would really love to use the Lark system to replace my actual sennheiser EW100 G2 system (smaller, lighter), but if it’s not possible to plug a level input at the transmitter, then unfortunately i would have to keep them for my wedding ceremony shootings. Unfortunately this info is nowhere available, so who knows you or another user may help at this point ;-) Again, thank you for your channel which is really great!

I had trouble passing my electrical red seal exam cause I have issues understanding sentence answer questions. I will give you an example of what might relate. Great video, glad there is some new review of this on YT! I just bought three units of the Gen2 last week. The first one had arrived, but had faulty charging, also the mic did never charge or turn on (after trying all possible solutions it was clear that it is some HW issue). Emeet support was great and they are now sending me a replacement. The other two arrived later and worked fine, so I am wating for the third one to make my video review with a complete set of functioning set of three. I am most curious about the audio sync issues - I have so far noticed, that when I use the Emeet Stream on iPhone, threre is an audio lag, but with Windows version, the latency seems better. This is only a problem for live streaming, because you can sync the audio in post-production easily. Well - that syncing (multicam from SD recordings) I have to test as well, because the camera codec does not seem to have straight framerates like 24/25/30/50/60p and there is no way to set this up in pro mode. But given the price and that most of the quirks seem to be fixable with a firmware update, this is a VERY good low budget streaming setup!

Thank you for the great video - I am an audio novice and trying to get my Shure MVL Lavalier Microphone to connect to my Zoom F3 and I am using the RODE VXLR Pro to adapt the 3.5mm to the XLR connector of the F3. It is not working, is that because the lav is TRRS and not TRS? Do I need a different adaptor or do I need a lav that is TRS? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

great video! Any chance you can review/analyze the Ulanzi Video Fast Heavy Duty Tripod? Its at around the same price of the Smallrig Freeblazer BUT provides additional features at the price of the more expensive Free blazer option. I'm also wondering who else makes that Neewer Fluid Head. There's a few companies doing these kinds of heavy duty but cheap tripods. These include Ulanzi Video Fast (mentioned earlier), YC Onion Pineta Peak, SCG T8, E-Image GH06. I've seen that the SCG T8 also has a substantial construction so maybe that Neewer unit is a carbon/replica of the SCG version? Curious to your thoughts on that.

The YC Onion i nearly purchased last year but I didn't consider it worth the cost they get you on the price of every single little item of their tripod. As for the smallrig freeblazer I reviewed I found out later I disliked the feet. They would flip back and forth 2 easily and it caused the tripod to fall with the camera on it twice and the actor I sometimes work with tried to help once and the tripod fell and broke my cameras hot shoe port and that was the end for me. The range on this unit sounds very low. "not very crisp" is the best way to describe it. Not a deal breaker, but as soon as you get over $80 CAD, I expect better. It is aesthetically pleasing, so that does count for a bit and coming with a desk mount is actually quite nice to see.

@@MDxGano i think a lot of people are missing audio from mics that spund low resolution the AM8 sounds good but some of the audio sounded like old audio compression... The same price range is also reviewed here. This microphone could have a different frequency response that could be more narrow. In this price range i find there is always a sacrifice of some sort somewhere. The PD400X is an higher end unit with nice tone and the USB equalizer tuning is wonderful but self noise so the PD400X I see best for Podcasting speaking close to the mic or game streaming. Sadly more self noise than the cheaper options but better tonal frequency response. In about 3 weeks I expect to be reviewing another XLR / USB mic option

@sparkestudio
@sparkestudio Ай бұрын
I wrote Hollyland support before, one issue would be how slow they are to respond. If you want to know bad service you should check out Gigabyte and their cracked GPU PCB's being big on certain high end GPUs and they deny warranty. Asus and the huge issue of trying to charge customers for unrelated stuff. Gamers Nexus has done videos on both. Companies are getting away with ridiculous things these days. Back to Hollyland, the major issue I have seen is the units not turning off when placed in the charging case, it's not everyone but some people. For me an issue I had which I state on my part 2 long term experience video on the Lark Max is both mics turning on when the one only is removed BUT for me is fixed in the newest firmware. Sony, check out all the issues and complains and lack of support in the new cameras and what Sony has done with the latest firmware and the battery warning and how it knocks out peoples recordings. Tech companies are getting away with things they shouldn't and it's got stop or it'll only get worse.
