I am doing Drake and had problems with the pattern. Row 22 said crochet 24sc and 1 decrease 6 times plus 24 well you only have ,66 stitches from the last row doesn't add up unless I am reading something wrong. Please advise

I love the no sew Axolotl by CrochetByGenna. Super easy to follow and only took me about 30 minutes to make with reading it for the first time and being a relatively slow crocheter

The pattern that you liked but didn't like I purchased and made the smaller one. The seller was really willing to help me when I struggled with legs. Sometimes its hard to see stitches when using chunky yarn. She did another video with smaller yarn. I found, for me, it was easy to sports in same way the horns were attached. I just didn't do well making it look right fitting into as shown.

Your reviews are very helpful! Thank you so much! Could you tell me what Octo pattern you use? I see that All From Jade has 3 or 4 different Octo patterns. I would love to know the one you use.

I wanted to add if you are looking for more content ideas... I would love to see yarn reviews just like this (even the same yarn again) by store. When I decide I want to try a new project, I am so impatient and don't want to wait to have something shipped so knowing the best (and worst) yarns from the local big box stores (Michaels, Hobby Lobby & JoAnns.. maybe throw in Walmart and Dollar Tree) would be handy. I have tried about 4 of the HL plush yarns and I def have some thoughts.. LOL But I am not a youtuber so maybe I will email them to you if I ever sort them out and put them on paper . LOL Anyway, I love your videos and will watch whatever you do next.

Thanks for your help! I’m new to fluffy yarn and I messed up by buying the cheaper option at Michael’s, Loops and Threads rather than Bernard Blanket. L & T shed so much and broke when I tried to sew my pieces together.

I am so impressed with your progress! I have been crocheting off and on for 17 years, and making toys for about 8 months and have yet to make anything that I could possibly sell. My projects look like they belong on the island of misfit toys. Lol. Keep the videos coming! ❤

Found you yesterday and now going back to the start after watching lots of your yarn reviews. I would have thought you had been making amigurmis for years! Do you make many adjustments when using a pattern that's got worsted/acrylic for plush yarn? Or do you just hope it works out? I'm in love got chenille for the softness and it doesn't hurt my hand but nervous to try a pattern not made for it.

I love how you use the same pattern to test. Great seeing the differences. All I've used is Just Chenille. I actually just stocked up yesterday (June 2024) Out of the 5 stores in my area, only two had yarn. Each of the two had some the other one didn't.

I love this breakdown. I bought one chenille yarn from premiere and I do not like it. It fell apart if. I were to tug it a little bit it would break. I don't understand how people can love it so much. I feel as if you were to give a toy to a child to play with that thing will fall apart really easily.

Hi karen. i realise I'm a bit late with a comment, but I struggled with the Pom Pom, it kept splitting. I also take forever to choose a pattern and worry that they are getting more and more expensive, considering they are downloads.. Please keep turning out your videos, I love your honesty and your happy ways.

Rewatching all your yarn review videos. I have only been doing amigurumi for one month and only in worsted weight yarn, because that's what I'm most comfortable with, and I like doing complex designs. However, I'm considering doing some patterns in the future with a "chunkier" yarn, but still close to a worsted weight. I know you have compared some of your chunkier yarns to a worsted weight size, but do you have an octo done in worsted weight to see a comparison. I would love to see that in a vid someday.

I love watching what you make. I have just started making Amigarumi and already have a huge box full. I am a bit addicted . I have made a few of the mamamademinis Loveys and decided I wanted to make one of the plushies. I chose the Moxi monster and lost track with my stitches at the neck. I knew enough to figure that the 3 sc in one stitch was an increase that needed to be either the back or the front of the neck. I could not tell from the pictures where I was supposed to put these stitches and the pattern doesn’t say. I did it backwards of course! The plushies have this curved sticky out bottom that I had turned out on his front. I then pulled it out and did it backwards again !!! lol. So annoying. I have written a note on the pattern for next time now. Honestly it wasn’t intuitive for me where they should go. I love your input and thoughts on patterns. 😀

For the one that looks like cookie monster, try adding in an acrylic yarn of similar color , making it a 2yarn crochet which will give you a better way of feeling stitches as well as being able to do blo /flo crochet.

For the double crochet legs with light stuffing, you could make a fabric pouch with stuffing in it and tie it off (like a sock with stuffing) and put it in the legs so thw stuffing doesnt pop out!

What I do to prevent holes when doing increases has been helpful lately! A friend of mine showed me and I have been doing it for the last few years! When you increase, don't go thru both loops! Go thru the front loop for the first stitch of increase and then both for the second stitch of increase!
