All of my Tyco Diesels have the MU2 motor and drive. Do you like the Power Torque?
@dirtydanstrains14149 сағат бұрын
@@jimorlando5700 I do, if taken care of properly they really aren’t that bad.

GP20 Also I may or may not have just gotten about 200 locomotives and cars for free.

Nice clean up! Putting those power torques back together usually takes a bit of swearing! Merry Christmas Dan!
@Stormysteamie14 сағат бұрын
Honestly the Chattanooga is just imitating the average TTTE mod for TS19 in how the drivers are just turning faster than the train's actual speed lol

A classic DIRTYDAN restoration, well done Tyco Man. You know if it’s cold outside if you walk outside and it’s cold.

You can even use AHM or TYCO trolley cars for a ''trackster'' as well in upstate NY there's a NYC subway car used as a ''trackster'' on the Metro North railroad.

That pick up truck looks almost the old Aurora ''T-Jet'' slot cars.

someone really stole the Chattanooga’s trucks, but what’s also interesting is the fact that it’s really hard to trace the origin of the backflip. Some say that John Backflip performed the first backflip in 1316 in medieval Europe. However, Backflip was eventually exiled after his rival, William Frontflip, convinced the public that Backflip was using witchcraft.

I think the trains and vehicles Will be zamak (die cast metal) body metal and chasis plástic parts like a hotwheels with same scale 1/87 Ho

I can see the changes in production. The trucks on the cars are different with roller bearing trucks, but there is one thing that I never liked to well from a certain locomotive offered. The fuel tank on the C430 looks quite weird. I'm not sure why Mehano made this fuel tank the way they did. It will always be a mystery on what the thinking for it was at the time.
@Railfanner4459Күн бұрын
Honestly the Mahano Chattanooga would be better if it was a 2-8-2 as I could picture that doing freight work
@brianbenson1973Күн бұрын
Great video Dan, I noticed the cars have the modern day roller bearing trucks compared to the old (friction bearing) Bettendorf trucks Tyco use to use on their cars, very cool!

I had one of those vans in blue back in the day. (Yes, I'm a bit old now.) It was surely a novelty item back when I was a kid. As far as the construction goes, it's basically a slot car that was designed to run on the rails. So, the performance is to be expected for the design due to its small size. I would like to say as a novelty it, it did help to pique some interest in the hobby even though they were not the greatest runners.

It's possible the Mehano C430 tooling was derived from Pemco tooling

Though Tyco trains weren't the best overall in quality, compared to many today...they have always had and still do have a kind of interesting/good charm about them. I had many a Tyco train in my youth, and they still have a place in my heart today.

Those Tyco hopper cars are too light weight. I bet if you used some Ulrich all metal hopper cars this accessory would work much better.

Nice and impressive but for me (no offense) 'action accessories' isn't my thing to me it would be too 'toy like' and 'gimmicky' when it comes to my model trains im very conservative im not into gimmicks and short lived fads..
