With three kits, I bet Sleepy hasn't been getting much sleep. 😄 Nice video! What is that mini-cathedral in your yard?
@mixer616610 ай бұрын
Building a cathedral is a life long dream of mine. I just love all of them, especially the gothic ones. This one is loosely based on Salisbury Cathedral. I would have liked to build a proper stone one but that takes about 300 years. So I decided to convert the kids playhouse which was and still is just used for storage. I built it in small sections that can be removed in winter. Another sort of rule I have is that I only use scrap wood and scrounged parts and paints for all my projects, like the piano and the feeders. The cathedral was once a big Ikea desk I pulled out of the garbage up the street. I've been working away at it in pieces over the last 2 years and the next step is a bell tower and steeple. lol. I already have the wood. Can you imagine Boomers in the bell tower?

@mixer616610 ай бұрын
@@thedativecase9733 I visited there as well in 2010. It's stunning, even with scaffolding on one side when I was there. Very difficult to rank cathedrals as they are all special but Salisbury would be top 3 for me. I read Ken Follet's World Without End and Pillars of the Earth before I visited. Those novels are based on that cathedral so it was really amazing to see it in person. I felt like I helped build it after reading those books. LOL! Plus a copy of the Magna Carta and tons of important people resting there. I would go again in a heartbeat.

@thedativecase973310 ай бұрын
That pestering of mum to join in the play seems to be a general thing with baby animals. I've seen baby badgers in the UK and baby groundhogs doing the same thing. Mums usually have the same response. The baby badgers were the funniest taking a massive run-up to bump into mum.

All the squirrels here in Ontario grow long fur in the winter and then shed it in the spring. It makes it hard to tell who’s who when they keep changing fur. Lol. Also didn’t know black squirrels weren’t more common in the world. We have more blacks than greys I would say.
