I think I have a new favorite actress. The girl who played Mia is adorably cute. This movie puts the horror in horror movie.(as does the first & second one) They make old classics like Halloween & Friday the 13th, look tame in comparison. The pipe down the throat w/ a rat chaser, was so disgusting.

Great reaction! Makes me wanna rewatch it again, I'd forgotten how efficient it was at being spooky. You may have missed at around 18:00 in the movie when she's in the kitchen listening to the radio, there's a reference to The Ritual, implying both movies happen in the same universe (they're also both adapted from books by the same author, IDK if the books themselves happen in the same connected universe). Both monsters are similar in concept: preying on people's guilt, offering healing/eternal life to those who provide them with sacrifices. In my mind they're the same 'species' of Eldrich god.

George is the central character but I reckon the real heart of the film is Mary. She is the light and Potter is the darkness. George is like a piece of flotsam between them.. (That she is called Mary is deliberate as is the use of Potters Field, this is a very Godly film. Also Potter's henchman is always there and is very sinister.Could he be the devil and Potter is one of his demons?)

Kyle Gallner is so hot in this movie. 🥵 also looking forward to seeing the lead (Willa Fitzgerald) in more movies because she was phenomenal. To be able to convey a character that’s so nasty and to get people to root for you and sympathize is not an easy task and she pulled it off. Great movie, great reaction. ❤

I was so surprised by this movie. When I was a teenager I used to watch The Whitest Kids U Know (funny sketch so) and when I heard Zach Cregger was writing/directing a horror movie I was like WTF cuz he’s a comedian.. loved it tho. He has another horror movie coming out called Weapons that will be out January 2026.

The sublime emotional center of this movie is when the final piano rag by Jelly Roll Morton begins when the moving truck is taking off. The music is arranged by David Boeddinghaus and simply devastates me every time I hear it, see it, digest it. “For Charles…”

Cheers from Norway! I just watched it yesterday. My opinion is: fantastic movie! Its so effed but its so fukked that its funny 😂 Its so over the top. David Thornton is Art, he is the best. The funniest is when Sienna is bound and Art just slaps her. Like, you dont have to do that, he is just a dick 😂

A plot exists. Like the 2nd and this one if full of it?? I agree with those who say the first one has no proper story, but the last two movies has plenty of it. Also it was confirmed at the end of the 1st movie that he's supernatural. He shot himself and was brought back to life.

I've seen quite a few reactions to this movie and this is one of the best. Even this little snippet of "When The Tigers Broke Free" brings a lump to my throat. For a very good deep-dive into the movie and album hop over to Amy's channel at Virgin Rock.
