Thanks for this documentary. I have been studying ancient funerial practices and the extremely well preserved Tarim Desert Mummies is one of the best to study.

The Tarim Basin mummies show 72% ANE dna ancestry. This is the highest concentration of this old lineage in any bronze age people. The Ancient North Eurasians were foundational components of many other groups across Europe, Asia, and even America.

This is an astonishing find. There are many earthquakes in this area, so some or most of them may have been killed where they stood by falling rock and debris. Salt is a very powerful preservative. The man with the deluxe boot and beard is the best.

Tarim is another inconvenient bit of archeological data for China. You notice there is no mention of the DNA of the people buried there. This is a touchy subject for the CCP. The entire area of eastern Asia which they occupy MUST have been occupied only by Chinese people since the beginning of time, case closed. So, let's talk about cheese. Looks like the cheese was from Tibet, another place which has been occupied by Chinese people since the dawn of time. Uh, huh.

This video confuses the Lavant drum with the Burton Agnes Drum. While the narrator discusses Lavant drum, which was found in 1993, the video images show the excavation of the Burton Agnes drum in 2015. The drum found at Lavant is simpler, with only a few incised lines rather than the complex relief carvings. From the photos that I have seen (you can Google it) the Lavant drum seems to be closer to cylindrical than the other drums. I have not seen any published dimensions for the Burton Agnes drum, but from the photos from when the Burton Agnes drum was on display alongside the Folkton Drums at the "World of Stonehenge" exhibition, it seems to be larger than the small Folkton drum, and smaller than the middle-size Folkton drum. It could be a nine-wrap drum like the one found at Lavant, but this is not at all clear from the information that I have been able to find.

The harrowing thing here is the people outside who got buried in lava; they weren't outside staring at the eruption like a bunch of dumbasses--they were outside trying to rescue earthquake victims.

It is so hard to make any realistic assessment of the Otzi man such as his people, culture, and origin. The truth is that he and his DNA literally predates everything we know about anyone in that region of Europe. Many people could have lived a nomadic lifestyle at the time. Genes being carried back and forth across different regions. People groups change over time. He is a vitally important and limited snapshot of that specific time in prehistory. Thank God he was preserved and discovered for our benefit.

3 possibilities for the couple. -either died of the heat being trapped in an ''oven'' ; -hunger/dehydration -Lack of oxygen as the ash will cover the cracks of the door and fill the window and chimney. The fact that she seemed ''asleep'', which is usually how you die of a lack of O2 is you feel sleepy and weak so you go to sleep. and the other realising she's dead, tries one last time to crawl at the door but ultimately perishes on his belly trying the door. sad and horrible stuff yo.

I agree with others here. I think this room was painted black to highlight the frescoes illuminated by the oil lamps. The answer is just so black & white. 🤭 Hiding the soot marks? I doubt it. If, this was so then "everyroom" would have been painted black. Doesn't make sense. Who would want to live in a house with walls painted black?
