He settled on a born black insert and will buy a Pepsi insert. ( if RSC allows for Pepsi on a black bien watch, maybe it differs in Japan because in the US they would refuse. At the end isn’t it the same thing ? Both were born with black insert and will be fitted with a Pepsi. Just curious if the reasoning not trying to be a **** Cheers from California.

Interesting court decision. I'd say if either the case or the movement is not Rolex, it is not a Rolex watch anymore. Perhaps also the dial and hands. But I don't think an aftermarket bracelet (or strap) makes it no longer a Rolex. I know many Rolex owners who change straps often. I also don't have an issue with someone putting an aftermarket acrylic crystal on a vintage Rolex (happens often, even with six figure watches). Just disclose it. Same with anything on the watch that is not original Rolex - just disclose it, price it accordingly and be honest about it.

Is it me or is that a service dial? It appears to have a modern looking thin frame font on hour markers. I know those dials were released in 2009ish on the 3186 movement. Curious if that’s the case @watch symposium

I’ve been passing along my Rolex collection to my son, one watch at a time. This Christmas I’m giving him my Batman. For me, there is something special about having the opportunity see him enjoy the watch before I die. I’d like to pass along my enthusiasm for watches to him. One day he’ll have them all.

This is exactly why I got into watches too. Gotta wear them every day so ot becomes the childhood memories of your kids, and when it's time to pass them on, they're way more than just expensive jewelry.

I think the fad with luxery watches is finished. I could careless about Rolex or anyother watches. There are more important things than watches that no one noticeses.
