Why do we like narcissists in fiction but hate them in real life? Because we understand the difference between real life and fiction. In make believe, the hulk exists. Hulk smash the narcissists, good guys win. In real life, all we can do is talk to the narcissists, but guess what? Talking is their super power.

If the comment section on a seperate video is to be believed, this case is apparently being taught in some law schools as part of lectures on copyright law. The mere possibility of that being true brings me immense joy.

I think but I'm not certain that when he says: "Mediocre, Morsov!" Slit is actually impressed. They just don't know what mediocre means because when Immortan uses it they think it's good

What annoyed me the most was that she was trying to pretend she couldn't explain the difference between fanfic and a trope. Then again, she would have to explain it is a genre, and that brings up that you can't own a genre. Give an example of what a fanfic would be, "if i wrote a story in the Harry Potter world where Harry and Draco date. That is a fanfic because i don't own Harry Potter." For God's sake, she was being purposefully daft about it. That poor man probably hadn't even heard the term fanfiction before that case.

Why don't Mark, Roger, etc. make a deal with Benny to turn the lot next door into a homeless shelter/rehab center AND Cyber studio? And pop some condos on top still if you want. The homeless start off and end this story in the same place and its sad.

This movie could’ve been great if they had a better and more fleshed out history of the world building and also had at least a writer have actually experienced or at least studied racial bias both systematically and/or personality

Loved this movie as a kid, it was the film that got me into phantom and music and theatre in general by extension. As an adult, the film has many flaws and can be laughable at parts but I still think it’s not THAT bad from an entertainment standpoint.

The ending would've been better if Meg sang the song at the last minute and killed the Phantom. Imagine it, spending ten years next to man obsessed over Christine, resenting her success, waiting patiently for a chance to get her out of the way, only to suddenly realise the cause of her misery were him and her mother all along. Too bad the Phantom is ALW's alter ego and won't let go.

Studio Ghibli also did this kinda practice, since mid-90's they never hired professional voice actors (read: seiyuu) and hired live action actors to do voice acting in their animated features. Probably just because Miyazaki hates mainstream anime and the seiyuu industry.

I knew about the Albert Goldman book and even read it at some point. But all the graverobbing ghouls in their orbit at the time I'd never heard about. Obbiously I'm not surprised, especially at this late despicable date, but being such a Beatles and Lennon fan I am surprised these sad scandals never got on my radar.
