Introducing the XVive PX System a 3 Channel headphone amplifier. The XVive PX is a personal monitor that allows you to mix 3 channels and has panning options for those 3 mono channels to be on the left, center, or right. You can power up to 5 of the XVive PX-A units from a single 9V DC/2A center negative power supply.

One use case I see is maybe for singer songwriters or duos, who plays in smaller venues with analog mixers. But for larger band context it would be way to complex to set this up. Also cable management would be a pain.

I would think this is a good simplified setup for singers while you strategically mix for them, think a p16 as two Inputs and if you have a mic splitter that is preamped with a pass through you give them their voice, this also allows more strategic use of channels if you establish a good separation of vocals into fewer channels on a p16 knowing that each singer can hear themselves

Thank you for doing these videos. I am ordering all my equipment for a mobile church that we started a year ago. I have watched all your videos and the have been immensely helpful. I wonder if you could take some time to make a video about the pitch fix effect on the wing. I'd love to learn about it. Also, generally speaking, I am still a little confused on the differences between bus, matrix, dca, etc. Thanks again

Hey drew! Great video! This may be impossible but I’m wondering if such a device exists (or could exist) that gives two or three channels of XLR and also IEC power over Ethernet just like the PXB?!
@arguy2021
@arguy2021 5 ай бұрын
IEC is a high voltage connection. UTP (commonly referred to as "ethernet") cable is a low-voltage cable, so those two are incompatible just purely from a capacity perspective.

really great for all those performers who does not have possibility to use mobile app for mixer such as X32 or Mixing Station to set up their own mix even during the show

A residential router can be had for less than $50 at most big box stores in North America. I'd recommended picking up one of those and then they can create a local network and the console and any mobile devices could easily be connected to the same local network for mobile app monitor controlling. If the user is already willing to be tied into a cable while on stage (as with this XVive unit), then they could just use the default XLR outputs of the console for their monitors and attach their in ears to an adapter that links the 3.5mm male end to the female XLR.

That center negatieve is going to be a problem imo... Most 9v adapters people have laying around will be center positive unless you do a lot of work with guitar pedals.

Is the PX-H bidirectional where I could insert five cat five audio sources inputed on the 5 outs to output on the single input side. I’d like to use it in conjunction with another piece of cat audio gear I have in my studio.

While not built for it, i think this device is actually a nifty way of sending audio to a camera or laptop for via 3.5mm. Like sure there are dozens of other ways to go about this. but in a situation that you cant run xlrs to a recording device like cameras or computers or don’t have proper means of multitracking this. There’s a fringe use for this. But as for bands and in ear mix, this is overly complicated. Only one person can have a customized mix. Okay sure when the hub 8:00 is incorporated, you can send the 3 pre config’d buses to other places, but i doubt every band would want that sound. Like say drums on bus 1, vox on 2 and tracks/click on 3. Yeah everyone can now turn up or down either of the 3, but if they need more of themselves in the mix-that cant be done without adjusting it for everyone. But on the opposite side, you can have one band member have a very dialed in mix of exactly what they want and broken down into 3 “dca’s” but like that ate up 2 buses i couldve used for other things or band mates. Its a really situational tool that is honestly just better served by having each band member on a bus and having them adjust it on an app or have the monitor engineer preset it. Cool tech and the best part of it is sending audio via ethernet and powered by ethernet, but beyond that it hard to see the proper use case

I use the Behringer P2 Hardwired IEM packs, but the batteries sometimes shift and turn the pack off during a performance. (Very bad!) I just purchased the Art HP1 Hardwired IEM packs, and the casings & release buttons all stick, and I can't get to the battery department. (Very bad.) Is there a hardwired IEM pack that works like the other (2) units, but has none of these issues? If so, please let me know. I need (6) for my band. Thanks! :)

If you have a buddy with a 3D printer, you can fashion a wedge or clip to keep the batteries secure in the P2. In a pinch, a couple pieces of pick and place foam or folded paper do the trick. I’ve had zero issues with these once I found a way to keep the batteries still.

The cost of this device will have to be legitimately inexpensive to be competitive with a simple residential network router/switch/access point combo that can be used to replace the mixing aspect that this unit is trying to provide. A residential router is $50 or less at my local big box store. If the user is already willing to be tied to a cable while on stage, then running an adapter from the XLR output to a long 3.5 mm extension makes the most sense logistically. Then you can control your bus mix from a smart phone if you're on the XR series of mixers.
